Well, who would have thought this place even existed. Steph and I (especially Steph) are huge Lord of the Rings / Hobbit fans - so when we heard that there was a Hobbiton-inspired village in the Guatemalan mountains near Antigua, we HAD to visit. Safe to say it was amazing...

Great video! I was here in 2019 and didn’t know there was a shuttle until we climbed up the hill. I had a bad case of altitude sickness but the barkeep made me a restorative drink and it worked magic. This place was magical, I’m glad you found it. Guatemala is truly magnificent! Take care and thanks for documenting your trip.I can’t wait to go back.

My parents are from Guatemala and I never heard of this place 🤣 shame on me. It looks like something straight out of mythology folklore for duendes. My mother had an encounter with a duende back in the 70s. These spiritual beings are real.

Hey Dawn, can’t remember if there was a height limit, but there was a 200lb weight limit if I recall! If you go, enjoy!

If I recall the shuttles are fairly regular, they all leave from the Hobbitenango oficina in Antigua town (check google maps) and first one is at 8ish. Have an amazing time!
