really liked how you went into the steam achievement stats, a really unique aspect i've never seen other channels go into, and even if it's just for this vid, still pretty neat
Excellent review: very fair, which certainly isn't always a given for this game. For me, the difference between FFX and FFX-2 is that, where the first game is a meditation on death and finality and the ultimate ending of all things, its sequel is an unashamed celebration of life, and the sharp tonal shift between the two games isn't just something that the players of the first game must learn to reconcile through playing the game, but it's also something the other characters in-game, even the progressive Youth League and Al Bhed, are still learning to reconcile with as a society as well. But yeah, if you do revisit this game again then I do highly recommend exploring as many of the side stories as you can and definitely the Creature Creator mini game - some of the stuff in that is pretty damn wild
10-2 was my first final fantasy and the 10/10-2 story combo is my favorite game ever. Thank you for reviewing them in such a good light! 10 out of 10 can recommend 👌
I'm glad you like X-2. I think it's a good game. Maybe not a great narrative followup to X, but a good game nonetheless. It even has an emotional moment or two that the rest of the game wouldn't really lead you to believe it would have. It's nice. If you like series with recurring locations that have only slight changes between entries, I feel like you'd love that about the Yakuza series, which is a fantastic series that is worth your time regardless. If it interests you, at least. Anywho, yeah. X-2 is pretty nice.
1- experimental, yes but a failure as a sequel as it doesnt deliver what fnas of the first game would want. 2- strange decison to give a sequel to a game with such a loved and definitive ending. 3- the tonal shift is probably the game´s biggest sin. 4- funny how replayability is praised in the video. 10-2 is a game i cannot force myself to replay. Also it has the type of replayability that forces you to buy a guide. 5- the moster hunting thing was probably an afterthough and i count it as a failure. Still it is a side of FF that has huge potential to be explored. 13-2 did it much better in my opinion.

Look at how nice your hair looks these days. Keep up the good work!
When this came out I brought it day of release I got less than hour into it and traded it in next day 😅 I just couldn't handle the dance stuff lol
It's interesting, but it feels less like a game with a cohesive gameplay and story and more like a collection of loosely connected mini games.
And I couldn't even play it on PC. Even with Mods it kept crashing. Played about halfway through on Vita and put it down.
pretty accurate
