Our old property has an Osage Orange hedge growing along one side. It’s probably extremely old, as the house dates back to the late 1700’s. More than once my siblings and I stepped on an Osage thorn, and we’d be writhing in pain for what felt like hours! Yes, that hedge was definitely impenetrable. Even the bark of those trees could grab and hold you, and tear your clothes. I never tried to make a bow from one, but now that I’m retired, it looks like a worthy project.

Any updates? Did you try making the bow? How did it go
No, I haven’t, but thank you for asking. My health and family matters are keeping me down.
