Está flauta habla de los nativos indígenas norteamericanos y me transmite el mensaje de que ellos fueron tan grandes artistas como sus homólogos: incas, mayas y aztecas. Muy bello. Gracias 🤲🔥👑
I saw Mary live and participated in a drum circle - that evening was incredible and the powerful energy in the room was electric as we drummed. She's a lovely spirit and a talented musician.
I have learned so much from just watching this vid. Especially how to do those intricate backward little trills that I couldn't figure out. So much technique can be gleaned from this clip!! For those wanting to learn..feel her music in her heart and watch her fingers and you'll be playing the songs of the wind and earth in no time!
What a beautiful song ~ I have "God Bumps" just listening... It's so telling of the pain and sorrow they had to endure, truly a beautiful sentiment and a lovely dedication to such a tragic event. Mary is a vessel of Love to bring her gift of song to the beautiful Native American's and their ancestors, in order for honor to be given, with proper respect, for the indigenous people of America. Thanks for sharing this wonderful piece with me, I enjoyed watching and listening to this video! ;)
RIP uncle jack forever in our hearts. next month we will run and wake the spirits of our ancestors to remind them we are still here and this will forever be our land!
The best native american flute player. Her breath control and tone is marvelous. She is so humble. I hope to keep learning and improving, by listening to her music!
@HomelessShelterRice - Mary explains in the other video that Kientepoos was a Modoc Warrior. He was the leader. He wanted to stop the war, wanted peace for his men and for others. His men called him a coward. He was later hung... Such a beautiful song.
Not sure but this is what I found.... Busbydog The Modoc Chief Kientepoos was known as "Captain Jack." He led a band of his people away from their reservation. They returned to the Modocs' ancestral lands along the Lost River in northeastern California. A force of 400 U.S. Army soldiers tried to force them to return to the reservation in 1872. That began the Modoc War.
I guess it wouldn't post my comment because I included my email addy earlier, but I am on FB under wolf rick patterson, how have you been? it looks like you have been keeping busy and sounding great to...Do you still have a copy of that video we did on that Cruiseship together...? The beauty in it is its simplicity.
