SAA will end their flights to Munich as of 29 Feb 2020, along with Hong Kong and Sao Paulo in order to save their profit drastically. SAA will retire all of gas guzzling Airbus A340s. SAA flies first time to Munich back in July 2007 with daily flights in order to replace Paris flight which was ended in late October 2007. But sad to see that SAA will bid farewell with Munich, after nearly 13 years serve Munich. Hope Lufthansa will launching Munich to Johannesburg route to replace SAA with new A350.
Ich wünsche Euch beiden eine wunderschöne Zeit in Deutschland!!! (= I wish you both a wonderful time in Germany!!!) Sam, the cake you ate was made either with cherries or with rhubarb. I never saw or ate something with cranberry! That's very unusual in Germany.
Thanks! Yeah, they really get you at the airport for exchanges rates :( LOL, it is fine on International flights but the domestic service is pretty bad I must say without complimentary meals, wine or even a checked baggage ;)
You really are so good at this it's a pleasure watching as we look so forward to your vlogs , this was great and what a journey to Germany , I like Germany especially Berlin , keep up the fantastic vlogs and stay safe , you as we say in England are legends lol
Love these flying videos. BTW, curious as to what your average rate per night is at AirBNB? Trying to figure out what I should be budgeting. Also, do you guys usually get a room, apt or house? Thanks.
Thank you! We like making these vlogs especially for flights because it gives us something to do while in transit...lol That is really good question. To be honest it depends on where we're visiting. Generally speaking, in say cheaper parts of the world like SE Asia, South America and Eastern Europe we're trying to find apartments in the $20 to $40 range per night looking for our own place. If it is North America, Western Europe or expensive parts of Asia (Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore, etc) we'll bump our budget up to $40 to $70 a night trying to find our own apartment but also considering staying in a room within a house or apartment if it has really good reviews. I think the biggest key for us is to find places that fit within our budget, have great reviews and also have a really good location. Sometimes if a city has awesome transportation (for example Hong Kong) we'll stay a bit further from the center to get a more spacious room at a better price if we can get to the downtown core in say 15-30 minutes by public transportation.
Thanks for the info. Might be a good idea if you guys make an AirBNB list of places you recommend. Don't think any of the travel vloggers have done anything like that, Maybe you can make a deal with AirBNB and hotels to get sponsorship for your travels.
We mostly travel independently but part of our trip to South Africa was sponsored during our time in Stellenbosch. In Cape Town we paid for everything ourselves including our apartment and meals.
@@samuelandaudrey Thanks for being so nice. Sorry I laughed. It's an Afrikaans word, and as an Afrikaner, it sounded really, really funny. rooi = red, bos = bush.
True in UK too, but then 1h 40 m here would take you from one end to the other and back of course. I love Germany but, apart from cakes and sausages, I have never been wowed by any food there...so am hoping you discover something for future exploration. Enjoying your vlogs very much xx
Don't ya just "love" those "travel days" that seem like you are in some time warp. I once did a 36 hour London to Sydney via the USofA .... fffffaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrr
LOL, time warp is definitely the best way to describe it. I can only imagine! Our one trip to Australia involved 3 back to back 8-9 hour flights from Frankfurt to Abu Dhabi to Brisbane and then a domestic flight to Townsville. Full on zombie mode by the time we arrived.
German Baked goods are always amazing
They're just so so good :)
You guys are the Best Couple on RUclips have a great day 📸👍👍👍👍📸
Ah, thank you very much! We love making videos :)
I had a lot of Rooibos tea in Munich, you should look around for it
Thanks! Good to know :)
you have to get doners while you're there....the one thing i miss about Germany is donors...that and their bread rolls...brochen...yummm
Oh, great suggestion! Definitely one of the best street food items in Germany.
Great Vlog. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you for watching! :)
Eagerly waiting for Munich travelogue :)
Lots of love!
Ah, thank you! We're definitely hoping to get to Munich.

I would not exchange money in airport...
Haha, the dig at air Canada meal
Thanks! Yeah, they really get you at the airport for exchanges rates :( LOL, it is fine on International flights but the domestic service is pretty bad I must say without complimentary meals, wine or even a checked baggage ;)

Being an Italian I gotta say that a kiwi pizza seems way better than a pineapple pizza 😂

Thank you very much! We're really happy to be back in Germany. Ah, Berlin is an awesome city. We've considered it as a base in the past.

one thing to ask..does anyone sponsor your tour ....

Samuel and Audrey - Travel and Food Videos thanks a lot.. lots of love from Nepal...
Sam, how many glasses of wine did you actually have?
I think I had 4 bottles in total. 2 each on both flights ;)
i really really wants pizza like ASAP
I wish we could share a slice with you :)
are you in Germany now? I live in Frankfurt and I love your vids
We're just in Nuremberg for now but we're hoping to maybe do more travel in Germany in the fall. Munich is on our radar.
"roy bis", you say? Hahahaha "RRRRoy Bohss!"
Thanks for the correction!
@@samuelandaudrey Thanks for being so nice. Sorry I laughed. It's an Afrikaans word, and as an Afrikaner, it sounded really, really funny. rooi = red, bos = bush.
It is such a great tea. We've heard it is very healthy as well.
@@samuelandaudrey Yes, it is: some Afrikaners drink it every day, others only when they're sick.
Sorry if it’s a too personal question: but how can you guys afford to travel that much?
Peanuts and oxygen...THAT made me laugh out loud :)
Hahaha...thanks! That is pretty much true at least for domestic flights ;)

When are you coming to Johannesburg, South Africa?
We'd like to on our next trip :)
Please let me know when you do come I would like to show you the best places around Joburg

If you come to Hamburg you can stay at my place for free ;) njoy your travels!
Wow! Thank you! We might visit Hamburg as Audrey also has relatives living there :)
Samuel and Audrey. If you're interested just let me know. 👍
LOL, Sam attempted to pay in Munich with South African currency?! HAHAHA
LOL, imagine if I got away with it?
It's so weird not seeing any masks in the airport. I kind of miss it😅
:-)
:)
Hi 👋
Hey
Lol 3:41
Thanks!
You like T shirt of Rajasthan
Thanks! I seriously love my India polos :)
no..... no kiwi
haha
I'm sorry but I couldn't watch much of this video because of all the interruptions of the conversations.
Ah sorry for that! We'll try not to talk over each other. It is a bad habit.
I know how exciting it can be to travel. It's hard to hold back your enthusiasm to talk about it.
Yeah, that is true. Appreciate the honest feedback though.
Fals marisu
Yo Sam please change ur eyeglasses frame, its horrible(ugly af), im sure Audrey would agree too, not to be rude or anything.
Hahaha...well, I do have some solid ones but I find it really hard to take pictures with them on because it makes what I'm seeing look really dark.
