What I find so interesting is why so many people who identify themselves as LGBT seem to NEED the appoval of other people. To me it's a sign that deep down in their heart of hearts they know they are living in sin.
Because when you truly believe what you are doing/believing is morally right, you don't care what others think. I am a Christian and I love Jesus and a LOT of people dont approve or agree with my beliefs, but I don't care. Because I know it's right. I don't need the approval of others. I don't cut off relationships with my family members just because they disagree with me and my beliefs.
So why is it that so many LGBT people can't seem to do that? That even when someone says, look I love you, but I don't agree with you they become so angry and will cut others off?
If you truly know and believe what you are doing is right, you don't need validation from others. Only those doing something they know is wrong have almost a desperate need for their choices to be affirmed and validated. Because humans are always looking for ways to justify our sins.

Actually they just want to be able to safely and openly be themselves.
You have to remember that for the better part of 2000 years folks like you used to lynch LGBT people and even in the past decade people like you have attempted to diminish LGBT freedoms over religious beliefs.
      Not you specifically.

Some people do think love means approval or affirmation, even if they don't say it. But that's not the only mix up I see happening. Some think being kind is to be nice. They're very different. Nice requires you to be pleasant or agreeable. Basically, it's the surface. Being kind goes deeper. It requires that you care.

      A word of encouragement....
You may not have lost her. Rather, your talk may have been the first step on a journey of her coming back to the truth. Sometimes the pathway is not direct. It may take a long time and she may walk through many dark paths before coming back.... but your talk and the power of God's word may be the thing that started her on the path. I think of the Prodigal Son in times like these. No doubt there were many times when someone called out his wayward lifestyle, but he wasn't ready to listen yet. To the guy who asked this question:
I went through the exact same situation with my sister a few years ago. She is a practicing homosexual, living with her partner in another state. She'd constantly bring up how wonderful everything in their relationship is and future plans their making. I'm married with a daughter and she would ask if I would put her on a plane for her to spend some time together over the summer. It got to a point where I could no longer keep silent.
I started the conversation saying that I need to talk to her and expressed endlessly how much I love and value her. Once that was out of the way, I told her the truth, which is: I don't agree, because God doesn't agree. It was a hard, tearful conversation but one that definitely needed to be had. Delivery is key but if your sister loves you even close as much as you love her, she'll accept it even if she doesn't agree and continue to love you too, even if it may be from a distance for a while. Feeling the tension in my relationship with God bc my silence and the tension bw essentially lying to my sister, watching her walk her way to hell was too much.
Praying you find the grace to speak the truth in love and for both of your hearts to give and receive said truth❤

I have a very similar thing going on and I grew up in a broken home. And now that my sister live together for the first time after ten years, it’s sad to realize that we don’t connect deeply anymore. And it’s because of God. And it is worth it to not bend my convictions and my personality that has changed bcuz of God, just to make her feel comfortable. If we confront every family member when we see them about their spiritual delinquencies we would alienate them and the enemy would secure his hold on them even tighter. Jesus did not stop at everyone He met to tell them the truth about their condition. This is the problem with standard Christianity (and btw, I'm a pastor of 41 years), they, without an opening, tell everyone around them about their failings and when rejected they claim that they're suffering for the message of the cross. Before Jesus ever spoke one word to the lost, He proved that He loved them unconditionally, no matter what their condition. THEN, as love broke the door down and the Holy Spirit created an opening, you talk to them about their condition and situation.

