As usual, great review. I really like the format you use for your reviews...it gives the highlights, important features, and seemingly unbiased impression without getting deep into the nerdy details. Nerdy details are fine, but many times I just want an overview. Anyway, keep up the good work!
Hey Bryan, thanks for the great video. Super concise and easy to follow. After watching many RUclips reviews of different printers, your video has me sold on this delta. Will be my first printer so it feels odd to buck the trend of going with a traditional printer but like you said delta's are fun to watch and I'm really sold on the nearly-turn-key features of newer printers these days.
You strike me as a fellow metal head sir. A lover of metropolis II: scenes from a memory. Like me you cannot believe that album is almost 25 and still consider it new like me until I remember haha

Hi, apparently you can hook the v400 PAD to 3 printers at the same time. Think you could check that out? I have an anycubic predator I would love to try and put Klipper on by using something like that. Great video, thx for the work.
Nice vid. It's just so TALL. Putting it on a standard height counter top means a step stool and at least 8 foot ceilings are mandatory. The spool holder could definitely be improved but that's a little nit-picky. Overall it's pretty impressive.....
Hi Richard! Yeah, the spool holder feels like the same one that was on the SR and the little Q5. I'm debating getting a sit/stand desk to use as the workbench in place of the one I've got now, for those times that I have a tall (or even medium-height) printer.
I like the idea of being able to print up to a height of 410mm but the biggest square you can print is only 210x210 before running off of the base plate and that is this type of printers biggest drawback.
Hello, I was wondering if anyone knows if you are able to mount the printer to your table? It's seems to jolt a fair bit when going fast and 840 dollars in pieces on the floor wouldn't be good. Could it also improve quality just that little bit? Thanks in advance!🙂
Seems like a really good machine! A delta with 300 diameter, 410 tall and that speed makes it really desirable. I wasn’t overly impressed by the print quality though. Would have been nice to see some slower prints too see maximum speed to still get quality prints. really good video though! Thanks!
Funny enough I have an Ender 2 from back in the day. I'd have to buy an Ender 2 Pro, though. That said, they're nice looking little printers, and they're not pricey.
Also, do you know of a good Cura tutorial I could use to learn how to use it properly with the V400? I'm a raw beginner, and although the prints I'm getting now are OK, I'd like to learn more about the way to make things better. Thank you.
Printing at a higher temperature can also help. Usually the inconsistent sheen means your temperature is borderline for the material & speed. 260-280 is probably the working range for printing PETG at these kind of speeds.
Hey All, Bryan, So, I've kinda lost my warm fuzzy feeling. have these units been shipping? I don't do SM, but I have sent 3 unanswered emails. Paid 7 Sept. Aside from the presale influencer ads ^ , all I've noted on youtube are a couple short user vids showing some play in the rod joints. Would love to get a look at one, specially mine.
Hi Mike, I've just sent an email to my contact at FLSun to see if they can help. If you don't mind, send me an email at bv3dchannel@gmail.com so we can keep in touch. RUclips's comment system can be a nightmare to navigate sometimes.
Question: my completed pieces all have a large "splash" layer at the bottom on all of them that I have to trim off. Is there a Cura (Cura 5.3 for me) setting to stop or reduce this? Thanks very much.
@@t1mblumer I don't think that will work. I think the actuator will have to stick out between two of the side-pillars to get the nozzle to the boundary of the build-plate, so if you would have a straight enclosure or wrapping there, it would block that movement. And even if it would work, you then have a very high enclosed volume and hot air rises while the part that needs to be kept warm is at the bottom of that volume. It just seems like a core-xy which moves its bed all the way up is much better suited for an enclosure than a delta.

RE: the Bunny test print. I was thinking that we were looking at a Variable Layer Height print (probably optimized for speed). I've seen my own PrusaSlicer prints look banded like that when I set the variable max thickness in the layer height setting a bit too high compared to the thinnest. The transition between the thick to thin layer regions can leave "bands" like that. Solution was just reslice n print with a decreased max layer thickness value. Also, at least on PrusaSlicer you can "Smooth" the transition between the Max and Min layer thicknesses, which can also reduce obvious "bands". Haha, this is starting to become a run on sentence. So... My point: I bet if you resliced that bunny, with better settings in the variable layer heights, it would look a lot better, though no doubt slower. I prefer the Quality choice myself. I like this machine, and from what I can tell, its not thrashing the guts out of itself at high speed, like some more recent Cartesian high speed designs. That's gotta translate to better Durability somehow.
The discount code works, thanks, but that doesn't take the sting out of the $270 shipping cost. When the shipping cost exceeds 30% of the purchase price, I nope right out of there.
