I have a Proform City T7 Treadmill running Android 7.0. Out of the box, you have the ability to pull down the settings menu from the top of the screen and see the Triangle, Circle, and Square from the bottom of the screen. Unfortunately, you are not in privileged mode yet. The T³ technique does not work on the main iFit screen as shown in the video. With my version, I had to go into the Menu section of iFit, select Settings, then Maintenance. Once you are in that screen, do the T³ technique and you are able to set your privileged mode to TRUE. :) Now I can follow the rest of the instructions. Thanks, Nelson, for these hacks!
Thank you Nelson for all of your videos! I just got the xx2i and when I follow all of your steps Netflix comes up as “not supported by this tablet”. There may have been an update but how can I get around it?
Hi Leslie, that's to be expected. The newer treadmills come with a newer version of Android. Because of this, the Netflix version on the website won't work. ----- I have a new video coming out for 2021 and the newer machines. Here are the steps in advance. ----- Note: if your machine comes with the newer Android 9 version, follow these steps. To get Netflix installed, the steps to download are different, otherwise the steps in the video will be the same. I will be uploading a new video outlining the new steps for 2021 and Android 9. ----- If during the install you receive this error: "This device is not supported by the app," then you need to follow these steps. ----- Uninstall the Netflix app you just installed. Then instead of going directly to Netflix, you will be going to the APK Pure web site and searching for Netflix. You will find several variants of the apk file. Make certain to choose the one with the BIG RED letter N on a black background. Once you click on the icon, it should take you to a different screen that has a big green "Download APK button." Click on that and make certain you have downloaded an apk file, not the xapk file. From there you will follow the same instructions to install Netflix. Please come back and let us know how it worked.

Hi BK, yes, you can configure a screen saver. Go into privileged mode and under your display options there is a sleep option. You can set that to turn off your display. It doesn't shut your machine off but protects your display by turning it off just in case you forget to turn off your machine. *NOTE : Once sleep mode is enabled the only way to turn your machine back on is to power cycle.* Sleep mode is for households where someone is always leaving the machine on. Lol I use it because my wife or I may forget to power off the machine and this way we are certain the screen will turn off.
Question and a Comment: Two more days before my tread arrives! Question: do we have any information on whether this "jailbreak" voids any of the warranties or anything? My comment is as an IT professional, as much as I appreciated this vid for info purposes and deciding if I want to risk it, I don't think it's quite fair to say, "iFit gets buggy when there are multiple apps running due to the processor..." or however you phrased it :-) given that we aren't supposed to be doing this in the first place, lol. Instead, I think you should tell folks to expect more lag as the processor "was NOT designed" for multiple apps to be running at the same time...
Hi Torri, well said. You are correct. The scaled-down version of Android and the generic hardware do a good job supporting iFIT, but are not made to multiprocess. Hi KVN08, in order to access privileged mode and rid yourself of the privileged mode code popup, you need to configure your machine so you can bypass all of the lockdowns the iFit patches have installed. Not to worry. The majority of the machines come with Unknown Sources set to enabled so that should not be a problem. ----- Also, once in privileged mode, when you go to install an application, if it errors out saying you need to enable unknown sources, it will give you the option to enable it. NOTE: From Privileged Mode Settings, you can search for Unknown Sources from the top right. That may get you to the Unknown Sources option. Hi Jacq, since the ProForm Pro 9000 supports the iFIT app, that means it runs on an Android Operating System (OS). That being said, the answer is YES, you can install Netflix and Amazon Prime Video on a ProForm Pro 9000.

Please let me know if this works for you. ----- Q: My browser says permissions denied? - I figured it out I had to go into WiFi settings and allow browser to use WiFi. ----- I keep getting a “permission denied” when trying to go on the web. Hmmm, can you go into settings and look at the Security options to see if there is anything there that may be causing the issue._ - I had to do a step that allowed unknown apps to be installed and accept a disclaimer. Hi Erin, YES, this will work for all NordicTrack models that support iFIT. The models that support iFIT have an Android tablet display that is used for iFIT workout videos and for any of the screen navigation. You may have a little trouble getting into privileged mode as the latest iFIT updates have locked down the Privileged Mode, which is our access to the Android Desktop, where we can install additional apps. I have a new x22i with android version 9 too. I went to apk pure - Netflix (the app with the large red N and black background) the only option I see to download is “Download XAPK “. No option for just apk.

