Ayy thanks man! We’ve only been around for a month but we don’t plan on leaving any time soon. Yeah man, Brandon‘s takes are always insane, the last vid we discussed the OP04 cards and I swear his takes were so controversial they almost felt like satire lmao
@@SmallHatCrew i have to say i agree with him on Vivi though, he made some good points 😂 any chance we get a blurple Crocochad deckbuilding thought process for op2? I've been trying different ratios etc and although I don't think he's very good with all the WB running around in every tournament, he's so very fun to play.
So BP Croc was definitely the plan at one point because he's me and Nick's favorite deck (he's literally in our channel banner), but it just feels impossible right now. Oden in Kin'emon destroys him, White Beard is a TERRIBLE match-up, Zoro rushes him down, we just kinda gave up on him OP02 and have just been playing around with OP03 builds for him because his good matchups right now are nonexistent. OP03 though we'll definitely be playing with him again. Three thousand worlds is a HUGE buff.
Awesome video!!! THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU for putting the card on the side so you can actually see it… Me being new to One Piece I want to read the ability from the card and make sure it’s the right drop or strength… Again thank you!!!
Ayyy my man! The channel definitely didn’t exist yet when we met. When we were talking in cocoa beach & you said “I didn’t plan on making a channel, I just did one day” I was thinking like “alright bet” and started one a couple weeks later. I’m only on my 5th week rn lmao
Really? So long as you play around Hell’s Judgment you should be good. When trying to secure a kill go 3k over the body you’re swinging into & same for when swinging into leader. Magellan lives & dies with that event, if you actually play with it in mind you should be fine.
@@SmallHatCrew I feel as though the Megellan character card poses an issue as well. Maybe I just keep playing against folks high rolling, but when they see the Megellan character card on curve and then play another in a turn or two it really puts a damper on things
I think you could definitely be right about the high-rolling. I play this matchup exactly the same as I do the Kaido matchup and it’s always felt very one sided. Try consistently swinging 6k into leader and don’t fight for board. 7k is never really worth it in a matchup where Hell’s Judgment exists. If you can go 8k though, even better.
The synergy is nice, but I’m also cutting it from my list. All playing the Brook really does is give you a 3k body and take a 2k counter out of your hand. The 3k body isn’t really valuable in Garp. If you had any other 2k in hand (like Otama) You could just manually attach the 2 don you would’ve spent on Brook, still get the -2 cost leader ability, and still have a 2k counter in your hand. Garp’s ability only lets you lower a 7c or lower, so if you play Tashigi & Tsuru, they can bring a 9c down to a 7c so that Garp can actually interact with it. To lower cost by 2 all you need is 2 don, the Brook doesn’t actually do anything for you.
It’s just brook attaching don that does the neg 2 to cost through Garp’s effect. You can just manually attach the don and use Garp’s effect to minus cost by 2 without playing the brook so you keep a 2k counter in hand. Brook doesn’t actually do anything for you that you couldn’t already do without him besides give you a useless 3k body on board. For that you may as well run any other 2k like Otama since it actually does something useful. Tashigi & Tsuru are also 2ks that can lower a White Beard or Oden’s cost by 2 so that you can target them with Garp’s effect. Brook can’t because they’re above 7.
@@dadaddy5308 We both played around with her, but the problem I ran into and I assume Brandon as well is the same problem causing 1 drop blockers to have been removed from most Regional topping lists, they die to Vista, Koby, Izo/4c Yamato, etc so you basically wasted a deck space committing it to a card that usually won’t do anything when you could’ve ran a more consistently performing card like a tech choice or 2k counter. Only Blue will let you get away with Nami. Opening Nami is basically starting the game neg 1 since you’re basically drawing 4 instead of 5 since she dies without accomplishing anything. This is just an opinion though, if she works for you though, by all means do what works for your play style.
This deck won first place? Locally? List kinda sus. The Nami that attaches rested don is almost imperative for free leader ability every turn. Brook is also not worse than Tsuru. He also organically triggers leader effect. So 1c Nami 2c Luffy and 2c Luffy give u free leader ability and they work altogether. Instead of worrying about lowering cost early game u get better utility and aggression. Also, just play 4 chopper. Cheap and also fodder.
I think the list is sus too but for completely different reasons, you can hear in my voice I disagree with a lot of his card choices or numbers lmao. One of the things I do support tho is the no Nami or Brook, in OP02 Nami is a body that's hard to establish because she doesn't stick to the board, everything kills her for minimal investment meaning you could replace her with a card that you'll actually get use out of. Think about why 1c blockers have been being cut from regional topping lists in OP2, it's because they're a wasted card since they just get popped. If you play Nami, attach the don you spent for her using her effect, then she dies to vista, she did nothing and all you did was neg 1 since you still could've attached the don even if you didn't have her. Nami is a win-more card, people look at her and picture her in the best case scenario of her surviving and attaching every turn rather than the more realistic outcome. The problem with Brook is that he's a 2k that doesn't do anything besides take a 2k out of your hand in exchange for a 3k body. If you really want to lower something by 2, you don't need Brook to do it, you could just manually attach the 2 don and achieve the same exact outcome AND keep a 2k in your hand. What Tsuru and Tashigi do that he doesn't is allow you to interact with White Beard, Oden, Kuzan, Kaido, etc since leader ability doesn't work on an 8c or higher. If you are looking at a White Beard and have a Brook in hand, you cannot lower it and HAVE to out it through combat. With Tashigi or Tsuru, you can lower him from 9 to 7, then Garp ability can lower him further.
I like when people play Individual decks. Very nice Deck profile. Greetz from germany
Thank you! Support from the other side of the world, I love it!
Thank u for showing us this deck profile videos every time. Greetings from Germany :)
Germany let’s gooo!!! Glad to see our videos are being watched on the opposite side of the world! More deck list coming soon, stay tuned!
Damn i love this channel 🎉 good explanations, great deck, awesome foils Although i do think hell's judgement is insane, sorry Brandon 😅

i need that playmat so bad, beautiful, great video as usual
AYY!!! Big thanks my guy & I'll ask Brandon where he got the mat
He said he bought it from a dude at our local that was making them, rip

That’s exactly why I included it, glad to see it actually mattered for once!
love garp but it's a fun deck from Op02 - Op03 :)
Those newgates got restricted for 1 card per deck now
My man diego is a prophet lmao
Ohhh shit bro I didnt know you had a channel

ay appreciate you, same to you homie. don’t get burnt out in these youtube streets lmao
He looks like blackbeard
LMAO I’ll let him know
how are the amtches `played out in tournaments? Bo3 with a sideboard?
They’re best of 1. Best of 3 is usually reserved for Top 16 of a regional or treasure cup. Those also don’t include sideboard though unfortunately.
Any tips on how to beat Megellan as luffy? Lol I seem to continually do horrible against him

Imagine Kuzan with 1000 counter... Why Bandai?? 😭
I know
There are other cards that have 1k counter with similar when attacking effect, but you dont get the draw 1 on play
You should definitely play 4 Usopp, I play Garp as well and this card is MVP for some extra draw.👍
This takes me back to when I played Usopp in OP01 when people started trying Blurple Croc lmao. He’s definitely one of the better 2k counters.
That nami unfortunately is banned
For 5 days
i feel like brook needs to be in the deck just for the skill alone its a minus 2 cost with just one card

Yeah Garp is definitely more of a fun leader, I don’t see him winning any big events or anything lmao
