Make a conditional offer, Kevin: Must leave 2 Bandsaws, 1 pantorouter, the drill-powered scaffold, maybe the tractor, plus all footage of mousetrap experiments.
I've been watching you for years now and I just figured out that you live like ten minutes away from where I grew up in Almonte! My mind is blown right now.
Must have been a hard decision to leave all this, I hope it all works out OK for you and your family. Looking forward to seeing you up and running in your new home. All the best.
Oh, mein Herz blutet.
what a beautiful property... I'd love to walk through the trees and sit down at the river. does anyone have a very rough ballpark figure range for how much properties like this go for? I've got no idea but I'm very curious!
Nice tour, hope the sale goes well, beautiful piece of countryside. You forgot to mention it's essentially a beautiful suburb of Ottawa for anyone in the tech, nfp, or public sector! I had a coworker who traded the use of his fields for beef, pork and chicken from a farmer. He never had to buy meat. Bet you could grow a nice big garden somewhere by the house too. Also lots of artists and studio tours out that way!
like many of your followers I am deeply saddened that I will be deprived of the little slices of ingenuity you've shared with us from what has been such an idilic setting and one to which many of us no doubt aspire to. I'm sure we're all united in wishing you the speediest of recoveries so that your productivity can return to similar levels to those we've enjoyed in the past although in a setting more to the needs of yourself and your family.
Found it on Google maps; very nice, mostly tilled land which is surprising as the tour gives the impression of more woodland. Looks like a nice small town. So, Fulton's or Mama's Place for breakfast?
Man, I feel bad for you. This looks like a very neat place to raise your children. But then again, your decision is probably the best thing to do. We recently moved out of a house where we lived 25 years.... Good luck with the move!
I have been trying to extract as much information as possible about the interesting topography of this property from your videos - this aerial video really put everything nicely together for me. And unfortunately there are several reasons why I cannot by it.
Aww was hoping it was your drone so we get drone experiments. Do you think you’ll miss all the maintenance when you leave? My dad downsized when we all moved out and while his body is likely thankful he tells us all the time he gets bored cause he is used to always having a to do list
You forgot to mention the livestock Black Flies ! I love everything about Canada but those flies but what a beautiful set up with a lot of potential for more tillable land .
It looks like heaven to some, and a hell of a lot of work to others! The first thing you need is good health, before you even start to think about the $$.
I just heard about your pain; and that you are selling out. I"ll be missing your you tube . I wood buy one of your home bade band saws if you could send it to Michigan ! Paul Thomas
Country acreage is basically free in central Canada. 100 acres 10 minutes from town costs less then an 1/8th acre in town. Can have identical homes on it.
Damn. Riverfront property is my dream, and it’s not far from my parents’ cottage. Looking at the aerial view, it looks like you could paddle downstream all the way to Arnprior with 2, maybe 3 short portages? Sorry you’ve got to let this piece of land go, although I entirely understand why you’ve decided it’s impractical for you and your family. Best of luck with the sale and the move, and I’m looking forward to videos about your discovery and building of your new home and shop in Fredericton.
This is very, very attractive. You are truly fortunate to have lived in such a lovely place. I'd be interested, but I live several thousand miles away. If you're finding it difficult to maintain, I suspect that I, with twice your years, would find it impossible.
Beautiful place! Google Earth views are 13 years old, unfortunately, but interesting nevertheless. Streetview is 6 years old but doesn't show much from the entrance to the driveway. What a nice place to bring up kids!
We are looking for country property but unfortunately a bit to far away from where we currently live, near Hamilton Ontario. Good Luck, it is a sellers market at least where we live.
How many pantorouters does it come with?
You could scavenge a few otters from that river and use them to carve tenons in 2x4's, no need to spend $18 on pantorouter plans...
krtwood I think there are three of them. Kkkk
Make a conditional offer, Kevin: Must leave 2 Bandsaws, 1 pantorouter, the drill-powered scaffold, maybe the tractor, plus all footage of mousetrap experiments.
Yonatan24 ahhh, the fabled Canadian Panto-otter!
No way, that stuff gives you tendinitis.
I cannot believe you are moving again. Was looking forward to the giant bridge built.
Ahhh the soon to open Matthias Wandel Museum.
