This worked fine until I tried using the portal in the nether to go back and it created a 3rd portal in the over world. Do you know how I can fix this? I tried breaking it and went back through and it just made a 4th one right next to it
This really helps in my world. I built a Farm 2000+ block's away from my base So traveling back in fourth with fireworks was Hella expensive. I tried using the nether to make it quicker but it just kept connecting to a Fortress In which i previously built a portal at.
a few years ago i was watching a Hermitcraft video & Doc was explaining how to link portals (i think to Mumbo bc i didnt watch Doc then) so i vaguely remembered but wanted to be safe, thx:)
I need help. I have built two portals and followed your instructions exactly. When I go through my second portal, I arrive at the second portal in the Nether. However, when I go through the second portal in the Nether, I go to a third portal in the Overworld that the game has created. How can I fix this?
Ive tried this on a flat world and the portals r 1 block away for each other works prefect but i went on my survival and the portals r 100 blocks away and still links to my main one 🙄annoying af
Literally the issue I'm having right now. I've had an upstairs and downstairs portal before, for my main level and mines. But for some gd reason now it just WONT link properly for me. Idk wtf it's issue is
1. Go into nether. Build inside the nether portal at the correct location. 2. Break the original inside the nether portal, then light the portal at the correct location. 3. Build new over-world portal (don't light) 4. Go back through original portal. Go to the location for new inside portal 5. Build new portal inside the nether and light it. Do not go through it! 6. Go back to over-world. 7. Light the second over-world portal, and enter.
Broke all 4 portals rebuild all of them didn't light them until the first portal got linked to the one I made in the nether but when I go do the second link it makes me go to my main base instead of the other base I want
@@hailsjgrd9160 my way to do portal linking is first i build a portal in the overworld (my 1st base), go inside, make a safe space inside the nether to reposition the portal based on the nether-overworld coordinates calculations, go back to my 1st base, travel to my 2nd base, build a nether portal and light it up, dont go inside, go to 1st base portal, build a safe route to the exact nether coordinate of 2nd base portal, create a safe space, and then make the portal manually to go to the 2nd base
How does this apply to a mid game world where you already have lots of nether portals all around both the nether and overworld? Do I have to break all of them and start from scratch?
What if we already calculated the coordinates from the overworld to the nether and we make a portal in the nether coordinates, will it just spawn where we want or do we still need to build another one in the overworld
ok the fisrt linked portals i built work like a charm they take me to were they needed to go,but when i linked my second set it took to they right cords on entry but on return it took me to my main portal,do i need to redo my main portal?
Hey I’m using this because I wanna build your gold farm, will this work for the farm. The most recent one because every time I build a portal it links to my original so can I do this for the gold farm?
Bro thanks for the tutorial❤ Btw does it failed when two portal’s hight(Y) distance is too big? I had one at Y:133 and Y:43 but it both connected to Y:43 one
Great video. Pretty simple. Every 8 blocks in overworld = 1 block in the Nether. So that is why we divide coordinates to get corresponding coords for the nether to link or pair 2 portals. To set up a new pair of portals for traveling, you build them both and activate them before entering them so that they pair. Properly.
What if my portals are about a hundred blocks apart but one is in a mountain and one is underground and in the nether I am really high so when I go through either portal in the nether if links to my mountain portal
Definitely keep making tutorials, you're very good at explaining most. Most youtubers make this seem like rocket science lol
No problem :) It shouldn't be hard lol
This is all so unnecessarily complicated Mojang please make a simpler way
RIGHT
@@BlazedMCs thanks either way 😁

I’m assuming that if I’m in the nether and I find a spot I want to spawn at, I do the same thing just backwards?

i have this problem too
Hey, what if i wanted to link a portal in different Y level? For example use it like an elevator to a skeleton spawner farm or whatever else
The Y level shouldn't matter when doing this, just the X and Z

Thank you so much. Amazing video made it so easy to follow
if 2 portals are extremely far apart from eachother in the overworld can you make them close to eachother in the nether?
This is the best tutorial ever, now i can get to different locations alot quicker
Glad I could help :)
what if we already messed up a bunch of portals? can we just simply deactivate all of those portals and begin lighting up correctly?
Yes because if they are ALL broken on both sides, it will make new portals
@BlazedMCs
I did that and it still won't work

if you want to link every one, then probably. If it 2, than no
How do you calculate if you build in the fortress a portal and connect it into the overworld?
How far do the nether portals have to keep from linking
IF you follow this tutorial, as close as you want
@@BlazedMCs it’s still linking each other. I don’t understand why it does that for me

How can i fix 2 Portals that got linked wrong?
Break both and restart lol

I’m trying to do this for a nether highway system on the bedrock roof
I found a nether fortress and I wanna link it. How do I?
Same way I did in the video
multiply the nether coordinates by 8 and then find the overworld coordinates corresponding to the nether one, then just follow the video

It will link incorrectly
is it possible to place a nether porter in the nether to the destination i want to go the in the over world?
Yup just go to your final destination and start there
Question:P
What if i say place a nether portal(my first in the world)
And i move the one in the nether by 30 or 40 blocks
Can i still link them or?
(currently working on a nether highway)
So should I just extend my highway to where cords of the overworld portal?
Or is there a way to link them?
Sorry if my English is confusing or anything it's not exactly my 1st language
