As someone who discovered Shpongle at like 15 years old, seeing others getting into their music for the first time is an unexpected delight! :D Thank you folks very much!
Shpongle is one of my favorite bands. There are so many styles of music and world styles combined in fascinating ways. I just never get tired of listening to their music. The next on should be "Divine Moments of Truth" from the 2015 "Live in London" DVD.
I was at their last performance at Red Rocks, it was absolutely mind blowing. Absolutely incredible musicians. Be sure to check out How the Jellyfish Jumped Up the Mountain also.
@@rik6696I really hate that McKenna quote. Not because I dislike big doses, but because it doesn’t take into account potency of different types of shrooms and individual makeup. That quote has gotten a lot of people in trouble 😠
I'd almost given up on music by the late 90's having been brought up on all the rock greats... Then a little late I discovered Sphongle!! What can I say... just a trip... The ultimate trip - didn't even need shrooms just went there! AND STILL DO.
Shpongle is amazing, first heard them was I got my first minidisc player; the only interesting looking prerecorded disc I could find, was Shpongles first album Are You Shpongled... Been hooked since, still have the minidisc too. To be fair, I have most albums Simon Posford has had a major part in. Simons influence is undeniable, what he did with Hallucinogen, Shpongle and Younger Brother changed the game in so many ways. Raja Ram, Graham Wood, Benji, Ron Rothfield and more deserve just as much credit.
Havent searched for a Shpongle reaction in a very long time, glad you did one of this song it sure is a banger! Hope you listened to some more in your free time because they are super unique
You guys keep reacting to a lot of my obscure(ish) favorites - Shpongle, Rosalie Cunningham… And I’m here for it. There’s also live performances by Shpongle on YT and they’re every bit as interesting visually as they are musically.
Sphongle ❤, you go to a bar ask for a good mix of cocktail or a chilled brewsky and the dude arrives with a J 🦦, thats Sphongle right there. Dude always delivers❤
love your guys' reactions, as a roughly 20 year fan of this band. ill check out your other stuff, but if you havent heard "My Head Feels Like A Frisbee" you will love it. Or the main dude in shpongle Simons solo project Hallucinogen's "Snakey Shaker" is super good too, more psytrance vibes though on that one. great video though. i shall sub
Alrighty then.....here we go....THREE ORIGINAL Songs by Liliac...all preformed LIVE, or using LIVE concert footage....Start out at LIVE@MadLife: "Let me go", with a great Sam solo in it.....Next, Live in Woodstock GA, "Vertigo" Ethan's Bass solo, plus Melodia's Throat Singing.....finally, IF you even dare..OVM: "Not Afraid" (you will have to ask Jon and Dolly how they liked THAT one) First 2 are from 2021...last one is from 2022 Midnight Tour.
You must do a long reaction to their 2008 Roundhouse performance. Probably the best Electronic Music performance to ever grace our eyes and ears. Think of a modern Pink Floyd epic live performance.
WHAT THE SH!T? Somebodies reacting to Shpongle. Seriously, no adult should go through their life without listening to this album on what Terrance McKenna called an "epic dose" of mushrooms.
Thank you for the entertainment. Just to say, (and you may be fully aware of it) the title is a play on words "Around the World in Eighty Days", the well known Jules Verne novel. The music captures small bites and essence of all sorts of musical styles from around the world focusing on an oriental/asian flavour - the tea.
Try the first two song of their album: museum of consciousness 💯. And to merkaba. And to Kayla scintilla but only to certain songs because their top songs aren't as good as others imo

Hehe...right on! The psych world online in the late 90s was trading this on dialup before the album even came out. Took me two nights to download :)

Pleeeeaaase do more Shpongle! Head feels like a Frisbee is one of my favorites but honestly the entire album of Tales of The Inexpressible is magical
I second this opinion
Shpongle is amazing! They are one of a kind

First time I listened to Shpongle was the first time I ever dropped one down. What an experience that was for me. Amazing
10 years ago when I used to take lsd and mushrooms this song was on every playlist I had
Take them again
@Shaman196 Exactly. As Terrance Mckenna said ">5grams= Heroic dose". This is the way.

Pure joy!!!!!!😂❤
And we can take this huge universe and put it inside a very tiny head: you fold it... *fractal*
Such a cool song!
The best around the world party reaction 😊
Ha ha they've been sphongled!
Not saying this or that, but under a certain kind of influence, that's when this music transcends the concept if music. It's made for psychedelics
Samuel L. Jackson: Hold on to your butts...😜😜

They have a song called "Tickeling the Amygdala"

It is heroic dose
Listen to "I am you.. " Nice to see new converts...
