Great reaction cant wait for the next. I agree 'I know what you did last summer' and the sequel (forget about the direct to DVD third) This was proabably the most famous slasher that came out right after Scream.

The scene with Dewey and gale really hit knowing they were married and actually divorced irl . I always wonder how hard/easy it was to film that first conversation scene and Dewey’s death scene 😢.
They said they actually had to take breaks filming that because it was really tough for them. Some takes got way too emotional for them. And it’s honestly the best Dewey/Gale argument of the entire franchise.
As much as it saddens me that Dewey was killed, it was kind of poetic for him he saved Sams little sister, where he wasn't able to save Tatum, his little sister. Also, it makes sense for Dewey to be the first legacy character to die out of the three. It gave us a chance to continue watching the Gale/Sidney arc. Dewey's death brought them together and to work as an actual team. Their relationship has grown a lot since the first Scream. Sidney/Dewey always had that brother/sister relationship, and Dewey/Gale always had that on and off again relationship. But Sidney and Gale were never close they always had Dewey has the middle person. With Dewey being gone, it gives them that chance. For those who don't believe that Amber could kill Dewey because of being a girl and due to her size. Dewey was doing good with hand on hand contact. Then he went back and got distracted by his phone ringing. That's the only reason Amber was able to get the upper hand cause he was off guarded. Also, don't forget Dewey has nerve damage/limp, in his 50s, is a drinker now, hasn't stayed active at all, and depression. He wasn't exactly in a good mental state at all. He knew he wouldn't be able to handle it this time around and wasn't going to, but after talking with Sidney, he changed his mind and tried to help. Also, Dewey was never lifted off the ground. Because of the discomfort of both knifes going up in his sternum and back he was following the direction of the knife so he himself was going up on to his toes and then was going down to his knees. Also, the way ghostface was with Sam on the phone trying to make her choose between Tara and Richie, that's something Amber would do. It was her way of proving that Sam was "selfish" and didn't care about her sister.
If any of you guys haven't seen I Know What You Did Last Summer that might be a good movie for you to watch. It was one of the 90's horror movies that spawned from the success of the original Scream movie.
So many people have been confused with the whole Billy storyline, thinking he's portrayed as a ghost or someone with redeeming qualities. That wasn't the case. I liked the idea that she was taking medication because she was having hallucinations of her father, and the pills started to ware off where it was working anymore. (My guess is Richie tampered with them). This was her dealing with the fact that he is her father and afraid of turning into him. But in order for her to go into survival mode, she had to accept of being his daughter and let that in instead of burying it. We were watching her dealing with her mental health and demons. They can do a lot with it in the upcoming Scream movies where she can still use that part of her to survive OR it can make her snap into becoming like her father. It's kind of like how different killers have tried to make Sidney snap mentally due to past trauma (Mickey and Roman), but she always overcame it instead (going to college doing theater, working at a women's crisis hotline, writing a book about overcoming the darkness of trauma and creating a family of her own). So they could take it in the opposite direction for Sam as the main final girl and actually make her snap mentally and become a killer herself. Billy, as a hallucination, was also a good call back to the first Scream when he told Sidney, "It's like Jodie Foster in The Silence of the Lambs, when she keeps having flashbacks of her dead father".
I speculate that it was gonna go deeper in scream 7 (RIP). We don't know much about Sam and Tara's mother but its heavily implied she was an abusive alcoholic towards a young Sam following her husband leaving her. Thus she grew up with her mother hating her solely because she was fathered by a serial killer, and so because her only parental figure was like that her mind created another parent who was actually proud and loved her for what she was. Hence the visions of her dead dad.
Blake’s literal uncontrolled scream at the 40:30 mark shows precisely how good this film was in creating tension throughout. They were STILL able to jump scare audiences after all these decades! A fantastic addition to this fan favorite franchise. RIP Dewey the GOAT.
The name of Judy's son, WES, was a homage to the late veteran director Wes Craven; this being the first Scream movie which was not directed by him since his death in 2015.
😢 - The only solace I've been able to get from Dewey's death is that he died after helping Sam save her little sister. Which is poetic, in a way, because his little sister (Tatum) died in Scream 96. She could've been saved by someone, potentially. I'm sure Dewey felt guilty and partially blamed himself for her death. This setup was his chance to prevent someone else from going through the same thing. I'm incredibly sad that he died, but appreciated that he died saving Tara and Sam. He died as the hero he wanted to be throughout the entire Scream franchise. Awesome reaction!! Dewey will always be one of if not our favorite character. We love that guy! He went out doing what he does best, putting others before himself and protecting them. The definition of hero. It's unfortunate that Dewey and Gale split, we were so happy when they got married, such a power couple! The end of Scream 3 will always be one of our favorite moments from the series! I forgot to say the opening scene in this movie when ghost face says 'Christina' that's Sam and Tara's mom, the lady Billy knocked up. In the first scream after Billy is out of the police station and is at school w/ Sidney u hear a girl say 'hey Chrissy wait up'. Not sure if u knew that but still 😂
Fun Facts: 1. The Original Scream cast did voice overs Drew Barrymore (Casey Becker) was the principal on the intercom in the beginning. Also, yes Matthew Lillard (Stu) was the one in the RUclips channel doing the medal ghostface voice and at the party he's the one that said " Cool house" to Amber when she was walking through. Jamie Kennedy (Randy) was the one who made the comment about the "some goofy ass dad is here kicking everyone out." Hayden (Kirby), principal Himbry, and others from the franchise were part of the "For Wes" when they cheered. 2. Also, on that RUclips channel, the first thumbnail clip on the side of the screen it was an Easter egg that confirmed Kirby survived from Scream 4. It was her doing an interview about being a survivor. Then below hers on the bottom, there's another clip asking if Stu Macher is still alive or not, lol. Kirby and Stu had been a HUGE debate with the fans whether or not they both survived. So they confirmed it with Kirby, but with Stu, they gave us a teaser. 3. When Chad picked up the candle stick as a weapon, it was a reference to when Sidney grabbed a candle stick in Scream 3 to defend herself with Roman. 4. Sidneys husband Mark is Detective Mark Kincaid from Scream 3. 5. Wes Hicks Kill Scene, where he closed the front door. No one told Dylan that ghostface would be behind him in that scene, so his reaction to it was legit, lol. 6. Even though Mindy said to Wes about his mom being safe but yet they got killed anyway. Two reasons: 1st is they killed the Sherrif and her son as a decoy/distraction to lure the cops away from the hospital their main target was Tara. 2nd reason they killed off Wes, who is a reference for "Wes Craven," it was their way of having a memorial for Wes Craven in the movie. He died a few years after he made the 4th, so this one was like a love letter to him 8. At the hospital, when GF appeared behind Richie, he got his arm sliced similar to when Jill got hers sliced by GF in Scream 4.
Dewey mentions Sydney's partner Mark (that would be Mark Kincaid the cop from Scream 3 played by Patrick Dempsey). The new writers wanted to shake up the franchise by killing one of the three original characters. This film was very much a love letter to Wes Craven as the directing duo of Radio Silence wanted to be filmmakers because of him and the Scream franchise. The writers/directors had more of a free reign for Scream VI because of the success of this movie. Jenna Ortega was amazing in this movie, especially in the opening scene, and does get a bit more to do in the next movie and has an actual character arc.
I'm still pissed how Radio silence had the gal to kill one of the OG 3 but they couldn't kill any of their Core 4 even if it was silly all of them surviving Scream 6

