Christine didn't " invest" in The Family??? She gave them all 28 years, she bore The Family 6 children. She was the "home wife", the wife that cooked, the wife who raised 13 children/ provided child care. She even worked at night at times. She washed clothes, cleaned and INVESTED 28 YEARS. If she left with money, no way was that enough. She earned every dime.

The way Christine responds to Robin, after what Robin has done and said, is a testament to Christine's character in this situation. She is so gentle and kind, placating. I'm so glad she's away from these vipers.
Since Kody is a narcissist he probably actually believes the crap that he is spewing…..Robyn and Meri are another story….two enablers in competition with each other yet codependent on each other…. Christine handled it perfectly, no emotional response gives Kody no fuel for his ego and need to control….

I agree- to me the saddest part of this whole episode was the revelation the Janelle basically got screwed when it comes to money. She was the major breadwinner for YEARS and invested into the family account and that money went into a 1M+ house for Robin, and Christine’s house… but Janelle got nothing… and has nothing . It’s heartbreaking.
I was appalled at Meri’s behavior. Christine tried so hard for so many years. She was in the family for what, like 25 years? And Meri just gets up at the end and doesn’t even say a word to her?? Also making rude comments during her interviews alone. She’s a real POS.

I love the way Christine grins when Kody tells her just to sit and think on the fact that she wanted him and not the family. She is so over it. She knows he's foolish. First off she wanted the family not JUST the man. She wanted a large family, but she wanted that relationship with him too. I admire her for having the courage to get through this discussion. Christine was used by Kody to fix a problem he created because plural marriage wasn’t working out. He and Meri loved each when they got married, but he never loved Janelle or Christine so he should not have married and used them. Meri didn’t like the other wives or sharing Kody with 2 others, but she encouraged him to court Robin. The “reason” to adopt her children so they could be added to their insurance, which they clearly didn’t have because Christine had to come up for HER daughter’s serious illness and the other’s surgery. Truth be told Kody fell in love with Robin and he wants the other wives to support his life with her. Kody has one wife and any child she gave birth to are his priority and he single handed is responsible for how they feel about him. His biological children from his 3 marriages were blessed to have 2 good parents, Christine and Janelle. All of those children saw how he alienated, neglected and at the very least verbally and mentally abused them. If he was a good “man” he would have been 💯 honest and divided all of the assets appropriately by the contributions they each made and let them go, but he didn’t because he can’t live within his means and a life he can support solely on his income, he feels he is entitled and he is going to sure his wife is well loved and taken care of, so these other women are basically helping fund his lifestyle.

She knew she wanted a polygamous marriage, but she DID care about the man too. So yeah, when Kody told her they weren't going to be having a physical relationship anymore, it really hit her hard. She wanted a full "marriage" relationship with relationship with him. Sure, there can be dry spells and arguments, but when he draws that line, she must decide if she's OK with it. She's seen Merri's non-marriage for years, and she's not willing to have that herself. (quite rightly) Then there's the clip where Kody basically says their marriage wasn't about love/romance when it began (don't remember exactly wgat ge said) and Christine says "It was to me."
We haven’t even seen a glimpse into really how awful Meri is off camera. The kids have said themselves that she has always been abusive. I have a feeling behind closed doors Meri is a terribly ugly mean cold hearted all about me person. Her acting doesn’t get recognized as much as Robyn’s because Robyn is just so bad at pretending to be something she’s not she thinks she’s a good actor but not knowing the public ain’t buying it at all. But Meri I think has been better at putting out this specific persona that she’s just this wounded pathetic bird that’s been so hurt by Kody who won’t let go and getting sympathy from the public because of how Kody treated her from the beginning of the show but we never got to see the real Meri like the family has all these years.

If I hear Robyn talk about “the family culture” one more time, I’m going to be ill. She never tried to fit in as an equal with the other wives. She deliberately segregated her children from the family for the most part. She only tried to include Kody with her children, not the rest of the family. I 10000000% agree . They are really bad at being bullies . Robin and Cody are manipulators at the worst level. I can tell Christine has been in therapy and has learned how to communicate with a narcissist- aka don’t communicate at all. I’m so proud of her, but that whole scene was hard to watch. Janelle is the GOAT for her support of Christine in that moment.
The piece I think you’re missing about Robyn is that she absolutely enjoys her favored position over the other women. It’s crucial to her self-worth. She needs the women around to reinforce this role. That’s why she’s upset. She’s playing her role, Kody defends her and she gets the reinforcement she craves. That’s the dynamic I’m seeing.
It was such an uncomfortable episode. Watching Kody yell at Christine and no one stood up for her was just awful. What on earth did he expect from her? He declared he didn't have any desire for intimacy with her. He also said she repulsed him when they were first together. I remember a scene where Janelle was telling one of her boys that they couldn't do Thanksgiving with kody bc of his covid rules, and her son didn't miss a beat and said something like, "Well whats christine doing? The look on Janelle’s face the entire conversation is like a woman who just woke up, she’s been doing so for a while but I think the way R, M & treated Christine and gaslit, dismissed and bullied her made her go “Okay, I’m done, too. I’m not going to take this anymore, either. I’ll be quiet right now but this isn’t okay. It hasn’t been okay. This is unbelievable but I see it now. I’m done, too.”
She had been able to just be physically in the room, but mentally checked out for so long, and now, you can tell she’s actually listening to what is said, and it’s changing her view of the family.

