- In this video we take on The Lich King, the final boss of the Knights of the Frozen Throne expansion for Hearthstone, with a Shaman deck that costs 800 dust to craft!

Strat TL;DR - Spam minions on the board, Evolve, and trade efficiently. If possible get down a Vicious Fledgling and buff it, but if it’s going to die don’t be scared to Evolve it. Save Hex for Sludge Belcher.
Mulligan: Murloc Raider, Evolve, Vicious Fledgling, Feral Spirit, and/or any other early plays such as Murloc Tidehunter.
Cards to Add: Master of Evolution will help out a lot, as will cards like Primalfin Totem (synergy with Flametongue Totem, a potential “scary” target for Obliterate) or Mana Tide Totem (for draw).
Cards to Remove: Razorfen Hunter and Elven Archer are probably two of the most underwhelming and least useful cards in the deck.

So... All we need to do is expect Lick King to have 4 weak turns, then evolve after a perfect feral spirit, no blizzard at turn 6 , bloodlust him for face, and already have our devolve ready .
Your videos really helped me with other classes , but this one... Insane RNG, 2 days trying to defeat him with a budget deck.

This is the most rng fight imo. I've been trying for like 2 hours, and am getting screwed over every time. These fights are hard, just incredibly annoying.

I tried for around 2-4 hours as Hunter and success
the principle of having evolve/devolve/bloodlust is essential, but you can change basic cards for more useful and not extremely expensive ones, like tunnel trogg, doppelgangster, big-time racketeer, wicked skeleton.
imho trogg with feral spirit is way better than fledgeling because you know that you'll get your extra damage and don't have to count on luck, just need some overload cards to defend yourself and grow your trogg.
if you have maelstrom portal from karazhan, that won't cost you a thing and it's as useful as lightning storm or a single volcano. after you devolved the spirits volcano can clear the board pretty much if you do'n't have any minions left at that time. but lightning storm can solve your problem too. at the beginning of the froustmourne phase i had a bloodmage (which can be replaced by tainted zealot), a portal and a storm in my hand, guess what happened.
these make the deck around 1600 dust with cards you'll need anyway. the point is, that spending more dust, your chance to win is way better.

Hey mate, can you do an "updated" guide to Lich king. I'm a new player, so i don't have Wild cards, only cards from the current Standard meta. Lots of new players don't have Wild cards and its kind of pointless to craft Wild cards (or spend real money on Wild boosters) just to beat this boss. Thanks a lot!!!

Did you have 2 of each lightning storm and doom hammer? Which cards did you replace with them?

I know that's not a basic deck, but I was really satisfied with my turn 4 Call the Finishers into double Everyfin is Awesome. 7 5/5 minions. Faster than Quest Rogue!

There is another cool way of doing it but it takes some RNG.. i did it with a 400 dust shaman..
only card u need is unstable evolution and other cards are lvl 1 minions
Playstyle is flooding the board with lvl1's and trying to evolve one of them into sorcerers apprentice or that priest minion... for the rest of the turn unstable evolution will cost 0 and you just evolve all minions into big boys.. i won by turn 3

also you can carry doomsayers for turn 7 and you'll need a taunt to protect it but it kicks him straight out of his frostmourn stage. I did this tactic a lot in these fights.
What is the 2019 version of this deck? Actually, the cards obtain a nerf or now other cards is wild(for example the evolve)

Used a this same concept but with a Murloc deck.
General win theory is to keep board control + expand, and use devolve to push through turn 7.
For me, the required cards were a Feral Spirits by turn 3, and a Devolve by turn 7. If I didn't draw them, I would just reset. This is a pretty easy win strategy as long as he doesn't pull a blizzard (he did on me a once) but is easy enough to drown him with damage by turn 8 with cards like raid leaders, dire wolfs, and Bloodlust.

Craft doppelganster 2x, volatile elemental 2x and that should make it much easier. I've tried it and its so much better
THIS WORKED
How to win this cheap (400 dust): Use unstable evolution (start with it in your hand) and a deck full of 1-cost minions. Try to fill your board with as many minions as you can by turn 4 or 5. Evolve them all, until you get Sorcerer's Apprentice or Radiant Elemental, which reduces spell cost into 0. Now you can keep evolving your other minions into very strong hitters the same turn and kill the boss before he even gets into Phase 2. Remember you just have to be patient until you rng into one of those cost-reducers. Personally once i finally got a radiant elemental, i evolved my minions into stuff like Deathwing and other such strong minions.. Even if the boss uses an obliterate, he will take heavy damage due to the high health. I won by turn 6.

Deck string would have been much appreaciated, mate… Other than that, phenomenal RNG. Just tried 1000 versions of decks like this one and it's honestly almost as much of a pain as warrior which I thought not possible but welp. Thanks anyway, gonna try this one, too. Just don't know how to get that godly draw + no blizzard + no 2 saronite chain gangs + no double antimagic shield + drawing the devolve in time… so… yeah

Did they nerf vicious fledgeling fury gain ? been getting it on the board for 20 games now but only once got fury in chooses ...
If ever, this is not longer possible, since he puts out (double)taunt minions and water elementals/grim necros far too often, compared to the deathrattle minion that gives you a decent minion. Dont "waste" your dust/time. Just go for a jade golem or other more reliable tactics.
ok, nvm I just killed him before he spawned the spirits, but apparently you need very good luck to develope the board and kill him using blood lust
Try to get evolve and the 2/1 murloc at the start for early dominance
Tommy, i usually love your videos but 800 dust is what a person would use to craft a budget viable semi-competitive deck, not a custom one for a solo adventure

It is made up of Dust Devil, Murlocs and Vicious Fledgling. It's almost 600 dusts.
I think Vicious Fledgling is not important. If you don't have Fledgling, you can replace it with another murloc.

I low his health to 1 at turn 6, thought i lose again. But lucky clear his minion at 7 and kill him with elven archer arrow :)).
Why did i kill those taunts om round 6? They would of died anyway when he equips his weapon. And THE deathrattle of weapon wouldnt trigger couse had full bord

michael m you either get it from a shop pack that you buy (depends on luck), either for in-game currency or real money, or you craft the card that you want/need.
i just cant beat him with this shaman deck anyone have anything else?

Probably, it's another evolve card so it's always at least going to do something.

Attempt 50+ and constantly getting rekt by Blizzard. You do have good RNG man but I know this deck will work.. eventually. I feel like viscous fledglings should be removed? Synergy seems off with them on this deck
Update: 100th attempt I had to change deck. Got rid of Vicious Fledglings and Dragonling Mechanic. Added 2x Lightning Storm and 2x Doppelgangsters.
Doppelgangsters synergizes REALLY well with Evolve. And on turn 7 Devolve and use lightning storm.
It really works guys just stick in there and pray for better RNG

Won with Priest months ago and was done with it because the other classes are ridiculous lol but I randomly came back to it and won with Mage and Rogue today after many loses with both! I'm drained after hours of trying but will be trying Shaman tomorrow. Good luck brother! Let me know how it goes!
Unstable Evolution + cheap 0-1cost minions. Play/restart until you evolve into a spell-cost reducer like sorcerer's apprentice and just rank up your minions to high levels by turn 3 already.

This deck is absolute garbage. I've been trying for 4 days now and no luck. I've even manage to get the same draw hand as him and play and Lich King always has Blizzard on Turn 6 or 2 Obliterates.
How bout you update your deck to be more accurate since obviously this strategy is no longer valid?

those guides are utter trash, if you are a new player and low on dust, do not waste it on this piece of rng crap, just play the game and wait until your collection is bigger and create deck on your own that actually makes sense
