so that would probably because the synth is bitimbral meaning it can stack 2 patches on top of eachother. but since the synth has a limit of 8 voices, when 2 patch are stacked to play at the same time, the synth feels like.a 4 voice
I have a dumb rookie question... Will a 16 voice synthesizer sound more epic playing a basic 3 note chord than an 8 voice synthesizer. I'm trying to figure out why anyone would buy the 16 voice Moog One vs the 8 voice Moog One, I can't imagine ever making a chord larger than 8 notes in my music. However I feel like the 16 voice would sound more "lush" or "amazing" or whatever adjective to describe "better" than the 8 voice option produces. Can anyone help me understand this?
being able to play more advanced chords and more complex music without note decay being abruptly cut off but at the same time, some chord progressions sound better when their envelopes get blended together by playing chords at the voice limit (i.e. Phil Collins' In The Air Tonight using all 5 voices on a stock Prophet 5)
If you can play many notes at the one time, it has more than one voice. For example, a monophonic keyboard only has one voice, and you can play only one note at a time. A polyphonic keyboard has as many voices as its programmed to have, but either way, you can play multiple notes at a time.
Ooh nice Rev 2! 👌
:))) thanks! I love it!
You're the best teacher hands-down
Awe you :)) thank pal
So helpful! Thank you!
Thank you for all the videos. Learned a lot from you
thank you for explaining
thanks a lot!
How do you get to play the sound through your computer?
Why do you lose voices on some patches. I have an 8 voice synthesizer and on some patches I can only get 4 voices

@@danfur7994 thanks Dan…that makes sense now
How can produce defrent types of wind voices from synthesizer
The Korg MS-20 has two types of noise (white and pink). You can also get some wild sounds from a digital FM synth like the Hydrasynth

Hey Dan,
what is the advantage of 16 votes?
I am not sure if I want to get the REV 2 with 8 voices or 16 voices.

I'm more confused now. If you had a piano, I'm guessing that has one voice? But you can play many notes at one time and not just one
