Funky =/= funk Funk describes a specific style of music. "Funky" is a descriptor of the groove of this blues track. It has a bit 16th swing, some syncopated emphasis. It's a funky blues backing track, not a funk backing track.
Try doing some 16th swinging muted strumming, popping out little bites of the chords with the syncopation. That's funky as hell. You can't practice rhythm guitar on this track then tell me it's not funky, come on.
The tempo is challenging lol, fast enough to struggle with picking that swing, and slow enough to struggle with legato, it’s perfect for practice
