Lots of love for Ascended Astarion, the adoration he develops for Tav is so palpable. As a grown woman with a family and successful marriage (that is somehow still weak at the knees because of a fictional character) I told my man the other day that though I come from a broken family and have known trauma I am not a broken person. The solution is simple. establish boundaries and get your priorities right.
Do you still see this as adoration a month later? I see it as intense abuse, the guy is clearly obsessed and has complete control over you. Every answer in the last 2 minutes of this video is left ambiguous, with the implication that you're under his control and can't do anything about it.
@@AtomicBoom227 Yes I still prefer Ascended Astarion. By the looks of it I am not allowed to apply my hopes and wants to Ascended Asatrion. What is the point of a dark fantasy game if you can`t even like what you like without people trying to guilt trip you. Spawn Astarion if you deny ascension becomes a beta orbiter (I know it sounds a bit unfair) and Ascended Astarion becomes the bdsm daddy. I swear I feel like I am dealing with a bunch of kids that see everything in black and white. Hey at the end of the day we can all like what we want there is no right or wrong answer both version of Astarion are good in certain respects and bad in others.

@fortheloveof306 grow up, literally no one is trying to guilt trip you, it's a differing opinion/read on a piece of media. It is normal to offer opinions and discuss analysis of media. Ironic that you say you're dealing with a bunch of kids when you're acting like a child.
It’s the not letting me to become a true vampire. It’s the abused can still become the abuser mentally. He doesn’t want competition and he only wants to control you. The flattery means nothing when he can just control you. It is a video game and many don’t think past that but they should. What if he gets bored of you or doesn’t agree with you? He literally doesn’t see you as anything more then a doll he can play with. That’s the problem I have with Ascended Astarion. Even after all you two have been through and all the “love” he says he has he still wants to complete control you. It’s like a honey trap (he admits he is very good at that) or love bombing. He can do whatever he wants with his dolls after all and if it takes a few sweet words to get a very powerful slave then the answer is quite obvious. If he made you a full vampire and not vampire spawn then I would have believed his words to be true. No matter what word he uses he is doing the same as Casador did to him.

I just started the game last week, first playthrough as Durge lmao and I wanted to ascend Astarion. But I saw lots of comments saying he was bad and stuff, so thank you for sharing this video! This path tickles all my dark vampire fantasies and he seems to genuinely love our character still? He still seems so sweet and I still blush at everything he says lol! I know I'm spoiling myself but oh well, it will still feel different for me watching my own Durge hehe
I find that many people just don’t “get it” and many are just jumping on the bandwagon without actually experiencing the path. Both of his paths are worth playing!
Many people tend to see this game as "black & white" or "good vs evil" and not the many shades of grey in between. Unfortunately, a lot of those same people have a tendency to feel their choices in their own game is for everyone and are not letting others experience the game for themselves, to see how you would react in your personal story with him (or any of the characters to be bluntly honest). So do not listen to others. Make your own choices in your game and do what you feel is best for you. He will never be a Prince Charming from a fairy tale. There are several ways to complete each of the companion's stories and that is all dependent on you & your choices during the campaign. Good luck! Have a wonderful campaign and then try it a different way the next time you play it again! There is something to the effect of thousands of endings depending on your choices and what you do in the game. So, enjoy your game! And remember....not one single character (background, NPC, origin character, or even yourself fits in the only good camp or only bad camp. Choose the color of gray that fits what you are doing.) HAVE FUN AND WELCOME TO BG3!!!! ♥♥♥

He doesnt at all seem like he loves your character still when he refer to you as a pet, he talks to your character in degrading ways! There is a huge difference in how he talks to you when none ascended, yes he isnt a Prince charming but let him becoming a new Cazador is just wrong, with the abusive past Astarion has himself, he loses himself when he ascends

@@VesperOfRoses that’s because he knows he isn’t able to, both because you have the tadpole, and also because the way he turns you (three bites, never buried, nearly painless and highly pleasurable) is the DnD process of creating a vampire bride, described in the dnd van richtens guide to vampires book. Vampire brides are free willed full vampires BUT the vampire lord who creates them often lies and leads them to believe they are normal spawn and under their control, this is described in the DnD guide as well. Eventually tav will figure this out.
In bg3 we see that when spawn are being controlled or compelled, their eyes glow red. If you kill cazador and free his other spawn, their eyes stop glowing because they are free. We never see vampire tav’s eyes glow.
He also tells you he doesn't like the word Spawn and doesn't call you Spawn again after you address it. He also doesn't compel you to stay(Through the Bride/Groom Bond)when you help Karlach in Avernus. As seen above he also permits you to feed off of him which as he said when he was a Spawn had to be allowed for you to be a true vampire. So, you're not a Spawn.
Okay, these outfits are everything. Do you get these from doing this quest or is this something you have to pick up? I've not gotten this far in game before lol

can you break up with astarion after we made you spawn? That's interesting how he avoid to answer question if he can compel you. I think real evil durge would never agree to that (to become spawn), unless the real plan is to control the brain and make astarion nice little puppet.
You can up until endgame and then he just says no, but he doesn’t actually compel tav (in game when cazador compels his spawn, their eyes glow red and they cannot resist)
@@darkurgediaries but still this option not available anymore then(before killing brain)? So for me logical: if you still have tadpole in your head - he can't control you, same as Cazador can't control Astarion. If/when you destroy brain - he can control you, since you become just normal spawn. That's why only one real option is to control brain xD
As the world fall down... sure i saw his preminger vibe but now that here he is ascended i also see a vibe like David bowie as the gobling king in the labyrinth😅, kinda, idk lol. I am watching my 1st playthrough gameplay and what ifs clips that get recomended (the way they appeared when i was watching detroit become human,until dawn,the quarry,etc)

I was incredibly pleased with this outcome considering the nature of my first Durge-a dark elf (non-lolth) sword bard + fae warlock who had an inspired Slaaneshi Cultist twist to her. Orin’s personality would’ve been perfect for her over the Durge’s rather brutish antics, so I had her defy Bhaal for the sake of killing in her own artistic way. 😅
But the romance with Ascended Astarion was a most fitting nice cherry on the top to a now-liberated degenerate, psychotic and sadomasochistic murder-bard. 😎

Yes it’s gortash’s gear dyed black and silver! Lumina’s outfit here is a combination of items from the basket full if equipment mod 🤍

Since he is an ascended Vampire and alive again, he could sire children! Although it's not a good idea for the dark urge to have babies because they will end up bhaalspawn xD

You gain the bite ability but sadly no fangs or cosmetic changes :( there are mods to do this though
@@darkurgediaries damn Sometimes I think that Larian left this game halfway, many things that they could have included and they didn't would have made this game more wonderful than it already is, at least the mods have helped a lot not only thanks to modders but to Larian itself, i just hope they launch the modding tool soon, nice games✌🏻