Robyn was the one that tokd Kody, on camera, that the little kids couldn't be away from him that long for him to go to Ysabel's surgery, which led to breaking Ysabel's heart and was the last straw in Christine and Kody's marriage. Now Kody says Robin is the victim because Christine is done and doesn't want to work on her relationship with Robyn and Robyn is crying her eye out on Meri.. Do they forget that the public has seen these all interactions on film. We have seen Meri's snarkiness. We have seen Robyn talk Kody out of being away from her kids, and now we are all supposed to believe that Christine is the villian. Not happening!
I would bet money that Robin knew exactly how it would play out by asking Christine if they could still have a relationship after she has some space. She knew Christine would say no, and then Robin comes out looking (to Kody) like the loving but rejected sister wife.
I don't understand why Janelle hasn't been able to make money selling real estate. She's very smart and personable; her boys have been pretty independent for a while; Savannah is a teenager and seems very capable (although I think she's been ignored by Kody). The way their finances are worked out is terribly unfair. She worked hard and putting her money in a family pot for others to use was ridicules. Kody's temper tantrum was simply disgusting; Robyn and Meri are selfish and the coming attraction for next week's show is very sad but telling. Kody and Robyn couldn't even be gracious when they said good-bye. I'm not criticizing little children but the fawning over Sol and Ariela's first day at school was nauseating. Kody has this weird thing about very little children; once they reach adolescence, he doesn't want to deal with them because they usually get his number and recognize him for the selfish creep that he is.
I picked up on the kids too. He’s a terrible communicator and leader. The older kids got tired of being ignored. Being a Father lasts a lifetime…not until age 17.

Competition is huge in real estate sales. So many people selling know among even relatives, someone who wants to sell their property. Then to purchase advertising out of proceeds? That is enormous.
People think real estate make tons of money but they don’t realize all the fees we are charged, our splits with brokers, upkeep on our cars and gas to put in those cars plus if the house deal falls through, you don’t get paid but you are still out the money and time you spent on it. Also, when house prices were going through the roof, loads of people got their license and jumped into the real estate pool. Most agents maybe clear only 1% of the purchase price of the house while spending 80-100 hours per week working.
I rolled my eyes at Kody, Meri, and Robyn so many times I hurt myself. Kody is out of touch with reality. Meri’s nervous laughter was so awkward. Robyn’s fake tears coupled with her saying Christine was a liar is just too much. I’m definitely team Christine and Janelle.
Yep..Meri manipulates but isn’t very bright. Robyn also manipulates and is a little brighter. The two women who are smart are the two friends. My father was extremely abusive to my mother and siblings our entire life so I’ve witnessed THOUSANDS upon THOUSANDS of these types of conversations. You literally cannot defend yourself. It honestly is best to just sit there and take it otherwise you’ll be sitting there for days and days rather than hours lol. It feels like a carousel that you can’t get off. You start at point A - make a circle around other things that have nothing to do with the actual problem all while being insulted and accused of everything under the sun - back to point A - do it all over again. You might be unfamiliar with the truths about polygamy. There is always a favorite, and the rest are marginalized. Men in polygamy visit their other wives when it’s time to make babies, and time to deliver them, as they need to inspect their property.

OMG! I had to turn off the episode several times before I could get thru it. It was so gross. First, Kody trying to get Meri on his side is the epitome of hypocrisy. I want to know why Kody says "Me and Robyn gave Christine the money for her house" when you hear from Janelle that she gave some of the proceeds from her house to Robyn from "family funds" We have learned that Kody uprooted the family for Robyn's special needs son's Arizona college choice. I used to feel bad for Meri, but she deserves all the gets....the original "mean girl" of the family. How does Kody not take ANY responsibility for his marriage failures? He blames Christine for not making the relationships work, but when he explains why he doesn't have a good relationship with someone it's their fault, not his lack of desire to make it work. He literally accused Christine of only wanting benefits for herself and in the same breathe then analogizes the marriage failure as an investment he didn't get a return on?! Anyway, I am shocked at how shocked I am.