The scene with Anya, Willow, Xander and Tara in Willows dorm is absolutely heartbreaking to me. Anya : Are they gonna cut the body open? Willow Rosenberg : Oh my God! Would you just stop talking? Just... shut your mouth, please! Anya : What am I doing? Willow Rosenberg : How can you act like that? Anya : Am I supposed to be changing my clothes a lot? I mean, is that the helpful thing to do? But I also think the episodes "Surprise" and "Innocence" hit HEAVY too. "Passion" fucked me up. "Becoming P1&2" had me distraught for MONTHS. Of course "The Gift." And idk that any of us ever got over "Seeing Red".
@@AllisonM90 i don't think i have an episode i would consider "hardest to watch," Episodes like Seeing Red and Hush are some of my absolute favorites though. The Body is also a good episode. I love the emotional/dark ones. If im being honest i had forgotten about that little anya moment until you mentioned it. It's an amazing well done scene. It's been a while since i seen buffy so my memory is a little rusty. I dont remember it beginning to end like i do charmed lmfao. Edit: ima have to go back and rewatch some of the ones you mentioned.

I'm sorry, but ANY story writer and cast that can do an ENTIRE episode COMPLETELY SILENT is amazing, and I don't know that it's ever been done before or after. The high school seasons will always be my favorite. And the fact that in the ENTIRE EPISODE of The Body, there is NO SOUNDTRACK. NO MUSIC for the entire episode. It makes the beginning all that more powerful. No music to fill the void, just her silence... it feels like you are experiencing it when you watch it. I've watched it through so many times I can recite the lines with them lmao. And in "Innocence" when Buffy and Giles are in the car and this scene happens: Buffy: "This is all my fault." Giles: "I don't believe it is. Do you want me to wag my finger at you and tell you you acted rashly? You did, and I can. I know that you loved him, and he has proven more than once that he loved you. You couldn't have known what would happen. The coming months are going to be hard, I suspect on all of us, but if it's guilt you're looking for, Buffy, I'm not your man. All you will get from me is my support and my respect." It's one of the MANY moments where Giles shows the true fatherly love he has for Buffy. Far beyond a slayer and their watcher, and far beyond the love Hank EVER gave Buffy.

