- Hawaii has a lot of visitors from across the United States. Being from one of the most isolated places in the world, it's sometimes hard to know what life is like in other places. This is a comedic video about what Hawaii people think about your state. Most of it is in Pidgin English, but I've added subtitles.

Yes! I LOT of Hawaiians do move to Oregon. When I was in college, a lot of kids came from Hawaii for college and decided to stay. When my son was in high school, one of his classmates came to stay with Aunty to play football for high school for a year. It turned out the Aunty and I had the same nicknames for our two football boys: “Boo-boo.” It was funny when we’d each scream “Go-o-o Boo-Boo!!”For our kids. His mom in Hawaii made him go back after that one year, though.

Lived in Hawaii for 28 years and it took me a while before I noticed the subtitles were different from what he was actually saying. Didn't notice cause they mean the same thing 🤣(My brain just reads subs automatically I can't ignore them)

Just a heads up, your map for Michigan and Wisconsin are off a bit. The upper peninsula (occupied Wisconsin) is part of Michigan. Love your videos though, keep it up! I'm a Florida native and want to visit Hawaii. I hear it's very similar in that you have two sides, one for tourists and one for locals and I think it would be fun to see that somewhere else. I just don't want to be on the tourist side, but not much I can do about that if I'm being a tourist.
Never been to Florida, but I can imagine the polarizing sides. It's a challenge to balance life for locals and life for tourists.

I liked Oregon a lot. Enjoyed my time in Portland.
I knew several people in college (Western Oregon) who had come from HI and decided to stay. I still remember one friend, freshman year, started cheering and dancing in the snow the first time it snowed. He had never seen snow in real life before that.

I always viewed my state as a pot……But now I can’t get the image of a butcher knife out of my head. In hind sight, I think that butcher knife is more appropriate.
