Simply yet, detailed breakdown. I'm almost to my saving goal. My eyes are on the Grand seiko Spring Drive gmt titanium mistflake. It's my holy grail. I appreciate your insight and videos. Keep up the great work brother.
I mean… Watches after a certain point ($50-100) become a luxury toy for men. You absolutely do not need a watch for 10 grand because it keeps time +2 seconds a day
@johnblackburn9574a Rolex cost 10-15% of its retail price to produce and that’s not overpriced? And their movement technology isn’t even anything that special, it’s just robust and reliable
You lose sleep, mental energy, and time, to thinking, wanting and desiring a watch. Haven't you heard? The peasants now buy Rolexes. The elite no longer regard stupidly priced watches as a status symbol. You're 25 years too late, friend. Get a real hobby and passion
The beauty of this tech is that it's not limited to Grand Seiko: mind you, *no* Spring Drive watch is "cheap", but you can get your hands on a Prospex Spring Drive for a good deal less than the "entry-level" model from a certain celebrated Swiss brand.
You can actually buy a Seiko with that spring drive movement. But for 5k you might as well save up a bit more and get the Grand Seiko. If I ever do I'll be watching that seconds hand every second of the day. It's literally mesmerizing.
+2 a day is if you’re lucky most Rolex from AD are running +5 to +8 per day, they’re only Cosc chronometer certified, superlative is a term they made up
In fact, they sort-of did: their Dolce series of quartz watches had a few models incorporating a movement with a smooth-seconds hand like in their table and wall clocks...if I'm not mistaken, they were the first watches to achieve this since the Bulova Accutron, and certainly the first quartz-movement watches to do so, near as I can tell.
Google in you tube, "how spring drives work" Tyger one video is only about 3 minutes long. The thumbnail is of the inside of a watch diagram ... separated & pulled apart. Really interesting video!
This is what I love the most about GS. They do have personality.
As a mechanical engineer, it amazes me, what we can build from scratch....!
Mechanical engineers can design ICs?
@@BayernFanAusDortmundno, we don't design them.... 😄
As an Electrical engineer they bested us.

The fact that Grand Seiko isn’t at the top of the charts tells you everything you need to know about the luxury watch industry. 150% marketing.

GS are so underrated. .. awesome watches
If the low the price maybe 😅
GS Spring Drive GMT is my ultimate grail without a close second. Thanks for the great explanation!

Couldn't understand anything, but I love Grand Seiko.
Awesome watch 👌🏼

Ya bro I hope both of us can do that
Only a watch dork would know this or even care!!😂😂 That's why I love your info. Keep it coming!!! By far the best!!!
Seiko never settles.
GS is not getting the credit they deserve. Also you forgot the accuracy, +0.5 sec per day. Closest competitor is Rolex with +2 sec per day.

Watches are amazing
Now, to convince my wife why I need a Grand Seiko watch. Wish me luck.
Grand Seiko is my favorite
It’s like a refinement of the Accutron movement
So what was Seiko kinetic?
Love my shunbun, wear it daily 😅
Now do a video on the special
Frédérique Constant Monolithique.
My grail brand forever is grand seiko.....i prefer it million times to any swiss brand❤❤❤❤sadly cant afford to have even cheapest model😢
Bro great video!
I'd love one, but I'll have to go with the citizen titanium. Its not the same, but the GS is out of my price range sadly.
Yeah that is just awesome
Great Info thanks
Not to mention that it is accurate as hell
I will buy one of GS after I my net worth hits $100 million. I will keep you updated.
I don’t think we should be calling it “frictionless” glide wheel but it’s cool nonetheless
I cannot afford one, so I purchased the next best thing.
An Invicta 40mm Pro Diver Automatic. 👍
Can't they just use a motor for the seconds hand and make it slow for a smooth sweeping second hand?

Woah
Only problem to expensinve and second hand price is too low