I've been watching you for years now and I just figured out that you live like ten minutes away from where I grew up in Almonte! My mind is blown right now.
Must have been a hard decision to leave all this, I hope it all works out OK for you and your family. Looking forward to seeing you up and running in your new home. All the best.
Was showing my wife, just for fun, and I noticed that you have hydro lines right down to the river. Having power right there is a huge bonus!
Love your video's Matthias - hope to see more from your new place , hope your move is smooth and get healthy once again .

He says the price in the description 750 000

May your transition go smoothly and safely! Epic flyover video, that is good editing with voiceover.
You own an island?!
Kolajer Apparently...
fr i was like dam wandel
That's youtube money there
John Sams no.
Bob Tahoma money in ads though
You would never catch me selling that. Seems like a little piece of heaven.
That property looks amazing. Shame you can't keep up with it. If I were a Canadian citizen and thought I could afford it I'd jump on it.
You and me both. If I didn't have family in the states, I would certainly try to buy this land.
There are countries that will give you their "green card" if you invest a big chunk of money.
Great Scott... What a lovely place you lived!
I want to see the build video for the homemade wooden drone used in this flyover!
Alonso Castro he probably just screwed a pantorouter and a bandsaw on a camera
Hope you heal up soon. Good luck with the new place.
I wish you luck in the transition to your new home!
It's beautiful. It looks so peaceful and quiet.
Think of all those log cabins you could build and rent out ☺
like many of your followers I am deeply saddened that I will be deprived of the little slices of ingenuity you've shared with us from what has been such an idilic setting and one to which many of us no doubt aspire to. That's a big place. I can see that that would be a fair bit of upkeep. Best wishes with a speedy sale!
Found it on Google maps; very nice, mostly tilled land which is surprising as the tour gives the impression of more woodland. Looks like a nice small town. So, Fulton's or Mama's Place for breakfast?

Wow, if only I could move out there. That is an amazing property.
That is one huge chunk of land
Wishing a successful sale Matthias. More important, health, strength and patience needed for the years ahead caring for loved ones.
I have been trying to extract as much information as possible about the interesting topography of this property from your videos - this aerial video really put everything nicely together for me. And unfortunately there are several reasons why I cannot by it.
I'm sorry you have to move Matthias. I think you enjoy the country. Such a nice place.
Too bad you can't trim off that camping area next to the river.
I had no idea it was so big! Wow beautiful
Ha! That island makes it a snap to find it on Googleearth. We're looking just a little more to the West, into the rocks a bit.
Aww was hoping it was your drone so we get drone experiments. Do you think you’ll miss all the maintenance when you leave? My dad downsized when we all moved out and while his body is likely thankful he tells us all the time he gets bored cause he is used to always having a to do list
Hi, Hope you get a nice pice. Good luck! Rob
You forgot to mention the livestock Black Flies ! I love everything about Canada but those flies but what a beautiful set up with a lot of potential for more tillable land .
Hi I Like This Area. . But I want. .To Know Transportation. Actually effect. .Nearest City. ? ?. Thanks. .Sincerely. . .Awan . .
Ontario. . .
It would have been so awesome if you built a fishing cabin on the island!
It looks like heaven to some, and a hell of a lot of work to others! The first thing you need is good health, before you even start to think about the $$.
I am very curious what the price of it will be, just curious to compare it to prices here
I can scarcely believe that anyone could leave such a beautiful property to move to Fredericton, NB without a heavy heart...
Beautiful bit of landscape there Matthias
Consider whether leasing it out is feasible.
Wish i could afford something like that.... what a nice place!
I’m sure you’ll find a buyer in no time. Beautiful property
Do you ship worldwide or is this America Only?
It's Canada buddy 😉
Canada is part of America Buddy :)
Oh I didn't realize we were talking about the continent. In that case we would call it North America for shipping purposes.
Doug Reed canada is part of north america, north america is part of america, therefore canada is part of america, atleast according to m logic ;)
muh1h1 he's not your buddy, friend!
Wow that's amazing so beautiful,i wish a could afford it i would move there in a heartbeat
I just heard about your pain; and that you are selling out. I"ll be missing your you tube . I wood buy one of your home bade band saws if you could send it to Michigan ! Paul Thomas
I wish you were healthier, I would have loved to see a video of you constructing a bridge to that island. Oh well.... Get well soon buddy.
