GBS -a demeyelinating disease Affects the fibres which are rich in myelin first. Fibres supplying Proximal muscles are richer in myelin c/o Fibres which supply Distal muscles. So GBS first affects Proximal muscles of LL f/b LL distal muscles then it progresses to Proximal UL muscles f/b Distal UL muscles. Hence it is an ascending paralysis meaning first LL f/b UL but 1st Proximal f/b Distal muscles

Excellent 👍💯👏
Sir isnt gbs starts from distal which is ascending paralysis
Same doubt

@@rohansunny2578 hello but everywhere it's written that gbs affects distal muscle first can u please explain
Is tapping a way to demonstrate fasciculations
Very nice explanation 👌
Thank you so much sir..
Sir you told gbs is demyelinating neuropathy which is proximal
But in GBS ascending paralysis is seen?
Ascending paralysis means the first LOwer limbs are involved followed by upper limbs followed by brain stem. Proximal to distal isn’t ascending.
@@doctord2897 yes
I have the same doubt sir @the white army can u please this
Why can't it be AMSAN variant of GBS? It is an axonal neuropathy and has sensory involvement too.
Thank you sir🙏🙏
Very helpful discussion, very helpful book .. coming from a 3rd year pg resident 👍
In gbs ascending paralysis starts from distal ?
Proximal
1:38:17 CIDP also produces tremors not that important
How to join mam class for DM students?

1:37:13 beta agonist and drugs like Lithium producing tremors
1:37:20 antipsychotics as well as Valproate antiepileptic...also produces tremor
Where can we download the ppt of the case from?

Thank you sir🙏
