Yes, that's the Rockaway Beach Branch used to be in use in the 19s, but got abandoned. And never been used. R211's ran on the abandoned Rockaway Beach Branch. And left the Rockaway Beach Branch. The LIRR used to run on the Rockaway Beach Branch.

I almost got stuck at Queens Plaza 2 weeks ago on my way back from Long Island on the LIRR and taking the E train from Sutphin Blvd and the F was across the platform waiting to be rerouted to the E line! Fortunately the E went first so I was on the E. I would rather avoid going to Roosevelt Island by tram or going into queens to take a shuttle bus! Great video GoGoSupertoe! After all these trains that I take, I never catch the Z since j don’t live in Queens but live near Bath Beach on the D

F is going local because the M train is not running because part of the F line has track replacement between Manhattan and Queens so the F train is doing the M stops
That makes sense, but all the official routing released by the MTA, including updated maps, says the F follows the E line, not the M. NBD Just more shenanigans.

It doesn't stop in Queens but it goes THROUGH Queens for a tiny stretch, and I thought would be fun to point that out. Plus I needed to get to the M somehow. Also the L happened to be R143 so it was worth it.
But the E train I rode when express, not local. And this was mid-day not rush. So I feel like it was just the MTA filling in a gap on the R service. Doesn't matter. Got it done.

Whenever I take the E, is always the R160s that is the 8900s-9099 set. Rarely the 9100s and above and below 8900s for me