This episode was very sad. Robin questioning Christine as if Christine is leaving on a whim is ridiculous. Why would Robin think Christine would want a relationship with her NOW? I thought it was just me thinking Meri was flirting with Kody. Her face lit up when he started talking to her. Kody is just beyond disgusting. Very selective memory to always put himself in the best light despite video evidence to the contrary. Why would the rest of the wives want to be with a man who treats people the way he does. Janelle was the voice of reason, and the writing is on the wall regarding her marriage to Kody. Bet he blames Christine for Janelle leaving!

After watching this episode...I'm convinced Christine is part of the Prozac Nation because there is no other way to explain her ability to sit through The 3 Stooges performing the seven stages of grief...horribly. It’s so strange when the trio talk about Christine not seeing the “value in the family” and is rejecting all of them because she divorced Kody. The statement itself makes no sense. So Christine choosing to leave a dysfunctional relationship after almost 30 years is “rejecting the family”? They are basically saying that being around/accessible to the “family” trumps her very sane and human need for personal happiness and fulfillment? It truly shows how used they got to minimizing Christine’s feelings and invalidating her attempts at voicing her feelings about how she and her children’s needs come last. Now that she has found her voice and is like “no more” they can’t handle it and are trying rewrite history to paint Christine as a selfish woman only out for herself when some other people fit that bill perfectly!

Christine didn't " invest" in The Family??? She gave them all 28 years, she bore The Family 6 children. I agree- to me the saddest part of this whole episode was the revelation the Janelle basically got screwed when it comes to money. Christine was used by Kody to fix a problem he created because plural marriage wasn’t working out. He and Meri loved each when they got married, but he never loved Janelle or Christine so he should not have married and used them. Meri didn’t like the other wives or sharing Kody with 2 others, but she encouraged him to court Robin. The “reason” to adopt her children so they could be added to their insurance, which they clearly didn’t have because Christine had to come up for HER daughter’s serious illness and the other’s surgery. Truth be told Kody fell in love with Robin and he wants the other wives to support his life with her. Kody has one wife and any child she gave birth to are his priority and he single handed is responsible for how they feel about him. His biological children from his 3 marriages were blessed to have 2 good parents, Christine and Janelle. All of those children saw how he alienated, neglected and at the very least verbally and mentally abused them. If he was a good “man” he would have been 💯 honest and divided all of the assets appropriately by the contributions they each made and let them go, but he didn’t because he can’t live within his means and a life he can support solely on his income, he feels he is entitled and he is going to sure his wife is well loved and taken care of, so these other women are basically helping fund his lifestyle.

THANK YOU!!! I was coming here to say that exact thing. Everyone always omits the word "just" from the quote, and it means something quite different. She knew she wanted a polygamous marriage, but she DID care about the man too. So yeah, when Kody told her they weren't going to be having a physical relationship anymore, it really hit her hard. She wanted a full "marriage" relationship with relationship with him. Sure, there can be dry spells and arguments, but when he draws that line, she must decide if she's OK with it. She's seen Merri's non-marriage for years, and she's not willing to have that herself. (quite rightly) Then there's the clip where Kody basically says their marriage wasn't about love/romance when it began (don't remember exactly wgat ge said) and Christine says "It was to me."

We haven’t even seen a glimpse into really how awful Meri is off camera. The kids have said themselves that she has always been abusive. I have a feeling behind closed doors Meri is a terribly ugly mean cold hearted all about me person. Her acting doesn’t get recognized as much as Robyn’s because Robyn is just so bad at pretending to be something she’s not she thinks she’s a good actor but not knowing the public ain’t buying it at all. I can tell Christine has been in therapy and has learned how to communicate with a narcissist- aka don’t communicate at all. I’m so proud of her, but that whole scene was hard to watch. Janelle is the GOAT for her support of Christine in that moment.
The piece I think you’re missing about Robyn is that she absolutely enjoys her favored position over the other women. It’s crucial to her self-worth. She needs the women around to reinforce this role. That’s why she’s upset. She’s playing her role, Kody defends her and she gets the reinforcement she craves. That’s the dynamic I’m seeing.

I would bet money that Robin knew exactly how it would play out by asking Christine if they could still have a relationship after she has some space. She knew Christine would say no, and then Robin comes out looking (to Kody) like the loving but rejected sister wife.
I don't understand why Janelle hasn't been able to make money selling real estate. She's very smart and personable; her boys have been pretty independent for a while; Savannah is a teenager and seems very capable (although I think she's been ignored by Kody). The way their finances are worked out is terribly unfair. She worked hard and putting her money in a family pot for others to use was ridicules.
Kody's temper tantrum was simply disgusting; Robyn and Meri are selfish and the coming attraction for next week's show is very sad but telling. Kody and Robyn couldn't even be gracious when they said good-bye.
I'm not criticizing little children but the fawning over Sol and Ariela's first day at school was nauseating. Kody has this weird thing about very little children; once they reach adolescence, he doesn't want to deal with them because they usually get his number and recognize him for the selfish creep that he is.
I picked up on the kids too. He’s a terrible communicator and leader. The older kids got tired of being ignored. Being a Father lasts a lifetime…not until age 17.

