Was in Khao Lak in 2014, 10 years after the tragedy. During that time, they have managed to rebuild quite a lot of the areas that were greatly affected. As we entered the province, suddenly we were reminded of what happened there because there were signs put up by the road side that mentioned how badly that particular area was affected. I stayed in a cosy resort called Chongfah Beach Resort and extended my 5 day stay to 2 weeks because there weren't that many tourists at that time and it was so relaxing!!! Planning to go there again in the very near future and perhaps this time, I might just stay at this JW Marriot. The pool looks so inviting! Another great vlog and stay safe you two! Sawatdeekrup 🙏

What a fun video! I love Adriana and Dylan too. I've been to Khao Lak twice, the last time was in May 2018 and we went to Memories Beach to check out the surf but unfortunately there wasn't any surf on that day but we had some awesome food there. Your accommodation looked absolutely spectacular❤
We stayed in Khao Lak in 2019 at the Thai Life style resort. Such beautiful long beaches! We also visited the Tsunami memorial further along the beach. Because it is very flat and low lying around there, the tsunami must have been totally devastating. Love the video BTW. Might stay at JW Resort if we go again!!! Looks awesome.😉

The best points in Khaolak is all the hotels there almost location on the beach side as nothings pass on the beach and disturb you while relaxing on the beach like Phuket,,,
Ya Miss Japan...last I visited is the early 90..n meet a farang lady that ask me do I know japanese..n I say no...she says good luck...but I survived..now u don't have a problem cos they speak English or u can use the phone to translate 💗💗🙏🙏
Google translate is very accurate now. We wish it was THAT accurate when we travelled to Vietnam a few years back. We couldn’t communicate with the locals and ended up eating some questionable things haha
sadly it seem the local has forgotten the Tsunami Tragedy, many of the disaster-assistance facilities are neglected and need repair. Stay Safe !!! I’m jealous of your luxury stay, have fun !!!
I don’t think they have forgotten but its something they want to leave behind. We spoke to some locals, they said it was such a tragedy that they just want to focus on rebuilding and moving on.