For example, if I heard my brother in Christ talk about his secret extramarital affair and I said nothing but just "lived by example" not cheating on my wife.... well.... This same scenario happened in my family with my cousin. Sadly, at the time, I was more concerned about preserving the relationship than honoring God. Outwardly, I spoke as if I was in support, not wanting her to feel like another person was judging her, but inwardly I knew what God had said in His word. When I came to my senses about my hypocrisy (meaning not speaking and acting in accordance with what I believed), I acknowledged my mistake and sought forgiveness. Unfortunately, the relationship with my cousin is lost and my punishment is just. I share this because standing firm on the word of God when it means standing in opposition of someone you love is very difficult. But, you are never wrong for obeying God. Honesty is love. Supporting acts that separate a person from God is about a self preservation, not wanting others to be angry with us. Remember:

I've told him he's making a mistake, and so now, we basically have no relationship, as he is taking the perspective that if I can't accept his life choices, he won't have a relationship with me. If I want to talk to him, I have to use his girl's name or he gets upset and refuses to be in the same room with me. I have a choice- pretend he IS a girl, even though I don't believe it- or hold to my beliefs and hope that he will become the prodigal son and return to sanity. Very difficult time for me. My son got out of the homosexual lifestyle. This is what he says:
I was once a gay man and found Jesus again and left that lifestyle behind. After reading the Bible and having my heart and mind reshaped by God it’s easy to see how even when I was a child in the 90s that these types of indoctrination was present back then. My mother never gave into the “accept your gay child” pressures from everyone around her, and 17 years later I freed myself from homosexuality. God has provided a miracle for my family and because of my mother’s strong and incredible faith. I listened to the ways of the world, but I have been freed from their lies. I used to hate her for not accepting me, but now I see that it’s because of her faith that I am alive today. If you are a parent with a child going through something similar don’t give up your faith for your child. Teach them the ways of Jesus and his promises. After reconnecting and becoming so close with my best friend, aka my mother, again we constantly discuss our perspectives with her over these past 17 years. We see the lies of Satan and the world in plain view. If you are a parent trust and build your faith in Jesus, read his promises and know that if you teach your children when they are young they will return to the Lord when they are older. My testimony speaks to this, my mother’s testimony speaks to this as well. Cling to your faith with all your heart, and pray! I have recently found out after leaving this lifestyle behind how many people have been praying for me all these years. My mothers faith did this, and now I am the prodigal son that had returned home and we now are standing strong in the steadfast love of Jesus, fighting these lies of the World and the lies of Satan! He is the deceiver and will always kill, steal and destroy anyone who chooses to listen to his lies! God didn’t bore you into this type of lifestyle that’s a lie. He made us in his image, he clearly discusses that sexual immorality, homosexuality is a sin, so if we are made in his image then that would prove that you were not bore this way, because God is holy and is without sin!
I know most will say I’m lying to myself about who I truly am, my sister told me this after making a choice to walk away from the gay lifestyle. All I know is since I was baptized on 10/25/95 I have always loved Jesus, but had struggled with this desire, he gave me free will and allowed me to choose and I chose a life that almost killed me, on multiple occasions. But the Holy Spirit never left me even while living in sin, he has protected me from hypoglycemic seizures, and valley fever. I could have easily died on multiple occasions but I am still here. There must be a reasons and I believe it is for my mother and I to tell our story. Many have said my testimony should be a book, but I see it’s more my mother’s story, I am just the proof at the end of the day. Her story is about heartbreak, anger, disappointment, love and mostly faith. She was steadfast in Jesus for so many years, never giving up, never listening to everyone around her. Imagine what strength that requires, and mostly imagine where all that strength that comes from… Jesus! She is my mother, my best friend, and is truly inspirational! She has shown me that faith in our Lord Jesus Christ must be our one true desire and priority! Once you change your perspective on your priorities, he will handle the rest! Because of her, it has shown me how to fix my life, how to escape the clutches of Satan. I say this after making these choices not because of her, but for myself, but now looking back it has been a confirmation reflecting on my choices that choosing Jesus is always the right decision. So if you are someone struggling with same sex attraction or you’re a parent or someone with this issue, read your Bible! Trust in Jesus! Never lose faith! Give thanks and most importantly pray! 🥰♥️