Its okay, Cojo, I cried too, along with the rest of the entire theater I was watching Scream 5 in. When we got to Dewey's last stand, I cried for a minute. That scene is so sad. David Arquette says he wishes he could have been in Scream 6 and had he known about the plans for it he may have had that be his last Scream movie. I think it would have been really cool to see Gale and Dewey living in NYC and then hearing about the attacks on the news and their reactions, if they had any kids, etc.
I think Amber being torched and coming back to life screaming must be a nod to "Once upon a time in Hollywood". Same actress gets the same death pretty much. She is torched by a flamethrower in that one. And yes it's sad AF to lose Dewey 😞

Love how quick Amber was locked in, my brother and I called Amber and Ritchie when their characters first met in the hospital! The way they greeted each other and the look in their eyes made us think immediately "this isn't the first time they've met, they gotta be the killers."
I was so excited to see Blake's reaction to the whole bait scene before Wes' death. I knew he would have his eyes covered all the time lol I LOVE this movie and it was the first Scream film I got to see in theaters. Back when S4 dropped I was 17 and wasn't allowed in. One major complaint most people have with it is that there are no chase scenes. Ghostface is sneaky here and always gets people surprised behind their backs. I honestly think it's a nice change. Scream 6 however has some of the BEST chase scenes in the franchise. By the way, Scream 6 has a post-credit scene! Try to remember that and not miss it. As always, another great reaction, guys! I'll be rewatching it like I've done with all the others. Always a pleasure to watch my favorite franchise with you!
Amber by far out of all the movies I least expected especially with the way she revealed it. I was so used from the past movies the killer revealing themselves by saying something or act crazy before they either shot someone or stab them, yet Amber just nonchalantly and in a very cold tone says “i know” and then proceeds to shoot Liz in the face 💀
I literally exclaimed, “Yay!” out loud when I saw that you guys uploaded this! Hahaha. I’ve just _really_ enjoyed rewatching this franchise (My favorite franchise, btw.) with you guys!! I’m especially excited for y’all’s Scream 6 reaction as I absolutely LOVED it. (To be fair, I actually love all 6 films. Scream 6 just happens to cater to most of my personal preferences and its weaknesses aren’t points that I particularly care about as much.) Though it is pretty bittersweet as once you guys have reacted to it then you’re done! (Oh well. All good things come to an end. lol.) Also, just FYI, Roger L Jackson did, in fact, do ghostface’s voice in all 6 films!

Your reactions always entertain me! The Scream franchise is the only film franchise I have seen every single film in the theaters (forgive me if I've said the same thing on previous reaction videos) - but THIS one was the first time I cried at a Scream movie. It wasn't just Dewey's death, but the following reaction from Gale that just got me so hard. And knowing their personal history and how long they both played these characters - this was such an emotional film. And of course, the vindication of Sidney handing the gun to Gale to kill Amber was so satisfying. Can''t wait for your Scream 6 reaction!
When they were filming this, David Arquette gathered the new cast members and they did a viewing of the original Scream. Apparently, he even taught them how to paint during film breaks. I love that. That look of absolute shock on Blake's face after Dewey died was absolutely the look on my face when I saw it in theaters. But add tears. I couldn't believe it when it happened. Then I read about David Arquette and Courtney Cox admitting how that final conversation between Dewey and Gale was actually really cathartic for the both of them IRL as well and how they had to do multiple takes because they got so emotional each time and it just made it sadder. (Also sad is that David Arquette revealed he had zero heads up that Dewey was going to die until he read the scene and realized that's why his previous scenes were so good. He also revealed since he's a pro wrestler, they made the fight scene more intense and there's no stunt double for him in it.) This one was another full of nostalgia when it came out. It'd been a long damn time since we'd had a new Scream movie so for the final bit to be set at Stu's house? Fantastic. (And I love the way they cut away to a new scene before Tara can give the address so we don't know.) If you ever go to a Scream movie forum and see comments by someone named Stabhead, those are actually comments by Jack Quaid who went on there and commented as if he were Richie. And he got to actually be in the Ghostface costume during the attack on Mindy! And one last fun trivia bit - Chad's character was like Dewey's in the first Scream. They were both supposed to die in the original scripts but it was changed because the characters were so well liked by the filmmakers. If I remember right, Mason Gooding got their attention because he wrote his thesis on Scream or something along those lines. Sorry, I wrote novel comments lol. I just love sharing trivia with people!
I hate that Kyle Gallagher played “Vince”, Stu Macher’s nephew in “SCREAM 5” and they didn’t flesh out his character enough. Seems too important of a character to not give him enough screen time.

