- Boxing Day saw us return to Premier League action with a 3-1 victory against West Ham United through goals from Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli and Eddie Nketiah.

First time going to a premier league game at the emirates this season and the atmosphere was electric, night and day compared to previous seasons
not the best atmosphere theres been so far this season at home either think there were a lot of nerves but yh so different from last season
Best it's been since 07-08 season which feels like a lifetime ago now. Best thing about it is that we all sing when we concede. Some of the players have said that it really spurs them on. Only downside is if the games wrapped up by the 70th-80th min the atmosphere drops for the last 10. Every game including the NLD for some reason. Like we're allergic to singing past the 80th min.

They need to make a all or nothing season 2 for this season that would be amazing.
@@Tobz010I notice City have got their own, in-house documentary running this season. We should be thinking about doing the same. I think with such a huge fan base like ours it would be successful, worthwhile and most of all so exciting for us fans who can’t get to the games
I love that out of all the goals scored Mikel had a genuine smile when Eddie scored
Eddie didnt let him down
It was a beautiful striker goal and Nketiah worked his socks off to press West Ham's defense high up the pitch. Nketiah's hold-up and link-up plays were also top-notch

Arteta obviously has genuine belief in Eddie, he wouldn't have been given that massive new contract if not. The fact that he seems to have improved his overall game significantly, even with very limited playing time shows that he must have done everything right in training. Sometimes players just need that one chance to prove themselves, and I hope this period can be Nketiah's Emi Martinez moment.
Arteta knows that he needed to score to boost his confidence . He's all we've got atm
He's their biggest cheerleader and rightly so. I loved the KT moment and yeah, all smiles when Eddie scored. Great stuff.
All he needs is a set of pom poms 😂
I love at 6:00 when all three of them are on the edge of the technical area shouting instructions to a player or players who clearly aren't doing their role properly at that moment.
The entire coaching staff know exactly how they want the team to perform and won't miss a beat to tell them when they aren't stepping up.
Our favorite club. Positivity all the way, let's put trust in the players we have, and give them the confidence they need.

Goalkeepers - Ramsdale, Turner (both quality)
RBs - Tomiyasu White (both quality)
LB - Zinchenko, Tierney sometimes Tomiyasu(all quality)
CBs - Gabriel, Saliba, Holding sometimes White and Tomiyasu (all quality except Holding who's ok)
CDMs - Partey, Elneny and sometimes Lokonga (One is quality the other is decent and the third is ok)
Attacking mid/ CM - Odegaard, Viera, sometimes Smith Rowe and sometimes Lokonga(all quality except Lokonga who is improving)
Wingers - Saka, Martinelli, Nelson, Smith Rowe and sometimes Viera(all quality except Nelson who isn't so bad)
Strikers - Jesus, Nketiah (One is real quality and the other is a very decent back up).
When everyone is fit and available I think we have a very good squad that can compete.

@Bagboy I intentionally left out Cedric, because I don't think he will be at Arsenal past January. As for Holding I agree that he should be sold. But for now he is a good squad player to have. Every squad has such players. Lokonga, I am not giving up on yet, I still believe there's a very good player in there.
But you have to realise that no squad has the same depth of quality in all positions, not even Man City. For e.g, who's on the same level as De Bruyne or Haaland in those positions in their squad. Who is their second RB or LB that are on the same level as the starters? Is their second choice Goalkeeper as good as Ederson? Food for thought.

This is what I missing. The energy and sheer mentality. Kudos to Arteta and staff people for maintaining this atmosphere around the team. I am UK for study and may be in March I will be at Emirates for the first time and been fan of Arsenal for 18+ years.
The urge to take quick free kicks. The lack of celebrating from Saka, instead grabbing the ball. Love it. They were in a rush to come back. They knew they would.

Have said it before that I would prefer a shot of the entire bench rather than just Mikel. It would be nice to see the reactions of players on the bench in addition to the manager and the staff. Right now it's just a manager cam rather than bench cam.

Love how whenever we concede our supporters rally the boys to get going again. This never happened under Wenger’s latter stages or Emery’s entire reign. Mikel has made such a difference.

In his first couple seasons Mikel would have to constantly organize them in their positioning and remind them of shape and their triangles. This has dramatically reduced. The players now know exactly what we need. Mikel is way more quieter on the touchline.
Eddie is just a straight up and down, goal scorer! Bare striker skills and quite under rated. He performs a proper dying trade 👍🏼🙏🏼❤ coyg!