I have a s22i bike and the netflix website says update required Looks like your browser, opening system, or device is not supported ... ect" I downloaded the latest and oldest version availabile on apkpure. Both said the same error you had on your part 2. Help please 😭
I will be making another updated video soon, but for now i would go to an APK website and download a Netflix apk file that is newer than the older version. Keep trying until one version works. If I have any new info I will make certain to put out some new info.
Hello! Do you have issues where when you’re in other “apps” but when you try to come back to ifit, the ifit screen and video is frozen still? Any known fixes?
Hi Aspra, unfortunately NordicTrack does not optimize their machines so that we can install other apps. That being the case, Yes, I have seen where iFit> does not come back on when you switch from another app. As for freezing? I have heard several subscribers comment on iFit freezing or closing. When your iFit> app freezes, how do you unfreeze it? Are you forced to power cycle your machine? Do you have a treadmill or bike or a different machine? What model? How old is it? I may be able to answer better if I have more specifics
Nelson Munoz I have the X32i treadmill. When I’m streaming in other apps and want to come back to check in how much time I had left on a workout, ifit freezes still but audio would still be on. I normally would just ignore it and go back to my streaming app and just complete the workout in its. entirety. Just curious if there was a fix and/or other ppl experiencing the same freeze out.
Aspra, you stated when you switch back to iFit> the audio continues? Are you playing an iFit video workout that has an iFit> trainer? I would recommended if you are going to switch from iFit> to another app, I would choose the manual iFit> workout. This way you aren't taxing the treadmill's resources.

Anyone else notice a thin vertical green line on the right edge of the screen when playing a video on Netflix? I installed the apk file from the Netflix Help section and am running Android v.7.1.2. There are other forums that mention this issue occurring on standard Android devices since last year. However, there seems to be no fix.
Hi Lorre, that is normal for some apps. Hi Pete. My X22i is a 2016 model that I purchased in 2018. The older models have several features that for some reason, NordicTrack decided to remove from their current models? My X22i Incline Trainer has a USB port, an HDMI port, and an option. called live wallpaper, which allows me to change my wallpaper (just for the privileged mode Android desktop). My guess is they took away the feature because they did not anticipate many NordicTrack owners would be hacking their treadmills/bikes accessing the administrative desktop.

Hi Sylvain, sorry about that. I figured it was best to "set the table" first so that when you run thru the steps you will have a better understanding of what it is you are doing. When I make the videos I have to take everyone into consideration and there are a lot of viewers/subscribers that would rather have too much info, rather than jumping straight to the answer. -- What I can do for the future is actually just say at the beginning of the video, "If you want to jump straight to the steps, you can bypass..." Appreciate the honest feedback. it will help me for future videos.
Spoke to soon... I downloaded Netflix app ... home screen will show movies and TV shows , but everything I click on to watch.... It keeps saying web page not available? Any idea why this is happening?

Unable to access privilege mode
Hi KVN08, in order to access privileged mode and rid yourself of the privileged mode code popup, you need to configure your machine so you can bypass all of the lockdowns the iFit patches have installed. Send me an email to DoctorNT0714@gmail.com and in the subject write, "PM-Code-Help." I will be certain to respond with an easy way to rid yourself of the dreaded privileged mode code forever.

Hi A Z, since this video was posted, NordicTrack/iFit has pushed several updates essentially locking us out of privileged mode. There are ways around this code. Send me an email to DoctorNT0714@gmail.com and in the Subject line write: "X11-Code-Help" and I will find your email and reply with several suggestions on how to regain back control of your treadmill.

----- As for not having an *Unknown Sources* tab on your S22i. Not to worry. The majority of the machines come with Unknown Sources set to enabled so that should not be a problem.
----- Also, once in privileged mode, when you go to install an application, if it errors out saying you need to enable unknown sources, it will give you the option to enable it.
NOTE: From Privileged Mode Settings, you can search for Unknown Sources from the top right. That may get you to the Unknown Sources option.

Hi Jacq, since the ProForm Pro 9000 supports the iFIT app, that means it runs on an Android Operating System (OS). That being said, the answer is YES, you can install Netflix and Amazon Prime Video on a ProForm Pro 9000.

Awesome! I forgot about that step! I am certain it is in one of my videos, but I should probably make it a point to state as such from here on in. As a matter of fact I will most likely post another video talking about this as it is important and I should not assume it is set to allow unknown sources. Thank you for an excellent comment/question and for reminding me about something I had forgotten.

Gus, I was just reminded by someone's comment about a security feature that must be configured in order for you to get permission to install certain apps. If you go to one of my videos called "NordicTrack X22i/X32i Security Flaw?" here is a link to go there... ruclips.net/video/w_y0aTggdv0/видео.html ... if you watch the video and pause it at the 55 second mark I will be in the Security section. If you look towards the bottom of the screen you will see Unknown sources. Click on that and make certain you choose, Allow installation of apps from unknown sources. Once you configure that setting you should be good to go.