It’s interesting that so many people think of Jack Quaid as a “good guy” because of The Boys but the first thing I saw him in was The Hunger Games where he was a gleeful killer. The filmmakers left bigger hints in this movie than in the previous sequels because the original Scream had so many hints to the killers. They had to keep writing fake scripts and different endings because spoilers were such a problem with the sequels. But 5 really went back to basics.
Scream 2022 has also got voice cameos by Drew Barrymore (Casey Cooper), Matthew Lillard (Stu Macher) & Jamie Kennedy (Randy) in it!! 🤯 Barrymore is (the Woodsbro High school principal) heard on the tannoy at the school when the cast are sitting on the bench. Mathew Lillard's voice is the chrome Ghostface in the Stab 8 review on youtube & finally it's Jamie Kennedy's voice as the one who says "Someone's goofy ass dad is kicking us out" at the party

I loved this sequel it’s grows on me every time I watch it. All the Easter eggs from the franchise and homage to Wes Craven. As someone who saw the original in 96/97 7 times in theaters, it lives up. You should absolutely watch Wednesday.
After Alien and Scream, what other saga do you intend to react? I recommend this one called: V/H/S, an anthology franchise in Found Footage containing 6 films, some crazier than others, if you like horror anthologies, this one is definitely worth checking out.
Okay, this movie was actually good. This movie had a lot of gruesome deaths but a lot of great acting/actors. Honestly I wasn't expecting to see Wednesday Addams and Clay Jensen in this one but they were great as Tara and Wes. It has lots of Nostalgia and it was a shock to see who the Ghostfaces were BUT I think Scream 1 will be and will always be the best-what started it all. The mask is so iconic.. And great reaction guys!
You guys should react to the scream tv show! I think that would be interesting. Also, the halloween franchise is another fun one to get into, the original timeline and the new ones from the 2018 trilogy.

@@RaggedyPack I would love to see y'all react to the Scream TV show! Especially the first 2 seasons. (The third season is a totally separate thing, and IMO not as good.) While the show is definitely not as good as the movies, I still really love it for what it is. It does many things really well, keeps a lot of the elements that make up "Scream", while also doing many new things. The general consensus from the Scream community about the show is also generally quite good. The show is definitely not perfect, but I feel a lot of the complaints people have are exaggerated or simply a bit unfair. If you go in with an open mind, and can accept the slower pacing that comes with a TV show, I am sure y'all will have an enjoyable time! There is also not many (complete) reactions to this show on RUclips, as the show is not very well known, so it would be cool to see more reactions to this show.

OH YEAHHH!! I rewatched scream 5 recently it was actually the first movie i watched in 2024 and i actually loved it way more than i did last time i rewatched. Dewey’s death is devastating but i’m content with how they went about it. I LOVED amber as ghostface she’s one of my favs and i loved the new characters! Chad and mindy were my favs! I love sam as a final girl as well. Overall i loved scream 5!
I lot of people suspected Amber was one of the killers going in since she famously played one of the Manson killers in Quentin Tarantino's Once Upon A Time In Hollywood. During filming the producers played the original movie for the cast on the indoor set of Amber's house. They all laid out on the front lawn and watched the movie together..😊

I wish we got the alternate scene for We's's death. It originally played out a lot differently, with him being chased into a Halloween 2018 emergency basement and having ghostface crash through a skylight.

Idk for me, as much as I love Dewey, I LOVE that they had the balls to kill him off. And I’m really glad they didn’t succumb to bad writing by shoehorning Sidney back to Woodsboro bc Dewey dying is truly the only way she ever returns. Can’t wait for the next one!
Oh my gosh you Guys, your almost at number 6, I’ve seen all the scream films but had never really been a fan of the franchise but they really did some original and innovative stuff in the 6th film not just for the franchise but for slasher films overall exciting stuff.
Most people still have landline phones because in the midst of a power outage they still work. During NYC's 2003 Black out, cell phones were not working but landlines were.

"Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin" on HBO Max was really good too. It's the slasher reboot of "Pretty Little Liars" and I was suprised at how good it was. It pays homage to a lot of horror classics like Halloween and the killer is pretty creepy.
You know what's crazy? Duey is such a tragic character. It's not like he survived from being skilled and beating the killer. It was off of pure luck, lets face it, he's goofy. A killer threw a knife at him and hit his forehead and he fell down the steps lol. He was stabbed numerous times. All this was from mostly high school kids and an angry mom. It was a matter of time Duey was already "done brother".
Such a fun one! Did care for the "motive" but the twists were good and the upped the gore again and I appreciated it. I was very nervous for such a large new cast presence but this new cast really did a great job!
Dewey was my favorite character and his death was devastating at the time. But looking back, i think it was the right call. We couldn't have all 3 of them survive in this one. They havent killed a legacy character since 2 and no one wanted dewey to die, which is why it had to be him. I would have picked gale or sidney over Dewey personally. It also set the tone that no one is safe and its unfortunately they took their foot of the gas in 6.

