When I am done with this table, how do I get rid of the empty blank above to the left? I seem to be having trouble removing it. I am not sure if its Google Doc that doesn't allow it or Word Document permits it.
Are you able to add text outside the border, next to your table? I am able to do this in MS Word, but having difficulty in Google Docs as my text shifts the table below my text. Please advise. Thanks so much!
Hi Pooja. In order to stop a table row from splitting over two pages in Google Docs you must add a page break in the table. In order to do this you can: Select the bottom part of the table (everything below the point where you want to split it) Drag it below the table Delete the empty rows that are left behind I hope this helps!
yoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo Is there any way to have a title included in a table? Like, The very top row not having columns ?? Please anyone. So its just a row with no columns but the rest of the rows below it do have coums
Hi Megan! Yes you can, but the only way to do this would be to turn the table into an image. You can do this by following the instructions below: 1. Create the table in Docs, then select the entire table by dragging your cursor through it and then pressing Ctrl + C to copy it. 2. Next, go to Insert > Drawing and paste the table in the Drawing panel using Ctrl + V. 3. Then, press the blue Save & Close button to put the converted table into your document. 4. Once it's in your document, you will need to make it smaller (use the blue sizing squares when you click on the table image) so text can flow around it. 5. When you click on the table image, select "Wrap text" in the menu below it. I hope this helps!
You may try this: First select the header row on the first page and copy (Ctrl+C). Then go to the menu Insert > Header & Page number > Header. Paste (Ctrl+V) the copied header row. Check the “Different first page” option. We hope this helps!
