I have a question, could you make a quick video going over object placement, like vocals in center, drums in stereo bus, etc. because i would like to see how you place objects compared to my personal experience

Mr. M, I was wandering if something I did in ahleton js dumb, I have a group that has 8 tracks in it and for each of those trscks it represents a speaker. But to actually position it in a binaural environment or whatever I used 8 instaces of dearvrpro and positioned each instance on their own track to where the speaker setup would be from me, then I turned each dearvr instance into a impulse response reverb so that it would do the same thing as the dearvr plugin
I was just wondering if that was a bad idea and if the dearvr plugin is reactive in some sort a way, I was just assuming it'd be a "reverb" that I could copy into an ir
After that I went ahead and played some 8 channel (7.1 surround) through all the tracks all linking to the group and it sounds good, I was just wondering if I'm overdoing it lol. I tried using your video for getting surround sound into ableton but the issue that happened to me was that the e4l vst loader would crash when trying to open the ui for some plugins or the input would be in the wrong order. Another issue occurred earlier on is that when trying to use the injector for selecting each channel that it would decrease in volume as I increased which channel it went to, until silent by the time it reached 5 on the left
Sorry for all the rambling lol, love your content!

This is thr traditioal way of doing multichannel in Ableton. You are not overdoing it, but you are pushing it to a point where switching to an actual multichannel DAW might make your life a lot easier. 😉

@michaelgwagner I'm not involved in music or anything (I mainly just do vocal processing and frequency response correction) but it's just something I wanted to try, appreciate it!

How do we reference adm tracks on iPhone then? Does mp4 support head tracking ?

If the mp4 is encoded with DD+ JOC (i.e. exported through the renderer), played through the Apple Music app and listened to with Airpods, then yes.

In my opinion, if you have a MacBook, and have the capability and funds to do so, importing an ADM file using Logic Pro X Is currently the closest way (in my opinion) to monitor ADM files in spatial audio with head tracking using AirPods, before uploading to streaming services. I have a 7.1.4 Atmos system, but when I am mobile, the head tracking is super great to have!!

You can also use the Audio Movers plugin in any DAW that can import ADM, including Studio One. No need for Logic.