The scene with Dewey and gale really hit knowing they were married and actually divorced irl . I always wonder how hard/easy it was to film that first conversation scene and Dewey’s death scene 😢.
She has said in interviews that it was incredibly hard and heartbreaking. They are best friends and she kept hugging him after each take.
They said they actually had to take breaks filming that because it was really tough for them. Some takes got way too emotional for them. And it’s honestly the best Dewey/Gale argument of the entire franchise.
They were in the process of going through their separation while filming Scream 4. That always makes me sad to think about 😢

As much as it saddens me that Dewey was killed, it was kind of poetic for him he saved Sams little sister, where he wasn't able to save Tatum, his little sister. Also, it makes sense for Dewey to be the first legacy character to die out of the three. It gave us a chance to continue watching the Gale/Sidney arc. Dewey's death brought them together and to work as an actual team. Their relationship has grown a lot since the first Scream. Sidney/Dewey always had that brother/sister relationship, and Dewey/Gale always had that on and off again relationship. But Sidney and Gale were never close they always had Dewey has the middle person. With Dewey being gone, it gives them that chance.
For those who don't believe that Amber could kill Dewey because of being a girl and due to her size.
Dewey was doing good with hand on hand contact. Then he went back and got distracted by his phone ringing. That's the only reason Amber was able to get the upper hand cause he was off guarded. Also, don't forget Dewey has nerve damage/limp, in his 50s, is a drinker now, hasn't stayed active at all, and depression. He wasn't exactly in a good mental state at all. He knew he wouldn't be able to handle it this time around and wasn't going to, but after talking with Sidney, he changed his mind and tried to help. Also, Dewey was never lifted off the ground. Because of the discomfort of both knifes going up in his sternum and back he was following the direction of the knife so he himself was going up on to his toes and then was going down to his knees.
Also, the way ghostface was with Sam on the phone trying to make her choose between Tara and Richie, that's something Amber would do. It was her way of proving that Sam was "selfish" and didn't care about her sister.

If any of you guys haven't seen I Know What You Did Last Summer that might be a good movie for you to watch. It was one of the 90's horror movies that spawned from the success of the original Scream movie.
Kevin Williamson wrote that screenplay as well.
Each of the OG3’s first appearances in this movie is iconic!
So many people have been confused with the whole Billy storyline, thinking he's portrayed as a ghost or someone with redeeming qualities. That wasn't the case. I liked the idea that she was taking medication because she was having hallucinations of her father, and the pills started to ware off where it was working anymore. (My guess is Richie tampered with them). This was her dealing with the fact that he is her father and afraid of turning into him. But in order for her to go into survival mode, she had to accept of being his daughter and let that in instead of burying it. We were watching her dealing with her mental health and demons. They can do a lot with it in the upcoming Scream movies where she can still use that part of her to survive OR it can make her snap into becoming like her father. It's kind of like how different killers have tried to make Sidney snap mentally due to past trauma (Mickey and Roman), but she always overcame it instead (going to college doing theater, working at a women's crisis hotline, writing a book about overcoming the darkness of trauma and creating a family of her own). So they could take it in the opposite direction for Sam as the main final girl and actually make her snap mentally and become a killer herself.
Billy, as a hallucination, was also a good call back to the first Scream when he told Sidney, "It's like Jodie Foster in The Silence of the Lambs, when she keeps having flashbacks of her dead father".
I speculate that it was gonna go deeper in scream 7 (RIP). We don't know much about Sam and Tara's mother but its heavily implied she was an abusive alcoholic towards a young Sam following her husband leaving her. Thus she grew up with her mother hating her solely because she was fathered by a serial killer, and so because her only parental figure was like that her mind created another parent who was actually proud and loved her for what she was. Hence the visions of her dead dad.
Blake’s literal uncontrolled scream at the 40:30 mark shows precisely how good this film was in creating tension throughout. They were STILL able to jump scare audiences after all these decades! A fantastic addition to this fan favorite franchise. RIP Dewey the GOAT.
The name of Judy's son, WES, was a homage to the late veteran director Wes Craven; this being the first Scream movie which was not directed by him since his death in 2015.
And when they do the little "for wes" thing at the party they had a bunch of the og cast and crew say it.

