Alvin chose the song because it relates to the story of his life being raised by his grandma and now his grandmother is gone. just like ed sheeran's story when composing this song. 🥺♥️

😢 he chose this song bc it has a special meaning to him, he sang this song for his beloved grandma, like edd Sheeran.
fyi he raised by his grandmother bc his mom passed away when he was 1,5 years old, so he really close to her, she supports him to be a singer since a beginning (he was on 'kids singing show' once back on 2009 n took a 3rd place, his grandma pranked him to attend the show n told him that he went to soccer audition instead of singing contests 😅😊). and abt a year ago his grandma passed away too. so she had no chance to see him on the stage again 😢😢😢

I was hoping that the 2nd Chance to be a winner, but I get it, It's an X-factor, not Indonesian Idol or The Voice, just like the name of the show, people are looking for their '' X-factor " not just their singing techniques, their belting, acrobatics sing, etc

@@norahapsani8252 inti dari reaksinya adalah mereka suka cara nyanyi dan tekstur suara Alvin di lagu ini, emosinya dapet. Terus mereka juga bingung kenapa Alvin milih lagu ini padahal ini final round (jawaban di komen bilang karena inget sama neneknya yg udah meninggal, sama kaya Ed Sheeran waktu bikin lagu ini) dan mereka juga liat Alvin kaya nangis pas akhir penampilan tapi gatau bener apa engga (dan dijawab sama komen ini kalo dia emang nangis, ngerasain emosi dari lagunya plus inget neneknya).

Because this song is means a lot for him. This song is dedicated to his granny for raising him since child
He already give performances in different genres & styles in each episodes. He accept his fans' most requested song, he did dancing, rapp, etc. He challenged himself on new things every weeks. He close the last episode of the competition by choosing very personal song, dedicated to his grandmother (probably also his mom) who are already passed away

oh my god you gotta check him singing billie eilish's lovely with ziva magnolya! ziva was the 2nd runner up of Indonesian Idol 2020 (the same season with lyodra and tiara andini which you both have reacted on) and her popularity went crazy during and after indonesian idol. she's now one of the top artists here and we would love to have you guys react on her!
