I drove some of these cars in the company I was in but with a 1.4 tdci engine. About 400.000km all together and I never had any problems or malfunctions. Excellent cars, with very good handling and fun to drive.
My parents had one for 3 years when I was little. Always had issues, and would often be at the workshop every 2 weeks because of how shitty it was. Now, my parents will never buy another Ford, and will probably also stick to Toyota.
But then you definitely need to know if the correct oil was always used and replaced in time, otherwise proof that the timing belt was replaced not too long ago while having the correct oil. Because the timing belt is in the oil. Works great if maintained well, but that can go wrong quickly once the wrong oil is used or not replaced in time
@@or2kr but so is every other car. No offense but I'm fed up with people constantly commenting this car is unreliable because of this, that car is trash because maintenance is rough blah blah... sucks to you all reliability disclaimers.

@@or2kr well used cars at this age probably cost less than third of a new one, I think it's fair to take some risks for a bargain. If you don't like the sound of that - go buy a new car and get ripped off.

I love how Fords handle on the road. Fun to drive, you dont want to stop and get off. Is addictive driving with Fords. I was considering Japanese small cars for the low consumption but at the end I want to enjoy driving and Fiesta is not that economic but the fun drive puts a smile in your face. That's even more important than few liters of fuel more or less.
Definitely. My first car was a Peugeot 107 (technically identical to the Toyota Aygo) it was cheap and frugal with fuel, but I didn’t enjoy myself whilst driving. It was loud and noisy on the highway, uncomfortable suspension. But it’s really cheap to own and drive. Wanted a bit more comfort so decided to switch to a Ford Fiesta 1.25L 60hp version.
This is what I'm driving (the 2 door version). It handles great, haven't had any major issues, but.. Mine won't go above 125, acceleration is pretty shitty.
@@bokichko @bojan pislevski apart from the acceleration, yes. It sticks to the road like a charm, no major issues. But if you want more speed and power, get a bigger engine than this.

The large rear overhang made the car not so much uncontrollable, but if it skidded, it was almost impossible to get it out of the skid, like some American from the late 80s
60 hp is just perfect for a car of this size/weight! I used to own a 2002 Fiesta and it got around town just fine. Just make sure not to race against anything that's not a Mk4 Golf 1.9 SDI..

If you are looking for used fiesta, go for the one equipped with ecoboost. It's much faster while having a same consumption with NA models

I did a test drive in the 60hp, 80hp and 120hp.
A major difference I must say. I bought the 120hp. It is so much faster and more relaxt to drive.

we own a 2011 fiesta 1.25 82hp and over-all we're pretty satisfied, would recommend it. only bad thing is fuel economy, it's pretty high

Well i Drive the 2009 Fiesta with the 1.25 engine and 82 HP and that Thing goes pretty good for its small engine

What about the power is 60Hp really enough? I dont think its even close to enough

This model is very fun to drive, but not with this engine. On highway, flat road, pedal to the metal, maximum 155 kmh.
