Use a 13 mm to loosen the nut on the pulley face to release it .the bolt that adjusts the pulley is on the front of the engine " there is a hole straight through the bumper to the adjustment bolt you will need some extensions a 13 mm socket and ratchet & possibly a swivel, look for a 2inch by 2inch square on the passenger bumper pop it off and it goes straight to the bolt." You can reach down the front and back of the engine to feel how the belt is positioned "don't forget the timing mark just above the crank pully, the belt goes under it" .the belt goes over the crank , ac compressor, and the alternater .it goes under the water pump and the tension idler pully .hope this helps

How do you loosen the adjusting bolt below the Alternator, is it clockwise or counterclockwise? I tried it on my wife's 2013 Nissan versa but it's seems hard so I didn't continue, then I tried to turn it clockwise still it's getting hard to loosen.
Which one to loosen first, the nut on adjustment pulley or the bolt below Alternator? I didn't continue to do it because I got hard time removing the nut either. Do you loosen the nut counterclockwise or clockwise?
I'm thinking to just being it repair shop but I want to save some money too. Please help!

Just a tip. Nissan was smart enouoh to mack a hole to place an allen key or what ever you may have to keep the tentioner pulled back till you release the tention

Thanks for your effort, but the lighting is not enough & the steps of taking off & putting on the belt are not shown clearly. I hope if you can redo the video taking in mind the fore-said points. May be you can work after taking off the plastic cover over the right tire in order to give you more light & space & to show the viewers in a clearer way at the same time.

Thanks for the pointers, I'll keep it in mind to use a flash light when I redo the steps.

Hi Brandon, make sure that the pulley is loose enough as well as the adjuster so that you can slide the belt right on.