Hi Erin, YES, this will work for all NordicTrack models that support iFIT. The models that support iFIT have an Android tablet display that is used for iFIT workout videos and for any of the screen navigation. You may have a little trouble getting into privileged mode as the latest iFIT updates have locked down the Privileged Mode, which is our access to the Android Desktop, where we can install additional apps. Yes, even the Commercial 2450 will support installing Netflix and other apps as long as you can access Privileged Mode. See my other comments for additional info.

Hi The Headman. This is a known issue with newer treadmills. If you are still looking for directions, here are the steps needed to install Netflix on a newer treadmill.

Note: if your machine comes with the newer Android 9 version, follow these steps. To get Netflix installed, the steps to download are different, after downloading the apk file, the steps in the video will be the same. I will be uploading a new video outlining the new steps for 2021 and Android 9.

If during the install you receive this error: "This device is not supported by the app," then you need to follow these steps.

Uninstall the Netflix app you just installed. Then instead of going directly to Netflix, you will be going to the APK Pure web site and searching for Netflix. You will find several variants of the apk file. Make certain to choose the one with the BIG RED letter N on a black background. Once you click on the icon, it should take you to a different screen that has a big green "Download APK button." Click on that and make certain you have downloaded an apk file, not the xapk file. From there you will follow the same instructions to install Netflix. Please come back and let us know how it worked.
I have a new x22i with android version 9 too. I went to apk pure - Netflix (the app with the large red N and black background) the only option I see to download is “Download XAPK “. No option for just apk.

I downloaded the latest and oldest version availabile on apkpure. Both said the same error you had on your part 2.

I will be making another updated video soon, but for now i would go to an APK website and download a Netflix apk file that is newer than the older version. Keep trying until one version works. If I have any new info I will make certain to put out some new info.
Hello! Do you have issues where when you’re in other “apps” but when you try to come back to ifit, the ifit screen and video is frozen still? Any known fixes?
Hi Aspra, unfortunately NordicTrack does not optimize their machines so that we can install other apps. That being the case, Yes, I have seen where iFit> does not come back on when you switch from another app. As for freezing? I have heard several subscribers comment on iFit freezing or closing. When your iFit> app freezes, how do you unfreeze it? Are you forced to power cycle your machine?
Do you have a treadmill or bike or a different machine? What model? How old is it? I may be able to answer better if I have more specifics
Nelson Munoz I have the X32i treadmill. When I’m streaming in other apps and want to come back to check in how much time I had left on a workout, ifit freezes still but audio would still be on. I normally would just ignore it and go back to my streaming app and just complete the workout in its. entirety. Just curious if there was a fix and/or other ppl experiencing the same freeze out.
Aspra, you stated when you switch back to iFit> the audio continues? Are you playing an iFit video workout that has an iFit> trainer? I would recommended if you are going to switch from iFit> to another app, I would choose the manual iFit> workout. This way you aren't taxing the treadmill's resources.
Nelson Munoz yeah was just curious if anyone had a fix and/or experiencing the same freezing issues. I prefer the guided workouts as I know there’s an end lol
Anyone else notice a thin vertical green line on the right edge of the screen when playing a video on Netflix? I installed the apk file from the Netflix Help section and am running Android v.7.1.2. There are other forums that mention this issue occurring on standard Android devices since last year. However, there seems to be no fix.

Hi Lorre, that is normal for some apps. You can just power down your machine and power back up and it will be fine, or if you want to install an app that will automatically auto-rotate your screen whenever you use an app that wants to turn your screen sideways, just check out this video: ruclips.net/video/A-X0KEEDJ7wt/видео.html=1910

Hi Pete. My X22i is a 2016 model that I purchased in 2018. The older models have several features that for some reason, NordicTrack decided to remove from their current models?
My X22i Incline Trainer has a USB port, an HDMI port, and an option. called live wallpaper, which allows me to change my wallpaper (just for the privileged mode Android desktop).
My guess is they took away the feature because they did not anticipate many NordicTrack owners would be hacking their treadmills/bikes accessing the administrative desktop.

Hi Sylvain, sorry about that. I figured it was best to "set the table" first so that when you run thru the steps you will have a better understanding of what it is you are doing. When I make the videos I have to take everyone into consideration and there are a lot of viewers/subscribers that would rather have too much info, rather than jumping straight to the answer.

@@NelsonMunoz0714 thanks for the reply. Tried the tapping on both the maintenance screen and the stats number column on the left side of the iFit home page I saw in the video specifically the “elevation gain” area but nothing happened. Maybe a recent update took away the privilege mode?
@@puki07777 are you tapping 10 times then waiting 7 seconds (try 5 seconds as well) then tapping 10 times again?