Competition is huge in real estate sales. So many people selling know among even relatives, someone who wants to sell their property. Then to purchase advertising out of proceeds? That is enormous.

People think real estate make tons of money but they don’t realize all the fees we are charged, our splits with brokers, upkeep on our cars and gas to put in those cars plus if the house deal falls through, you don’t get paid but you are still out the money and time you spent on it. Also, when house prices were going through the roof, loads of people got their license and jumped into the real estate pool. Most agents maybe clear only 1% of the purchase price of the house while spending 80-100 hours per week working.
I rolled my eyes at Kody, Meri, and Robyn so many times I hurt myself. Kody is out of touch with reality. Meri’s nervous laughter was so awkward. Robyn’s fake tears coupled with her saying Christine was a liar is just too much. I’m definitely team Christine and Janelle.
Yep..Meri manipulates but isn’t very bright. Robyn also manipulates and is a little brighter. The two women who are smart are the two friends. The next phase of this show…Kody gaining a new wife, new kids and Meri being the nanny now that Christine is gone. Janelle is not far behind. She needs to get the money back they stole from her.

It’s infuriating!!! She did literally everything for the family! It was the man that bloody screwed the marriage up, not the family. She has a problem with the man, oh wait, kody, that’s you!!!! When Robyn joined the family, Christine reached out to her, and asked if she could be a help to her regarding the kids, but Robyn refused. When kody says Christine helped raise all the other kids, (yet somehow she still contributed nothing) she shunned Robyn’s kids and refused to have anything to do with them. Kody just doesn’t care that it is all recorded, that we all can go back and disprove everything he says!!!! He doesn’t care.
It broke my heart when kody was talking about how he didn’t marry Christine for love, and she is crestfallen, and says she thought it was love, that SHE married him for love. She thought he loved her. Yet every hand hold, every kiss that she treasured meant nothing to him beyond a sense of “duty.” It is positively sickening!!! What a screwed up excuse of a man.
That’s not all I’m surprised that no one brings up the conversation between kody and Christine where he says he never loved her he said he was never attracted to her he said they can have a marriage without intimacy people all the time do it . OMG! I had to turn off the episode several times before I could get thru it. It was so gross. First, Kody trying to get Meri on his side is the epitome of hypocrisy. He has essentially told everyone he could care less if she marries someone else, won't spend time with her and now he wants her to jump in and start kicking Christine in defense of him? He is thee worst. I want to know why Kody says "Me and Robyn gave Christine the money for her house" when you hear from Janelle that she gave some of the proceeds from her house to Robyn from "family funds" We have learned that Kody uprooted the family for Robyn's special needs son's Arizona college choice. I used to feel bad for Meri, but she deserves all the gets....the original "mean girl" of the family. How does Kody not take ANY responsibility for his marriage failures? He blames Christine for not making the relationships work, but when he explains why he doesn't have a good relationship with someone it's their fault, not his lack of desire to make it work. He literally accused Christine of only wanting benefits for herself and in the same breathe then analogizes the marriage failure as an investment he didn't get a return on?! Anyway, I am shocked at how shocked I am.

This episode was very sad. Robin questioning Christine as if Christine is leaving on a whim is ridiculous. Why would Robin think Christine would want a relationship with her NOW? I thought it was just me thinking Meri was flirting with Kody. Her face lit up when he started talking to her. Kody is just beyond disgusting. Very selective memory to always put himself in the best light despite video evidence to the contrary. Why would the rest of the wives want to be with a man who treats people the way he does. Janelle was the voice of reason, and the writing is on the wall regarding her marriage to Kody. Bet he blames Christine for Janelle leaving!

It’s so strange when the trio talk about Christine not seeing the “value in the family” and is rejecting all of them because she divorced Kody. The statement itself makes no sense. So Christine choosing to leave a dysfunctional relationship after almost 30 years is “rejecting the family”? They are basically saying that being around/accessible to the “family” trumps her very sane and human need for personal happiness and fulfillment? It truly shows how used they got to minimizing Christine’s feelings and invalidating her attempts at voicing her feelings about how she and her children’s needs come last. Now that she has found her voice and is like “no more” they can’t handle it and are trying rewrite history to paint Christine as a selfish woman only out for herself when some other people fit that bill perfectly!
