Bangladesh & West Bengal was one when British carried out the population survey/census. Hindu population was 33% in undivided Bengal state, not just in Bangladesh, when bengal was divided under partition plan in 1947….West Bengal absorbed most Hindus and only about 10-12% remained in East Bengal, those are facts!
The fact is that million of Hindus who came as refugee during 1971 AD liberation war of Bangladesh never returned to Bangladesh. As a result the Bengali population in Tripura and Assan increased many fold. This has caused tremendous social and political tension in NE India, the affect of which was the movement of All Assam Student Union. India- Mujib Pact provided 1971 as cut off year. This facilitated naturalization of all new Hindu refugee as Indian citizen. Thereafter,; the infiltration of Hindu bengali did not stop. However; it can not be denied that maney Hindu families adopted Muslim name to get rid of discrimination. They gradually embraced Muslim religion.

Yes, very few who committed atrocities for last regime might have been able to flee to India, but they are mostly Muslims. Do you know there are many funds created for flood affected victims. The Hindu puja community gave its fund to an Islamic charity? Many flood affected Hindu families are taking shelter in Masjids because they feel safe there. There might be some sporadic incidents, but the fallen last regime is trying to create such incidents so that they can paint the interim government by the Nobel laureate as explained in the link I have given above by the Hindu Mohajot Secretary. You won’t see any incident of lynching in Bangladesh just because they are Hindu. Come visit us, you will be surprised.
