Combining this with the occasional $25 for $50 would be great too. I tend to wait for a few of those before I go since D&B isn't as close to me. Stacking that on a Wednesday made it so I spent around $75 for over 3 hours of straight game play last time. Thank you for doing all the math on this, might have to actually check the game out more than just the occasional try or two!
YES! That is why I said there are better ways to get more value. The coupons are a huge help! They don't do them weekly anymore :/ I used to always get a $20 for $20 during the week. Redeem it before wednesday and then go and play on Wednesday. But you're really increasing your profit margins if you can add those coupons to the mix!
My go to is usually crossy roads. I'm from the UK but most of ours are set at 50p a go and you get a ticket per step. My average is over 50 steps per play, a lot of the time 100+. Average at 1p per ticket £1 so 100 tickets = £1. Best one for me if I just need a few hundred tickers left for a decent prize with a budget of £20
That's a pretty good return! I love crossy road but since the jackpot is progressive, you can only win so much. At least with raptor captor you can win the needed amount of tickets everytime!
Their employees watch these videos, and the videos of other RUclips channels. The mathematics of the game was my favorite part since it's what I do almost every single day. You did an excellent job. This is still a carnival-like skill game that takes more physical and mental stamina than a coin pusher. I DO NOT doubt that you were able to earn more tickets at an overall positive expectation because you're good at it. Games can have a higher potential yield for skilled players, yet they can be a cash cow for the establishment at the same time because people don't know and/or don't have the skill set to play them.
99.9% of the time they are a cash cow. Even experienced players like us get sucked into the games. But it can definitely be advantageous if you know what you're doing!
@@TheArcadeCouple If you're an experienced player, you're not getting sucked into the games, you're exploiting an opportunity where the percentages are in your favor over the course of time.
The closest thing I have to a local arcade has one of these machines. So, I had to place a few plays into it...as who knows if I'd ever get the chance, again. And the most incredible thing happened. Like nothing I have ever seen in all these years. I literally landed the ball right into that 500 tube. And, you know what happened? It just sat there, as if some invisible string had pulled it into place. The crazy tube is so tight, it would not let the ball pass through! The ball did have this rough looking seal point to it. And, who knows...maybe they weren't the original balls for the game, as it really is quite ancient. But I've long since pondered if that one tube was even possible to ever land a ball into. Now, I know. I went for the attendant to fix the problem and he told me that he didn't have access to that part of the machine. Though, he did place the win on my card while adding a refund. I ran to get the camera to make a snapshot. Alas, when I got back, the jammed ball had been magically cleared and the card reader was locked down in service mode. Now, I wish that I had a video camera actively capturing that one in a zillion chance event. So, keep on filming all your arcade adventures. Never know when something unbelievable will just happen.
you should try hotwheels, they are easy 100 tickets. just spam 2x on the pedestal and get many coins, if you have more players playing with the same card you win more tickets
I wanna see a video of this technique executed. $250 on a Wednesday at Raptor Captor until it ends with a redemption of a Switch Might be a lot of editing but putting on the screen of the running ball/ticket average would be cool
@@austinsmith3605 I could load up a card with just $300 of credits and play only this game. Start with 0 tickets and see how many we end up with. I wonder how long that would take?
Dude, you have to wait for the hand thing to move over to the right before shooting. When the hand is on the left iside t blocks the 80 and 250 opportunities.
@@TheArcadeCouple don't forget to utilize the claws at the bottom too. red claw plus yellow claw awards 50 bonus tickets in the end and if you can get a green claw too awards 100 bonus tickets. For some reason I like aiming at the top right side instead of the left side
Aren’t there jackpot points on this game? You get two or three certain colors on the bottom and then press the “Game Over” button to redeem the extra points. I also saw the list for the jackpot levels. Maybe next time (if you do this game again as a stand alone video) you should try for the jackpots as well.m
There used to be jackpots for the middle claw piece that moves back and forth. And there was also jackpots for getting a certain amount of balls into specific colored holes. However, idk if that machine is broken, or they got rid of that feature, because as I was playing, I did not receive any extra jackpot tickets for those :/
So it used too (and it may still at other arcades) give you bonus tickets for going through the center. A little light would circle around those different values, and wherever it was when the ball went through, determined how many tickets you won. Without that feature, you are right, it is best to wait for it to clear out of the way!
I will definitely pay Raptor Captor, thanks! A go pro or maybe a tripod would allow you to use both hands though! That would be cool to watch you earn more tickets.
Unfortunately there is not enough room for a tri-pod to be set up on the machine, and we don't want to put a tri-pod near the game as it would block the walkway and D&B doesn't like that! Some sort of mount though, chest mount or hat mount should work!
So the punchline is that if i spend all day playing the same dumb game on a wednesday then i will most likely break even on a nintendo switch if i were to pay full price for it at a retail store?? wowowwow what a hidden treasure raptor captor is.
@@TheArcadeCouple LMAO! Idk if I commented on an earlier post, but it's the same thing at mine. But because it drops so many balls at once, it drops more than 50 balls. Even when I miss a bucket it will gives the jackpot