😢 - The only solace I've been able to get from Dewey's death is that he died after helping Sam save her little sister. Which is poetic, in a way, because his little sister (Tatum) died in Scream 96. She could've been saved by someone, potentially. I'm sure Dewey felt guilty and partially blamed himself for her death.
This setup was his chance to prevent someone else from going through the same thing.
I'm incredibly sad that he died, but appreciated that he died saving Tara and Sam.
He died as the hero he wanted to be throughout the entire Scream franchise.

Dewey will always be one of if not our favorite character. We love that guy! He went out doing what he does best, putting others before himself and protecting them. The definition of hero.
It's unfortunate that Dewey and Gale split, we were so happy when they got married, such a power couple! The end of Scream 3 will always be one of our favorite moments from the series!

Fun Facts:
1. The Original Scream cast did voice overs Drew Barrymore (Casey Becker) was the principal on the intercom in the beginning. Also, yes Matthew Lillard (Stu) was the one in the RUclips channel doing the medal ghostface voice and at the party he's the one that said " Cool house" to Amber when she was walking through. Jamie Kennedy (Randy) was the one who made the comment about the "some goofy ass dad is here kicking everyone out." Hayden (Kirby), principal Himbry, and others from the franchise were part of the "For Wes" when they cheered.
2. Also, on that RUclips channel, the first thumbnail clip on the side of the screen it was an Easter egg that confirmed Kirby survived from Scream 4. It was her doing an interview about being a survivor. Then below hers on the bottom, there's another clip asking if Stu Macher is still alive or not, lol. Kirby and Stu had been a HUGE debate with the fans whether or not they both survived. So they confirmed it with Kirby, but with Stu, they gave us a teaser.
3. When Chad picked up the candle stick as a weapon, it was a reference to when Sidney grabbed a candle stick in Scream 3 to defend herself with Roman.
4. Sidneys husband Mark is Detective Mark Kincaid from Scream 3.
5. Wes Hicks Kill Scene, where he closed the front door. No one told Dylan that ghostface would be behind him in that scene, so his reaction to it was legit, lol.
6. Even though Mindy said to Wes about his mom being safe but yet they got killed anyway.
Two reasons: 1st is they killed the Sherrif and her son as a decoy/distraction to lure the cops away from the hospital their main target was Tara. 2nd reason they killed off Wes, who is a reference for "Wes Craven," it was their way of having a memorial for Wes Craven in the movie. He died a few years after he made the 4th, so this one was like a love letter to him
8. At the hospital, when GF appeared behind Richie, he got his arm sliced similar to when Jill got hers sliced by GF in Scream 4.
I really liked how this movie called out "Toxic Fandom" (which most definitely does exist).
Dewey mentions Sydney's partner Mark (that would be Mark Kincaid the cop from Scream 3 played by Patrick Dempsey). The new writers wanted to shake up the franchise by killing one of the three original characters. This film was very much a love letter to Wes Craven as the directing duo of Radio Silence wanted to be filmmakers because of him and the Scream franchise. The writers/directors had more of a free reign for Scream VI because of the success of this movie. Jenna Ortega was amazing in this movie, especially in the opening scene, and does get a bit more to do in the next movie and has an actual character arc.
I'm still pissed how Radio silence had the gal to kill one of the OG 3 but they couldn't kill any of their Core 4 even if it was silly all of them surviving Scream 6

The scene with Anya, Willow, Xander and Tara in Willows dorm is absolutely heartbreaking to me.

I cried just rereading that.
The episode came out RIGHT before my Grandma was diagnosed with cancer and passed 6 mos later.
But I also think the episodes "Surprise" and "Innocence" hit HEAVY too.
"Passion" fucked me up. "Becoming P1&2" had me distraught for MONTHS.
Of course "The Gift." And idk that any of us ever got over "Seeing Red".

Episodes like Seeing Red and Hush are some of my absolute favorites though. The Body is also a good episode. I love the emotional/dark ones. If im being honest i had forgotten about that little anya moment until you mentioned it. It's an amazing well done scene.
It's been a while since i seen buffy so my memory is a little rusty. I dont remember it beginning to end like i do charmed lmfao.

I'm sorry, but ANY story writer and cast that can do an ENTIRE episode COMPLETELY SILENT is amazing, and I don't know that it's ever been done before or after. The high school seasons will always be my favorite. And the fact that in the ENTIRE EPISODE of The Body, there is NO SOUNDTRACK. NO MUSIC for the entire episode. It makes the beginning all that more powerful. No music to fill the void, just her silence... it feels like you are experiencing it when you watch it.
I've watched it through so many times I can recite the lines with them lmao.
And in "Innocence" when Buffy and Giles are in the car and this scene happens:
Buffy: "This is all my fault."
Giles: "I don't believe it is. Do you want me to wag my finger at you and tell you you acted rashly? You did, and I can. I know that you loved him, and he has proven more than once that he loved you. You couldn't have known what would happen. The coming months are going to be hard, I suspect on all of us, but if it's guilt you're looking for, Buffy, I'm not your man. All you will get from me is my support and my respect."
It's one of the MANY moments where Giles shows the true fatherly love he has for Buffy. Far beyond a slayer and their watcher, and far beyond the love Hank EVER gave Buffy.

