When completeing a piece, at the end you chain one, then cut the yarn and pull the remaing thread through the chain to secure the yarn

I have a question ! Does anyone know how I can fix having gapping on that very very first rirst row of single crochets that you make around min. 2:10 or something? Because whenever I make bra cups for tops and/or in something like this video, when I did that 2nd row (the half double crochet row) it immediately started making these holes and stretching out that first row :( It always spooks me
I also am confused because somehow, hers doesn't do that
Stretching out the sc? Or the hdc on top of the first row? Trying to figure out what you mean to assist lol.. but i honestly dont think it matters towards the end since you have to seem it together to the back piece, which kinda covers the first rows a bit when seamed together.. if that makes sense