To your point about being obnoxious. Yes, I suppose that would be a great concern for a self-righteous person, but my guess is a true Christian will think long and hard about the best manner and method for approaching a person caught in sin. Too, we must recall that a person often sees offense where none is intended. Rather than deal with their sin, they often deflect by saying we aren't respecting/loving them because we're not approving their actions. It's a classic method of criminals: blame "the system" for not being perfect when they commit a crime rather than own up to their misdeed.
I like the approach Dr. Turek suggests in this video: ask their permission to tell them about the issue first. A person who genuinely seeks truth will welcome constructive feedback from those around them. So give them God's truth in love. We may not convey everything 100% perfectly, but I'd rather make the attempt, however clumsy to get the message through and repent of my clumsiness rather than some day have that person ask, "Why didn't you ever try to tell me how wrong this was?" and bear the guilt of my cowardice which causes them to suffer. To make a poor analogy, I'd rather tackle a person off the train tracks and break a few of their ribs in the process instead of sitting idly by and watch the train hit them just because I don't have any way to "soften" the blow.

@knotsew5490 - Hi there. Thank you for responding. I do not find the argument that something is "acceptable" because it is found in nature, persuasive. Human morals/behavior cannot be judged based on what happens in nature or the animal kingdom. Animals are not people. People were created in the image of God. Animals were not. We are expected by God to behave in ways in keeping with God's ways, values, morals. God gave the 10 commandments to show His righteousness and holiness to all of mankind. Because man falls short of God's standard of holiness/righteousness as found in the 10 commandments, we are declared guilty before God and rightly deserve His wrath and condemnation that will be poured out against all skin and ungodliness. The penalty for not keeping God's standard of holiness, is an eternity in hell separated from the love of God, the mercy of God, and the grace of God. What a person will face is the complete Justice of God. You will not receive more than you deserve but you will not receive less than you deserve either. All human beings have fallen short of the glory of God and are objects of wrath. Because God is full of Love and Righteousness and He does not want anybody to perish apart from him redemption, he sent His Son, Jesus Christ, as the substitute/sin bearer to live a fully righteous life (He lived up to all of God's standard of Holiness, the 10 commandments), and when he died on the cross, God placed on him the sins of the world and Jesus paid the penalty for that sin in Hell, so nobody who believes in Him will perish. After all our sins were paid for, God the Father saw Jesus (the sinless soul that He was) and raised him from the dead per Leviticus 18:5 - keep my statutes and my judgments, by which a man may live if he does them; I am the LORD.
Jesus is our Righteous Redeemer and when we confess with our mouth Jesus is Lord and believe in our heart God raised him from the dead, we will be saved. I pray you hear the truth because I am not trying to scare you, malign you, or hurt you. I am trying to warn you about the future after you die.
It is appointed once for man to die and after that the judgment. God is keeping a record of everything every single person does, good and bad, and if you die without Jesus Christ, you will face judgment at the Great White Throne Judgment and all the books recorded for your life on earth will be opened along with the Book of Life, and if your name is not found in the Book of Life, you will pay for all your own sins for eternity in the Lake of Fire, where there is no escape. I trying to warn you.
God is good, just, and loving and He has made a way of salvation for every single person on this planet through all the ages because he does not want anybody to perish, but He allows each person to have free choice to accept God and His ways or reject Him. If you reject God's way of salvation, you will bear your own penalty for sin and God is Just. You will reap what you have sown on earth.
I do not want you to die without Christ. That is why I am telling you the Gospel message, so you can hear the message and seek the truth.
      Amen

