I would love to know what inspired the keepers to work at the zoo? And also what department other than their current one would they like to work in and why?
I love Koalas, Kookaburras and Kangaroos! I love Kangaroos and Koalas because they are so fluffy and adorable and Kookaburras because of their wild call! ❤️
@@samrashah3182 Easily one of the most beautiful moments I've ever seen. Still love and miss Steve. I can remember exactly where I was and what I was doing when I found out he had passed.
Hi, Great videos! and ... I have a question. Like many people I am ashamed to say that I have a fear of snakes! When you handle a snake, they always look as thought they want to attack and bite me. Is their a difference between coiling back and exploring their environment versus coiling back and preparing to strike? How can you tell the difference?
Many zoos, wildlife parks, marine aquariums worldwide often have “volunteer” work programs to give people the opportunity to work close to the animals with the option of later becoming full-time staff. This especially helps college/university students who may be studying to be veterinarians or working with animals in some way, like say a marine biologist. I don’t know what age your friend is that you mentioned but if he or she is in that position (attending University), they may be able to do volunteer work & maybe go full-time if or when they graduate. ....Having a degree in animal studies or particular field of expertise will be a huge help for them if they aim to go full-time after graduation as many facilities look very favourably on those who have noted expertise or experience with working with animals. I hope that helps 🤞😎🤞
@@rocket8_8 ... Hey, in regards to it, it couldn’t hurt to have an “extra ace or 2 up your sleeve” huh??? The more experience & education a person has in regards to working with animals of any kind, the better their long term success will be. ALL THE BEST ✌️😎👍
@@rocket8_8 ... Don’t ever be afraid to even ask a staff member when visiting one of these places about volunteering or what you’d need to be able to work there. A friend of mine started out as a volunteer & is now living out her dream of working with Tigers, all of whom adore her. It will take a while, but as the saying goes.... “Patience is a virtue” 🙏😌
I must be weird. As someone who reads about biology and evolution all the time, my favorite animal facts are always about weird mating behavior, sexual selection, and how reproduction works in a given species. For example, echidnas have a 4 headed penis. I guess as someone who wants to help endangered species, I just want to learn whatever facts will better enable a species to make more of themselves
Do you have a question for our keepers? Pop your comment below and you might get a feature in the next episode!

Snake Discovery has a great video about reading your snakes body language.
is it hard to be a keeper? how do u learn more about the animals ?
Our question is, how does one become a zoo keeper at Australia Zoo?
Be good in front of a camera and on a mic and smile a lot is my guess 🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️
Did you know that wombat poo is square shaped
Definitely not staged interviews and questions
Can't wait to be part of the team 💪🙌
How many seconds can snakes stay under water

What is the worker's favorite part of working there other than the animals
1st to comment, and i am surprised how utube isn't being weird anymore. there was 0 likes and views when i clicked㋛︎
Have you met Bindy’s baby?
God is good and love. Jesus is coming back again soon
I'm sure the Irwins are great people, but from all the job reviews I've read (50+) Australia Zoo management and treatment of employees is atrocious.
