I had my hysterectomy my stay was one night but the day of my surgery I told my hubby to take everything home. They had supplied me with a toothbrush and toothpaste and they make you wear their gowns so what was the point lol I didn't have to carry anything with me. Hubby brought me clothes to go home in and slippers that's all I needed. My daughter and hubby brought me feel better balloons and some plush bears but I told them to take them home too lol I even sent hubby home. The nurse comes in and says...where is your family I said home I want to rest so I sent them all home. It was such a nice quiet recovery alone time. It was good.
Lol “I even sent hubby home” thats funny. I’m considering doing this procedure due to fibroids and adenomyosis. I think I might be the same way and send everyone and everything home lol.
I am having a vertical hysterectomy because my uterus is so large. I was diagnosed with uterine cancer and have been bleeding and hemorhhaging with many trips to the ER. I will be in several days as I am diabetic and dr. is worried I will pop stitches so will be staying awhile and treatments are starting in Jan. I will be cut from pubic bone up my abdomen. I have no one to help me.
I totally admire you. I wish I could get the hysterectomy for the same reasons as you are getting it done, but in my country you must have kids and be over 30 y/o in order to be eligible to get it :( I'm 26 and have no kids and I'm trying to stay as strong as possible until I'm eligible for it. Advil and pads are my best friends for now 😂
It definately is a long and rocky journey. All the best with your upcoming surgery and a speedy recovery (slow and steady with your pink cat blanket and socks) plus lots of rest with your dogs (joking). Thank you for sharing your journey, it has also helped me.🙃
Bet you that you couldn’t carry anything or barely get to the bathroom and back. What of these items did you use? I would think that pain and meds would keep you knocked out. I haven’t had mine yet but I have had surgery and none of this, except diabetes stuff, would be needed. I’m going alone and can’t bring anything that I can’t carry in a pocket.
So glad you are prepared friend! Even if it’s a short stay, I know it will help you to be as comfortable as possible and make it a little easier. Love those jammies too! You are being so brave and strong during this journey. You got this! 💪🏼 love you lots! 😘
I absolutely 💕love your vlogs! I found you today while searching for information for my upcoming hysterectomy, it’s on June 9th! I can relate to everything you say. I am also a mom of 2 boys. 👦🏻👦🏻I am excited but yet terrified at the same time, especially with Covid going on. THANK YOU SO MUCH for sharing your experience! I hope that you are doing awesome!!! 🌹🙏🏼💗
Aww, thank you . wish you nothing but the best on your upcoming surgery. Everything will be perfect, and surgery will go great . it's not an easy decision but the best for our health. ❤
Pammy_ V thank you so much! How sweet! Yeah, I have suffered with fibroids and for 30 years I have had the worst periods and pain. I can’t even imagine a life without it... I’m looking forward to enjoying my life, pain free, with my husband and boys! So much to look forward to! ❌⭕️❌⭕️

I love your toiletry bag and due to my problems I watch videos like this to give me hope one I’ll have one.
Yea my darling dont give up hope, everything always finds its way 💖
Where did you get your makeup bag set? Love it
I bought it at Burglington 👏
Was there somewhere close to you for plugging in your phone etc?
In my hospital room there wasnt a plug near by the bed. Thankfully I had my husband there, I would recomend purchasing a longer charging cord .
I had my wireless charger at full charge, which helped.
