Elevate and ice shines use orthodox shoe inserts.wear elastic compression bandages massage or foam roll area of coarse rest but if you must train run on softest surfaces you can find grass dirt over cement.Try running in a pool.Lots of stretching.Good luck and best wishes for speedy recovery.

Right now you are at a point where mentally (emotionally) you need time to catch up to where athletics has taken you physically. You have a whole career of running ahead of you if that’s what you choose to do... and progress is not always linear... there will be times when you feel like you are moving backwards... it’s a process and it won’t always be an easy one... generally speaking the physical part is easier than the mental part... so don’t beat yourself up if you slip and fall... get back up, brush the dust off... and start running again... and if you need a break... trust me... take one!!!!
I know this is super random but hearing about your injury reminds me of myself going through a lot of injuries as a 2x Olympian... I want to recommend one thing-> Check out the app called curable. It’s gonna change your whole perspective on pain/injuries and like you said mental growth! Try it!!
