First time listener, here because of Tosh. I think his new Podcast is fantastic. It's the only podcast in which I watch every episode. They are only 40-50 minutes long.
Once in an interview, Eminem was asked about how people should take his Slim Shady LP album... and his reply was basically that if you have a sense of humor you should be laughing ypur arse off all the way through. Instead it was then that media branded him a satanist and an antichrist. That album drips wirh irony and sarcasm with truth of his life sprinkled in. Its not MEANT to be taken seriously... which is why he begins his next album with "a lot of people ask me stupid F---ing questions. A lot of people think that what i say in an album I do, or that i believe in it...." To me, Daniel Tosh is the Eminem of standup comedy.... its jokes, its sarcasm with bits.of what we're all thinking sprinkled in. He is the Millenial Don Rickles.
Tosh gets even more sick in his video, Eggplant. I haven't found a live version like this one so it just has a picture of him. But the material is dark humour which he does expertly and makes you laugh and then feel guilty for laughing. LOL
