@@pakpala1 an amazing intelligent black woman eloquently expressed her thoughts in a interview about her and you still managed to make it about the white man. 😒
Free? We are all individuals, within the collective. Individualism does not build, maintain or support human civilization. Individuals are powerless against a collective. Case in point: Our present (global) situation, being imposed by a collective of powerful individuals.
It’s insulting that he asks why racism is so dominant in our life as if he doesn’t know. I realized he’s allowing her to explain but it’s still a weird vibe
Pure facts…when I first noticed how desperately a person carrying racist ideologies needed a willing person to get pulled down 2 or 3 levels morally to engage or be hurt, I knew I had saw the real vulnerability clearly. Ever since, it’s been all about me, my love, my healing and the fact that you can and should carefully choose who you give access to influence your moral integrity. ❤ Too many people choose to engage in calling out others before grounding themselves in love of themselves!
Of course she still experiences racism on an everyday basis. Asking the question demonstrates that you understand this. When Mr Rose stated “ that there is no way for the rest of us to understand that daily encounter,” can only be true if “ the rest of us” have no humanity. He is either grossly ignorant or disingenuous. When you are the cause of crimes against human beings, and then say that you can’t understand the victim’s plight, you just confirmed her assessment that the people who do, tolerate, support, or are indifferent, crimes against non whites globally, are bereft, and suffer from a serious collective psychosis, and are morally inferior.
Exactly, which is why the Most High allows racism to still exist. He says he would rather you were hot or cold.... meaning those who are cold towards Him and His ppl are left to their exploits, to complete to the fullest. Their judgement will be just based on their deeds. They go hard in their immorality, they are not lukewarm. They take their wickedness to the fullest, and He allows it.......for now.
The griot, Toni Morrison. She challenges White people (and frankly, all of us) to reflectively interrogate our assumptions, feelings, and morals. Self-reflection is really difficult, especially when, as the griot said, racism (and other isms) must feel good because we keep doing it.
I agree with her about the restraint. I also came to understand the further damage done to this man. When they asked of him to stop the chaos caused by the injustice done to him.
