Thank you very much! The next layout is still only in the planning stage, but the plan is indeed to make more videos showing its construction & eventually operation. I'm also planning on videos showing some of my rolling stock kit builds as well.
Just found this and have to say it's excellent work. Both the video, sound effects and the layout its self. Well done! I am just at the very begining of my 009 journey!
Thanks for the great comment! The new layout is still in the planning phase, but I hope to make a start in the next few months & make some vids of the process
Thanks! I never really got around to adding a lot of the finer details (& this video was shot after I removed some things like lineside fencing), but it seems to have come across pleasingly well on camera
A wonderful layout, and superbly matched soundtrack. It's a shame that you're dismantling it, but if its replacement is going to be better, then I look forward to seeing that one on here too 🙂
Thank you very much for the kind comments! This layout is now no longer, but there is a video on the channel about its building and it being dismantled. The new layout is currently just track on a board, but I'm starting scenic work hopefully this week
Lovely - and many months ahead of the Hornby guys !! I'm a returner so find other highly detailed layouts like yours a treat, the only thing missing from your set up is smoke....perhaps that's the next (new/ old) gimmick to flog us new gear ? Have a great day.
Thanks, the sound is all dubbed in afterwards using audio from my various videos of actual narrow gauge railways. It's quite a painstaking job to try and match up clips that feel right, but I think it works quite well
It's a sadly discontinued Rodney Stenning kit on the old ibertren chassis. Sadly hard to get hold of now, but I'm sure when Bachmann release their Sir Handel someone will do a conversion kit, as Fourdees did for Peter Sam. Incidentally, info about all the locos is in the description 😀
Thanks. The onboard footage and some shots where the camera is right in the layout was shot on my GoPro. It's not really what it's designed for, and it struggles with close focus, but it provides a different perspective.
Thanks! The plan is a larger layout with multiple stations. It's still in the planning phase, but I'm hoping to make videos showing its progress once I reach that stage!
@@FortheLoveofSteam The modularity can be implemented into the design. A station maybe a module, a stretch between stations maybe another module. A station, depending on it's layout maybe subdivided into people, goods and accessories modules. Your party 😉
Thanks for reaching out. I'm afraid I have too many unbuilt kits of my own at the moment to think about building for someone else, but Purbeck Works or Mulberry Modelling Works on facebook might be able to help
Watching this felt like watching actual footage of a railways last days. Nice layout and i hope your future ones are even better :)
Thank you very much! Progress is happening on the new layout, albeit slower than I would have liked!
For a first attempt, it was astonishingly well executed, I look forward to seeing more of your future layout, both under construction, and running.

Awesome, thank you very much! All the best on your 009 journey, I hope you enjoy it just as much as I am!
From the USA....Beautiful layout, excellent scenery...great sound effects...your next layout will be even more beautiful!....hope to see videos soon.
Thanks for the great comment! The new layout is still in the planning phase, but I hope to make a start in the next few months & make some vids of the process
Great little model if mine works out half as good I will be chuffed. Thanks for showing us. God bless

This is so well made
Thank you!

What a great layout, well done!!
Thank you, and thanks for watching!
fantastic layout, has been really good inspiration for my first OO9 layout :)
That's great to hear, thanks for taking the time to comment, and best of luck with your 009 Railway Adventure!
Nice work!
Thank you, glad you enjoyed!
Fantastic video .Like it very much.
Thank you for taking the time to watch and comment, it's much appreciated! Glad you enjoyed it!

Thank you for the kind words. I don't think I really reached the highly detailed stage, but the video probably flatters it!
Is the sound actually in the engines or is it dubbed in for the video? It sounds really good.

Great layout and a great watch , the recordings ....ffestiniog at all ?
Thanks! Yeah, the sound is taken from various of my other videos. Mostly Ffestiniog, Welsh Highland & Talyllyn!
Lovely looking layout. I'm currently building my 1st 009 layout. What dimensions was your layout please.
Thanks. The baseboard is 2'6" by 4'6". Good luck with your layout, and have fun!
What is that falcon you’ve got from? I’ve wanted to make a Corris one for a while now

Haha ok thanks for the info
What have you used to record the onboard video at 3:50 and 7:30? Great footage of your layout.

Hi all, newbie here. Wanna build a 2 ft (610 mm) gauge in N scale. Any suggestion on the tracks? Nn3? 00-9? Z? Thanks in advance!!
Always sad 😭 to see a preserved narrow gauge line being closed down 😉
Nice video 👍 quite impressive.
So what are you planning next?

@@FortheLoveofSteam Please make it modular. You'll thank yourself for it later on, guaranteed 😉
I'm going to need to make it moveable, so it looks like modules will be the way forward. Just got to get my head around it!

@@FortheLoveofSteam Okay no worries, thank you :) I love the layout and locomotives we have here in wales.