Its okay, Cojo, I cried too, along with the rest of the entire theater I was watching Scream 5 in. When we got to Dewey's last stand, I cried for a minute. That scene is so sad. David Arquette says he wishes he could have been in Scream 6 and had he known about the plans for it he may have had that be his last Scream movie. I think it would have been really cool to see Gale and Dewey living in NYC and then hearing about the attacks on the news and their reactions, if they had any kids, etc.
Be prepared for 6, guys. One of the most brutal death in the whole franchise is about to come. Can't wait!
I think Amber being torched and coming back to life screaming must be a nod to "Once upon a time in Hollywood". Same actress gets the same death pretty much. She is torched by a flamethrower in that one. And yes it's sad AF to lose Dewey 😞

I LOVE this movie and it was the first Scream film I got to see in theaters. Back when S4 dropped I was 17 and wasn't allowed in.
One major complaint most people have with it is that there are no chase scenes. Ghostface is sneaky here and always gets people surprised behind their backs. I honestly think it's a nice change. Scream 6 however has some of the BEST chase scenes in the franchise. By the way, Scream 6 has a post-credit scene! Try to remember that and not miss it. As always, another great reaction, guys! I'll be rewatching it like I've done with all the others. Always a pleasure to watch my favorite franchise with you!
Amber by far out of all the movies I least expected especially with the way she revealed it. I was so used from the past movies the killer revealing themselves by saying something or act crazy before they either shot someone or stab them, yet Amber just nonchalantly and in a very cold tone says “i know” and then proceeds to shoot Liz in the face 💀
That’s when she became my favorite Ghostface

I’m especially excited for y’all’s Scream 6 reaction as I absolutely LOVED it. (To be fair, I actually love all 6 films. Your reactions always entertain me! The Scream franchise is the only film franchise I have seen every single film in the theaters (forgive me if I've said the same thing on previous reaction videos) - but THIS one was the first time I cried at a Scream movie. It wasn't just Dewey's death, but the following reaction from Gale that just got me so hard. And knowing their personal history and how long they both played these characters - this was such an emotional film. And of course, the vindication of Sidney handing the gun to Gale to kill Amber was so satisfying. Can''t wait for your Scream 6 reaction!
When they were filming this, David Arquette gathered the new cast members and they did a viewing of the original Scream. Apparently, he even taught them how to paint during film breaks. I love that.
That look of absolute shock on Blake's face after Dewey died was absolutely the look on my face when I saw it in theaters. But add tears. I couldn't believe it when it happened. Then I read about David Arquette and Courtney Cox admitting how that final conversation between Dewey and Gale was actually really cathartic for the both of them IRL as well and how they had to do multiple takes because they got so emotional each time and it just made it sadder. (Also sad is that David Arquette revealed he had zero heads up that Dewey was going to die until he read the scene and realized that's why his previous scenes were so good. He also revealed since he's a pro wrestler, they made the fight scene more intense and there's no stunt double for him in it.)
This one was another full of nostalgia when it came out. It'd been a long damn time since we'd had a new Scream movie so for the final bit to be set at Stu's house? Fantastic. (And I love the way they cut away to a new scene before Tara can give the address so we don't know.)
If you ever go to a Scream movie forum and see comments by someone named Stabhead, those are actually comments by Jack Quaid who went on there and commented as if he were Richie. And he got to actually be in the Ghostface costume during the attack on Mindy! And one last fun trivia bit - Chad's character was like Dewey's in the first Scream. They were both supposed to die in the original scripts but it was changed because the characters were so well liked by the filmmakers. If I remember right, Mason Gooding got their attention because he wrote his thesis on Scream or something along those lines. Sorry, I wrote novel comments lol. I just love sharing trivia with people!

I hate that Kyle Gallagher played “Vince”, Stu Macher’s nephew in “SCREAM 5” and they didn’t flesh out his character enough. Seems too important of a character to not give him enough screen time.

