@@smalltownmachineshop6860 It will not budge. I have the cover off. It is just a slip fit onto the valve shaft. I have put multiple penetrating oils and tried a gear puller. No movement. The replacement I am gonna use slid right off the the shaft with no effort
@@dkardelis heat will help for sure, I use it a lot on them and tap it a bunch with a hammer, the gear cases are usually made out of ductile iron and will break if hot to hard so be careful if your going to wail on it with a hammer, heat and wiggle usually gets them

Thinking of getting a Mapp gas torch to heat the gear box.

I know, I was really glad those small screws didn’t snap off flush with the housing
