This was great! I’m pretty intrigued by the conductors, though I wonder how much granular control you have with it. I wish the stream didn’t break up before the bed though
Thanks James! For sure one of the most intriguing parts of this machine. The app just has 3 modes (spiral, circular, and center), but I'm impressed that the coverage is pretty good, unlike a lot of other brewers!
I would be very interesting in changing out the fan as I find it a bit louder then I expected...I would think it's a 5v 3-wire 40mm fan, so it should be an easy upgrade to a Noctua fan!
Any chance you are able to see part number/details of the water heater and pump? I was hoping to use it in a personal project since it seems to fit the exact specs of what I need
I had a similar curiosity but none of the internals were familiar parts to me, my understanding is that the majority of engineering and parts sourcing was from the Chinese market
@@tatemazer Ah thats really unfortunate. Reached out to xbloom and they wouldn't let me know since I didn't actually own a machine of theirs. Unfortuante really, maybe it'd be different if I had one but $800 is steep
Uh...wish granted? This machine *is* an automatic pourover machine...and while it does take pods, there's a reusable dripper for DIY. I'm currently using it to make some incredibly good brews. Or did you mean a homemade brewer?
I have backed this too and looking forward to the despatch of the UK machines, it is a shame for a machine this well built and at this price point, they have not made it with a detachable chord or any aparent form of unused cord storage, this makes the machine more difficult to site and may leave unsightly cord lying around.

Hey James! Planning on doing a review on this one?
@@eliiiiiijah yes!
@@jameshoffmann Excellent! Looking forward to it :)
Rad to see the Hoff on this channel. Tate is doing some cool things!

When's the xBloom Studio look inside coming? :)
wonderful video Tate. Thank you for adding something genuinely unique, informative, and interesting to coffee RUclips!
Man, I love the fact that you have a serious toolbox underneath your espresso setup! ♥
haha exactly! always gotta be ready for something to break
This video woke me up from a 10 year coma and now I’m brewing coffee, thanks Tate!
I truly am a miracle worker
A true engineer.
"OOH USB PORT. Now where was I?"
Nice inside look Tate!

Super cool! I'm somewhere between a design engineer and industrial designer with a coffee addiction and this is such a cool piece of machinery
Yes! Definitely from an industrial design perspective, it was a huge success 🦾🦾
1:40 - Grind setting: gravel
Secret cold brew mode uncovered 👀👀👀
What material is the boiler?
Cool to see you cover this, I hope you backed the meticulous too cause I’d love to see this exact sort of review on it. Good stuff!
lol sad to say I didn't... not enough space (and money) to grow my arsenal even further

@@riopacheco01 The new xBloom Studio is "only" about $500 or less with the pre order.
I’m interested to see how XBloom handles service.
Awesome video!
Can’t wait to get mine!
The water deflector is a super cool bit of kit, would love to see someone make a DIY automatic pourover machine with the same tech...

I felt the same way! Still trying to make sense of exactly how it works but I'm fairly certain they've got a patent on it :/
Thanks for the video! Love seeing the guts into my xBloom. I so would have lost a screw when trying to put it all back together 😅
Do you have a good Xbloom recipe for Lobster Butter Love? I love RoosRoast!
Nice shirt! Was hoping you were going to get usb access to the machine :D
Thanks! Me too 😞

Thanks now if I ever have to take it apart, I have a guide!
Fun little tear-down! :) How’s the coffee?
some pods I've loved, some not so much, but I love that there's such a variety of flavors from pods!
Breville dual boiler mods please!!!
Feels like a 3d printer conversion would be hilarious
Should've used the USB port to plug it into a computer! There could've been a treasure map or secret password on there!
oh you already know i tried! I couldn't seem to find any way to communicate with it :(