I don't know if you guys noticed but when Richie is watching RUclips videos about the Stab movies, one of the thumbnails to the side said "Interview for Woodsbrow survivor Kirby Reed". So Kirby from the 4th movie is still alive!
It’s interesting that so many people think of Jack Quaid as a “good guy” because of The Boys but the first thing I saw him in was The Hunger Games where he was a gleeful killer. The filmmakers left bigger hints in this movie than in the previous sequels because the original Scream had so many hints to the killers. They had to keep writing fake scripts and different endings because spoilers were such a problem with the sequels. But 5 really went back to basics.
I've seen Hunger Games multiple times and I would have never known Jack Quaid was in it if you didn't say it.
Scream 2022 has also got voice cameos by Drew Barrymore (Casey Cooper), Matthew Lillard (Stu Macher) & Jamie Kennedy (Randy) in it!! 🤯
Barrymore is (the Woodsbro High school principal) heard on the tannoy at the school when the cast are sitting on the bench.

I loved this sequel it’s grows on me every time I watch it. All the Easter eggs from the franchise and homage to Wes Craven. As someone who saw the original in 96/97 7 times in theaters, it lives up. You should absolutely watch Wednesday.

After Alien and Scream, what other saga do you intend to react? I recommend this one called: V/H/S, an anthology franchise in Found Footage containing 6 films, some crazier than others, if you like horror anthologies, this one is definitely worth checking out.
The Paranormal Activity franchise would send Blake into therapy. So would the TV series Haunting of Hill House.
Okay, this movie was actually good. This movie had a lot of gruesome deaths but a lot of great acting/actors. Honestly I wasn't expecting to see Wednesday Addams and Clay Jensen in this one but they were great as Tara and Wes. It has lots of Nostalgia and it was a shock to see who the Ghostfaces were BUT I think Scream 1 will be and will always be the best-what started it all. The mask is so iconic.. And great reaction guys!
You guys should react to the scream tv show! I think that would be interesting. Also, the halloween franchise is another fun one to get into, the original timeline and the new ones from the 2018 trilogy.

While the show is definitely not as good as the movies, I still really love it for what it is. It does many things really well, keeps a lot of the elements that make up "Scream", while also doing many new things. The general consensus from the Scream community about the show is also generally quite good. The show is definitely not perfect, but I feel a lot of the complaints people have are exaggerated or simply a bit unfair. If you go in with an open mind, and can accept the slower pacing that comes with a TV show, I am sure y'all will have an enjoyable time!
There is also not many (complete) reactions to this show on RUclips, as the show is not very well known, so it would be cool to see more reactions to this show.

Courtney and David divorced in real life in 2013 so appropriate Gayle and Dewey are too. So sad Dewey died but he used his 9 lives.
The franchise will never be the same after Melissa Barrera got fired from the films after she made comments about the Palestinie/Hamas War.

OH YEAHHH!! I rewatched scream 5 recently it was actually the first movie i watched in 2024 and i actually loved it way more than i did last time i rewatched. Dewey’s death is devastating but i’m content with how they went about it. I LOVED amber as ghostface she’s one of my favs and i loved the new characters! Chad and mindy were my favs! I love sam as a final girl as well. Overall i loved scream 5!

The trailer for the Scream V & VI director’s new movie Abigail was released 2 days ago and it also stars Melissa Barrera (Sam).
I lot of people suspected Amber was one of the killers going in since she famously played one of the Manson killers in Quentin Tarantino's Once Upon A Time In Hollywood. During filming the producers played the original movie for the cast on the indoor set of Amber's house. They all laid out on the front lawn and watched the movie together..😊

Idk for me, as much as I love Dewey, I LOVE that they had the balls to kill him off. And I’m really glad they didn’t succumb to bad writing by shoehorning Sidney back to Woodsboro bc Dewey dying is truly the only way she ever returns.

Oh my gosh you Guys, your almost at number 6, I’ve seen all the scream films but had never really been a fan of the franchise but they really did some original and innovative stuff in the 6th film not just for the franchise but for slasher films overall exciting stuff.

"Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin" on HBO Max was really good too. It's the slasher reboot of "Pretty Little Liars" and I was suprised at how good it was. It pays homage to a lot of horror classics like Halloween and the killer is pretty creepy.
Dewey's death was written in cause it would be the ONLY way Sidney would come back.
You know what's crazy? Duey is such a tragic character. It's not like he survived from being skilled and beating the killer. It was off of pure luck, lets face it, he's goofy. A killer threw a knife at him and hit his forehead and he fell down the steps lol. He was stabbed numerous times. All this was from mostly high school kids and an angry mom. It was a matter of time Duey was already "done brother".
Such a fun one! Did care for the "motive" but the twists were good and the upped the gore again and I appreciated it. I was very nervous for such a large new cast presence but this new cast really did a great job!

Dewey was my favorite character and his death was devastating at the time. But looking back, i think it was the right call. We couldn't have all 3 of them survive in this one. They havent killed a legacy character since 2 and no one wanted dewey to die, which is why it had to be him. I would have picked gale or sidney over Dewey personally.
It also set the tone that no one is safe and its unfortunately they took their foot of the gas in 6.