    • @thewordistruth399
      @thewordistruth399 11 месяцев назад

@knotsew5490 - There are many things written in Scripture that God said that I do not understand and I do not always like myself. I was reading in Job this morning and it is hard to read that God allowed Satan to incite harm against Job and God knew it and allowed it. It is hard for me to understand such things, but I am not God. He is not me. His ways are higher than my ways. I believe He knows something I do not know, and if I understood everything with His wisdom, I would do the same things, so ultimately, I believe God as God has the right to decide what happens and how it happens and he gets to tell people how to live, what to do, and yes, even to the point that if there are slaves how they are to be treated. I do not understand everything, but I believe God does not have to justify himself to me, and He does not have to adjust Himself to me. I must adjust myself to Him.
Your wants of not believing in Christ are your wants and you are given free choice to exercise those, and you may live apart from Jesus, but there is a Judgment Day, and every single human being will face it. Every person will see God face-to-face, and it would be better to face a loving Father than just a Just Judge.
Your suggestion that two adults in a loving relationship does not harm themselves or others is not a proveable statement because human beings hurt each other all the time without realizing it, intending it, or even knowing it. When a person manifests a "hurt" that second is not when he was hurt. That is only when he feels it. He was hurt before that, but never even knew it. That type of stuff happens all the time. Cancer is like that. Disease is like that. Drugs are often like that. Sexually transmitted diseases are like that. The injury happens but there is a delayed reaction before the consequence is felt. I agree a person can engage in a homosexual relationship on earth for decades and everything "appears" ok, but God through His Holy Word, has said the problem will manifest after that person dies, and every single person living will die. It is unavoidable. That is what I am trying to point out.
We will not escape the Judgment of God.
I wish you all the best and thank you for responding

Those who walk by the Spirit will not gratify the desires of the flesh. He didn't care. Long before he finally came out, he fully committed to it. That's the thing with ANY sin. If you keep it in and don't talk to anybody, the longer it stays a secret, the deeper the hold it gets on you.

You making an assertion about God and Christianity being a cult doesn’t make it so. There is much more evidence that “a” God exists than does not.
For example, why something exists rather than nothing, the origin of the universe, the fine-tuning of the universe, the origin of life, the existence of objective moral values and duties, the evidence for the resurrection of Jesus from the dead, etc. are all strong evidence of a designer of the universe, AKA, God.

When you truly love someone, you are not content to let them live in error. 1 John 4:18 "There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love." A person that truly loves their family or friends is willing to face the fear of losing them so they can know the truth. If they're not willing to do so, they are allowing selfish fear to control them. I know that my parents love me because they never hesitated to discipline me and teach me right or wrong when I was a child, which caused me to love them the more as I became a man.

We have no way to contact him except by email and we are not even sure that this email address is valid because he never responds to us He lives in another country and we pray for him daily to come back to faith in the Lord and back to us. I also have a precious niece whose daughter is in a gay relationship and she won't talk to her mom due to her mom not embracing her homosexuality. Unfortunately, those in this lifestyle are taught in the gay culture to cut people out of their life who don't agree/embrace their homosexuality. They claim to be tolerant but are only tolerant towards those who agree with them. The young man in this video must choose to please God before his sister (which means not embracing homosexuality as being good, pure and lovely) but let his sister know that in spite of differing views he still wants to have a loving relationship with her. He then will have to let the chips fall where they may. Hopefully, his sister is more mature and tolerant than the other two I mentioned.

We have this very situation in our family my only granddaughter 😢 I’ve told her mum & brothers almost the same as Frank but it’s difficult for them, just like the lad speaking to Frank. She knew Jesus but I don’t know if she ever made Him Lord 😭 sadly she won’t have anything to do with me. One grandson thinks it’s shame. Though I still send txt msgs of “truth in love” to her.

A clear demonstration of how immoral this religion is. Not only is Frank advocating splitting up a loving relationship between two people of the same sex but God's directives could mean the destruction of the bond between a brother and sister. Any God that insists on this blind obedience is not worthy of respect.

I am in a situation with similar difficulties. One of my close Christian friends has a son who decided to transition to a female. She now calls him by his girl name and refers to him as her/she and accepts everything he's doing, while saying she doesn't agree with it. I've told her what I thought, like Frank's response here, but it has had no affect. Now, her son is coming to volunteer with us and I am expected to do the same she does. Not sure what to do. He's not a relation to me, or even a friend. I don't want to cause a fuss in this volunteer situation... it's a rough one. 😞 Anyone have guidance? Maybe a similar situation?