How's the fishing in the river?
Wow, the scaffold got a major extension and power boost! :) Nice overview of the property.
Country acreage is basically free in central Canada. 100 acres 10 minutes from town costs less then an 1/8th acre in town. Can have identical homes on it.
Sure I'd like it there but your winters are a bit colder than where I live in Australia. Hope you get your price.
Damn. Riverfront property is my dream, and it’s not far from my parents’ cottage. Looking at the aerial view, it looks like you could paddle downstream all the way to Arnprior with 2, maybe 3 short portages?

Sucks that your moving out of Ontario. Was hoping to one day met you at one of the home Depots buying panorouter parts
Congrats on selling the place!
beautiful land. wish I could afford such a nice place! good luck selling it!
In a heartbeat! What a beautiful place. Brb becoming Canadian
Wow. Incredible property
That’s my dream home!!!! So much land and garages 😱🤩
Do you have the plans for this on your website?
What happened to the property with all the cottages?
Good luck with the sale - looks like a great property! 5% commission is shocking, I still think they're pushing it when they go to 2% here in the UK!
Post another vide once you have decided on a price. I may be interested.
email me. Wive didn't want me to post the price.
good luck on the sale, the property really looks nice
There’s a 100 acre vacant property near me that also borders a river that’s just been reduced to $997,000. Walton county Georgia.
Only a greedy uncaring fool would pay that much money for anything
This is very, very attractive. You are truly fortunate to have lived in such a lovely place. I'd be interested, but I live several thousand miles away. If you're finding it difficult to maintain, I suspect that I, with twice your years, would find it impossible.
Nicole K
You're 96 years old???
Nice property. So beautiful.
Best of luck!
Curious why you are moving.
It's a heaven for me ❣️
Great property. Good application of a drone
How did you afford all of that?
Wow, what an amazing property.
Beautiful. Too bad I have a snow allergy.
Hope you get your price.
What did it go for?
What an awesome piece of land.
Good on you! God bless...
The grass is definitely greener there!
Stunning. Would buy but not looking to move to Canada
beautiful, beautiful place
You had all that...and not a single fishing video :( feelsbadman
Have you ever been on that Island?
Best of Luck with the sale!
Holy cow that's huge! And gorgeous!
what a beautiful piece of land
Holy moly that is huge and incredible, a dream! Why sell instead of rent? Or is this too much to answer in in comment?
too much time goes into it. If we rent it out, I still have to spend a lot of time at it, and we are moving quite a ways away
5% agent commission! Wow! In Australia we feel ripped off at 2.09%!
GitarStu in the USA it can normally be 7%
In the U.S., it's more like 6%.
That's ridiculous!
I'm currently selling my property for 1.09% plus tax. We were able to negotiate that price with the agent and they're happy with that.
Sold a property in central Ohio USA last week at 6%, 3% to buyer's agent, 3% to seller's agent
That little island will make one hell of a party pad
MAN!! Thats georgious! I'd love to live there
If you can't sell it without a agent, who can?
Beautiful place! Google Earth views are 13 years old, unfortunately, but interesting nevertheless. Streetview is 6 years old but doesn't show much from the entrance to the driveway. What a nice place to bring up kids!
Very nice! How much are you asking? I’ll give $1200 for it. Is that enough? I can’t really afford more than that.
Matthias, I didn't know you were a fellow Mississippian?! Mississippi in Canada, wow. Lol
Why not rent out the house?
I didn't see the lodges that your father built, or are they somewhere else? I'm sorry you have to move, it's so sad.
ForestCat_Peter different property. This is his own place, not his fathers old place.
Meine Güte, das ist ja riesig 😱
Sind das ernsthaft 47 Hektar?
My dog would have so much fun there and me in that workshop
Wishing you good luck with your sell.
We are looking for country property but unfortunately a bit to far away from where we currently live, near Hamilton Ontario.
Good Luck, it is a sellers market at least where we live.
Good luck.
Magical place.
I never new your farm property was located so close to a river
Do the leased assets come with the property?
Leased out land is part of the property
How much? Will you take a cheque?
