You can even see from the lyrics from Suga’s verse the “better go home to Hawaii” coz he was born there haha Hobi is the hypeman here. Also all the cyphers they made are basically their answers to their haters, so it’s not really a competition bet the three rather showcasing their diverse styles and talents against the antis ✨
I am excited!! I love the cyphers! Kind of wish you did them all at once to compare and contrast same time, but no biggy. The way they flow is good because the first one is really less intense and an introduction. They second and third are amazing. Aggressive. Then the fourth kind of slows down, and has this different meaning where they've accepted the haters and are now just having fun with them. It's a nice evolution! Thanks for your BTS reactions!
Thanks for your reaction! I rarely listened to rap before I started down the BTS rabbit hole. Now, I love the rap styles of the "kpop" groups I listen to. BTS rappers are definitely the best. Suga is my bias but they are all phenomenal!
I never grew up liking hip hop or rap, but BTS's music includes rap and hip hop with almost every song. I've gotten used to it and also started to appreciate what they do. I never thought of these 3 rappers as competing against one another in who's verse is best, I just see it as a different style of each. From J-hopes more melodic rap, to RM's sophisticated styles, to Sugar's intensity and speed, it's like listening to a song, but instead of being repetitive, it's like hearing 3 different songs in one. I still am not a fan of hip hop and rap, but I will listen to those that BTS puts out, totally satisfied with this and also collaborations that they do with other artists.
RM is an amazing rapper and most versatile musician in K-pop ever. There is no one at his level. All his albums even the tracks in the same albums have different styles and genres it is understandable you guys are also surprised about how versatile his discography is 😊 There is a reason why he was chosen as the main rapper of the group fyi RM was already named as s tear rapper in hip-hop communities in SK before BTS and he has been very respected by hip-hop community even though he is categorized as an idol to the point he was considered the first idol who has broke the wall between kpop and hip-hop scene in SK and earned "street credit" for idol rappers as told by Tiger JK who is the most creditable rapper and is rightfully called " Godfather of Hip-hop" in SK he has been RM' s biggest fan and supporter ( also Collab with him twice) sadly none of the idol rappers including Suga and JHope have same kind of respect from hip-hop community until this day 😢and even his 1st mixtape RM was charted #12 in Billboard World Album charts while not being available on Apple music, Spotify or any streaming platforms ( it was only released on sound cloud for free) and named as one of the best rap albums of the year in US back in 2015 as solo artist RapMonster on his own merit way before BTS gets worldwide fame.

RM and Suga went off of those rappers (the video from the BTS guide where they were dissing both of them calling them sellouts and girls etc) specifically in this one especially in Suga's verses. Just wanted to warn cuz there is always a part that throws people off in most translations I've seen of Cypher pt. 3 during J-Hope's verse the Korean onomatopoeia used for the sound of a cellphone vibrating or ringing (previously used for a pager/beeper as well) but often they write the romanization in these lyric vids as "PiPi" when an alternative romanization is "bbibbi" as well. Basically it's kinda like us saying the onomatopoeia "beep beep".
