    IdaBLOW 7, amirite?

    I’ll be that guy. I like Idaho 7. It’s a nice grassy, herbal, earthy, freshness for me. It’s not my favorite but I’ve definitely had a few beers where I could really appreciate it. Couldn’t really imagine it in a hazy though… more American Pale Ale leaning kind of hop

      Damn it, Oliver.
      Haha it’s all good bro. We like what we like. You may hate a hop that I love. It’s what makes beer fun 🍻🍻

    I’ve been getting a lot of earthiness from Mosaic lately. It has been all over a few of the recent Mosaic beers I’ve had from tree house. At times in the past it has had a really pleasant soft fruity character that I never came up with a good descriptor for - kinda like starburst candy sort of sweet fruitiness.

      It’s weird because I’ve not gotten a ton of earthiness from Mosaic beers out here. I’m wondering if it’s how it’s acting with their yeast? I have no clue the science behind that 😂

    I have 169 individual check-ins from Tree House, which is by far the most from any brewery for me.
    I agree with you though; their staple beers are the best ones. Most of the other beers I don’t remember or don’t want to have again.
    FYI, the orange sticky candy coated in sugar is called “Orange Slices”. That stuff will pull the fillings and caps off your teeth. 🍻

    • @jsenigaglia
      @jsenigaglia  4 месяца назад

      Orange Slices! Thank you! I had been thinking about it all weekend 😂😂😂
      I just looked, and I think Monkish is my most checked in? Says 221 but I’m not sure how to see if they’re individual? Treehouse shows 209 but I think I’ve got several Green check ins?

      @@jsenigaglia I’m using Beer Advocate to see individual check-ins. I’m not sure if Untappd has that function.

    Never cared for Idaho 7 hops, and if Hill Farmstead ever put out a Double Idaho 7, it would be the first time I'd pass on their beer ha. Now Double Simcoe though... I'm there! I also really wish Tree House would release Bright or variations of Bright more often. Bright w/Nelson is a top 3 Nelson offering for me, Bright OG a top 3 Mosaic brew. Totally agree with you about the number of TH hazies now... maybe try a series of New West Coast IPAs? Wild West 01 to start the series? Great honest review, CHAIRS!!!

      “Double Idaho 7” 😂🔥😂🔥😂. I think Bright is the only clear hoppy beer they really do, right? I don’t even recall seeing that beer in recent memory, but admittedly, I’ve not kept up on treehouse (clearly from my lack of knowing any of these recent beers were a thing 😜). Bro, Double Simcoe would be amazing!! We can dream!!

    I’m pretty sure basically the entire brewing staff at Tree House has been replaced since they were in Monson.. Not to say they aren’t still capable of making great original recipes, but I can only think of 2 new brands from the past 4 years that have had staying power.

    Agree on Treehouse, outside of their core line IPA’s there’s very few I would go back for. Don’t like any of the ones with fruit purée, any only wiling to try the new IPAs on draft where you can purchase one. That being said some of their new lagers and the Trail variations have been delicious!

    • @jsenigaglia
      @jsenigaglia  4 месяца назад +1

      I need to try some of their lagers! These hazies are well crafted beers but yes, they all blend together. 🍻

  • @alanburns2898
    @alanburns2898 4 месяца назад

    Something needs to change. I think a lot of people have been disappointed by the flagship beers lately and for that reason, have turned to the one offs - we’d rather roll the dice on something new. I feel like a lot of these one offs are maybe more marketing driven while the curiosities (there have only* been 141 in 10+ years) are recipe driven. I think they should focus in on something- either bringing the old recipes into spec or replacing them with things people are digging now, or both, while reducing the “endless variety” / noise. After years of constant pricing for their base core stuff, those brands have finally gone up in price by a buck per 4-pack and I feel like it’s sort of inflection point where those are really starting to die and the focus has to shift. They made 222 new labels/brands (before even considering one off labels for existing beers lol) for packaged beers last year imo to lure consumers looking for “new.”

    • @jsenigaglia

    Outside of the core lineup all the hazies at TH start to blend together. I hope you got some of their lagers/pilners in that gift box because those are on point these days. Golf Pils at 3.8% is an all day crusher.

Was def delicious and being there always ads to the experience but I tried one or two when I got home this being one of them and felt exactly the same way, too heavy, to sweet, just didn't like it... 💯 I feel it’s recycled exaggerations of other beers and comes down to not really being different. Truly comes down to “hey fellas” keep the 4 flag ship beers going” other than that. Knock it off…😂
