- Here's another cut unreleased Halo 2 mission from the Halo Digsite crew! This was from an older release but is available to fully playthrough. Let's take a look at what this mission is like!

The name is interesting because in the Halo 3 ODST you can see an arcology structure in the distance in old mombasa.
In the E3 trailer there is also that weird cut plateau thing that can be considered one too.
It makes sense because the game happened during Halo 2, the name is misleading
Id prefer that 343 release the Halo 2 E3 demo

I keep hoping a dedicated mod team will band together and try to remake Halo 2's campaign as close as possible to Bungie's original vision for it. Forerunner Tank and all.
the halo 2 that was advertised during e3 2003 was not the halo 2 we ended up getting. There i said it.

Yeah, it looks pretty unfinished. Seems more like a testing map rather than a full fledged mission judging by how short and incomplete it is.
Always loved Halo 2's and ODST's futuristic metallic roads. Hate how the "remaster" changes them to tarmac.
Yeah it's meant to look like Forerunner architecture things being metallic and stuff because Humans are Forerunner but 343 ruined that.

@@Jolis_Parsec That's what I am saying. In Bungies lore humans are the same as Forerunner they are the inheritors because they are the direct descendants.
Part of the way Bungie showed this was by making New Mombasas architecture reminiscent of Forerunner architecture but more primitive with structures like our own. Its showing humaniry is on its way to progressing to that really advanced technology that their pre Halo firing forefathers had built up all over the galaxy.
343 changed the lore and so didn't care about these details and changed the roads to be like tarmac.
Explain the point of having an ancient spacefaring humanity that battles against the Forerunners rather than any of ten Covenant species doing the same, if the objective wasn't to smooth over the obvious continuity errors that cropped up when they changed the Forerunner lore.
Finally, an _actual_ cut campaign mission and NOT a milestone build map.

@@ThisBirdHasFlown I know but it's taken Heed until now to get to it and now he is actually justified in using the title "Cut Campaign Mission" because this actually IS one.
I’ve seen this level before, 343 streamed it years ago although it was from an ancient dev kit og xbox, which also had a playable version of the famous e3 demo
Branching Campaigns would be cool.

This layout reminds me of the tank section in ODST
The one I'm really looking forward to is the halo 1 E3 2000 map, the one with the dinosausrs, the robot voice chiedf, the forerunner tunnels and the elites holding shields
General Heed try not to find new content in old Halo games challenge impossible
Modders could make a good singleplayer mission with it (completing it).

Almost every single Halo central RUclipsr is unfathomably bad at Halo to the point you'd think they'd never even touched an FPS before.
