Im not sure about the victim or perpetrator thing, but michael was not evil, he was a tragic hero and the sole dynamic character of the series other than maybe young vito. And what he did was what needed to be done. He didnt become lost or corrupt he became stronger. He didnt think of it like killing his brother, but like killing a threat, a person who could cause harm to him or the "family" he is the perfect character in every way
I think he was forced to do what he actually did ... if he hadn't killed Sollozzo his father would have been murdered and if he hadn't sent assassins to the other Dons he would have taken their place ... the only thing he could actually avoid to do was killing his brother, that was really awful!

Michael did become evil. Killing his brother was an evil act no matter what he did. But, he was in an evil business and wanted to stay on top. But Vito (he was ruthless as well but did have a compassionate side) wouldn't have done the things Michael did as Don. But then again, Michael was the Don in a different era than Vito.

micheal is not evil; he eliminated his enemies; the people who tried to kill his father, that killed sonny; and those that tried to kill him. Nobody was innocent. I believe that Kate is evil. While Micheal kills men, she killed an unborn child.

No he is not evil in the literal sense, no one is all good and all evil. But Michael murdering his brother, Fredo, was the ultimate act of evil. He was a complicated man who committed many evil acts for different reasons. So I think this vid is very appropriate. Nice interpretation!
