It's a shame what they've done to that H&C lift - this used be called the Drummond Centre, but when they extended and renamed it, oddly the original part was mostly untouched, including this lift. I seem to remember this being quite run down and derelict before.
The door mechanism on that glass lift seems to be very obtrusive. I have not seen any other glass doored lifts with the glass doors exhibiting the mechanics.
I went to primarily at the white rose in Leeds and went in the Otis Gen 2. The panel were the buttons were when I pressed it, it moved about a little. The panel was a dewhurst. My opinion on dewhurst (aka poohurst) is rubbish!

lift in debenhams is ok. all lifts must be glass unless there is a reason not to.
It's interesting how many in that area have been given embossed buttons from gen 2 - I wish more places would do that.
