This is great stuff. I'm about to do many of these jobs on a dirty old builders van I have just bought. I've watched a few of your videos on this van but decided to go back to the start. Thanks for the uploads!
Loving your videos, we have just brought an 05 plate vivaro for kids, cuppas, bikes and surf board. Not doing bad on a budget- loved watching this and reassuring myself that I’m not doing a bad job with the bottom etc. My van is dirtier than yours! Muck everywhere! The cleaning is just coming to an end and it’s starting to go back together so exciting now. I will keep watching your vids for inspiration. - great job.
Thanks for the video. That is the filthiest van I have ever seen. You did a fantastic job cleaning it. I use the supermarket trolley wipes to clean my steering wheel. That works well. Have a great day.
you can use this spray, but it is expensive. you need a lot of cans to get a good result. I prefer hammerite paint. If you want to reduce the noises, the cargo space partition is the first step. That changes everything!
Cracking job! Looks so much better. Looking to get one of these for work soon.. upsizing from a Berlingo. Great video, hope the van has been reliable for you 👍🏼
I couldn't quite read the black screw packets for the step cover at the rear and side of the van sliding door, I've taken mine out but the screws were destroyed in the process! Is there any chance you could let me know the 2 different lengths please? Nice one cheers!
Hi again, I got the screws from eBay (item No. 373060908438). The 2 sizes I bought were:- 8 x 3/8 (4.2mm x 19mm) and 8 x 5/8 (4.2mm x 16mm). I’ll update the video description too. Cheers Larcs
You should paint all the outside plastics black which it's their original color! I do not know how they paint it white if it looks ugly that way. If it were mine it would be the fist thing i would do. Or buy new ones they're cheap
I'm going through the exact same steps you have done. Spent a good few hours degreasing and using detol on the cab! Makes such a difference! Next up, sound proofing 😬 keep up the good videos 👍
I only clicked to see what the inside size was like as I'm looking to build out a camper. Is this a swb ? A cheap fix for the steering wheel would be a cover saves the hassle of messing with the whole airbag system also can even get ones you sew on that look nice for only a few pound
Hi Lindz thanks for your comment, sorry I didn't get back to you sooner (for some reason I've only just got notification of your comment???). It's a long wheel base van, although the headroom in the back is not very good. Although it's smaller outside, my VW T3 (T25) feels bigger inside and has better headroom. Obviously they are a lot older and starting to get expensive now too. Thanks for the tip on the steering wheel, I'll have a look. Cheers Larcs.
Nice van mate. The steering wheel is shot though I’m afraid, the finish had gone and your down to the rough foam inside. Just upgrade to a leather wheel
@@machomanOOOOHYEEEAH - Curiously compatibility wise. This van is a Renault, on later generations with a Nissan engine (2.0 DCI). From Opel/Vauxhall there's basically the badges, with that said. When looking for interchangeable parts. The Renault "shelf" is the place to look! ;-) Cheers
My sliding door handle is loose and I mean the whole thing pulls out about 4mm. Is there a way to fix this? My steering wheel was very sticky so i lathered it in a degrease then bought a lovely leather cover with shiny inlays. Very nice now. The floor can be refurbed using back to black bumper restorer.
Thanks 😃. The Vactan is good at converting & stabilising the surface rust, I don't think red oxide would be as good. It would work well on top of the Vactan, as a sort of primer. Cheers Larcs 👍

G101 cleaner from amazon will do the trick for the whole van including that roof.hope this helps.
Thanks, I've got some now, to use on the TT. We'll see how I get on with it 😃

A bit like the muzzle for the CONvid. Doesn't do much for a cold.

Thanks, I've used both now and prefer Hammerite too. I can't fit the partition now as I've fitted a swivel seat.

That's funny, literally looking to do the same thing from a Berlingo!
I wud just get a steering wheel cover from a car parts store. Great job getting it clean.
Thanks, I'll look for one👍.

I put a leather steering wheel cover on my vivaro to cover the tatty wheel. Took an hour or so to stitch it on
Thanks 👍. Where did you get it from?

Thanks for the comment 😃. This is a budget build so it'll cheaper to keep the white.

@@LarcsWorkshop i said that because it doesn't look nice all white and there are some spots where you still have the black.
Looks good for a non VW! Cheers

@@LarcsWorkshop you might find a nice leather wheel off a Laguna or Espacé mate. Good work so far👍

How many cans of that rust oleum did you use ?

That front end looks a bit different from other Vivaros - is it some kind of after market body kit, or am I losing it?!
As far as I know it's just a standard early front end painted. Cheers Larcs 👍
@@LarcsWorkshop I hadn't noticed the earlier ones looked like that tbh I prefer it - many thanks m8 👍

What a difference, you did a nice job. Would red oxide have been an alternative to the vactan?

Do the passenger seats fold down on this model?
Hi, no they don't fold down.

Yeah not the dirtiest van by a very long shot
