No there isn’t. But I would still recommend occasionally cleaning that area where the compressor is. There is a lot of dust build up there and could affect the performance of the compressor. I had my fridge act out once and I cleaned that area with a vacuum and it was all better.
Mine doesnt have one like that. Mine just says multi air flow across the top. Could mine be somewhere else or not have one at all? I replaced the water filter, but cant find an air filter.
I have seen some videos where they turn the water off first. I cannot move my fridge out to do that, it is way too hard. You do not show that you turn the water off. Is that okay then?
@@Daddicated Hey, thank a bunch. I took a chance and no leaks and not even a drip. I guess some people are extra cautious. Thanks for getting back to me and thanks for the great video!
Daddicated . If you look at the filter, you will see a framed side and a blank side. On the framed side, words “Front” is molded into it. That’s the side that needs to be facing you when you put it into the holder, not the way you had it. See LG’s video here for more reference (ruclips.net/video/5MDPeQ8Kqgc/видео.html).
@@anthonyc.6170 Umm, strange. I guess they installed mine incorrectly then at the factor. Because when I took it out at 1:49 you can see it's the other way. And that's how I put it back. This was my first time replacing the filter since the time of purchase.
Yeah that’s what someone already mentioned to me. This is how it was originally installed so I just did the same thing. My guess it was installed backwards from the factory

Fantastic, this video is exactly what we needed. My husband has fixed our water filter following your instructions. Thank you
Glad I was able to help.
Besides the air filter on the INSIDE of the fridge is their any on the outside perhaps in the back or underneath the fridge?

Uuumm! That sugary kids drink looks amazing! 😋
It’s yogurt. Very good but probably unhealthy. Lol

I usually save my kids from unhealthy stuff like that...
@@DIYtimeTRD Your a good father.

Very likely yours doesn't have one. What model is it?
@@Daddicated mine doesnt have one, so I put the filters up for sale on ebay cheap.
@@thefergolfer there you go. 👍🏼
My air filter seems to be stuck and I can’t turn it to the left any advice?
Try maybe turning it in the opposite direction? Not sure mine came off without a lot of effort.
@@Daddicated I ended up tapping it with a rubber hammer and it came loose. Thanks for returning my message
@@maryharrow5707 Awesome. Glad to hear that it worked. Thanks for sharing your solution.
wow. thts great
Thanks

The way my filter works I didn’t have to turn off any water. So if ur fridge is like mine u should be good.
Also if u want to close the valve it should be under your sink not behind the fridge

I turned my water off outside, same effect
How do we ever function before RUclips videos?
We used to overpay for services that we could do ourselves because of the lack of knowledge. Now we can save a lot by doing things ourselves.
What happens if it doesn’t turn ? Have tried everything to get it to turn
You sure it’s not frozen or there is nothing in the way? It should be too hard to turn it.
FYI: Your air filter is in backwards.
How so?

Nah man, you got it confused. Front means when it’s installed it will be facing you. I check I did mine correctly.

Based on several other videos U r installing the filter in backwards
Yeah I installed it the same way it was installed from the factory which was wrong apparently. Thanks for letting me know.
I can see that happening. I checked several other videos to confirm this and my filter was installed the correctly from the factory
Held button 3 min lites remain on
did you hold the right button?
You put the air filter in backwards. The filter says front, which faces you! It does matter
Yeah, someone mentioned that to me already. It was installed backwards at the factory so I just reinstalled the same way it was.
I would expect you to read instructions before teaching others who are also not reading directions
By the way you put the air filter backwards, check out other videos

Air filter was placed in wrong/backwards see LG video
I installed it the same way it was installed and hen I got the fridge brand new so they must of done it wrong at the factory. Whoops.
@@Daddicated understood, I initially did it the same way as well
