Looks like great value for money. If you think that a Range Rover is more than double, sometimes even triple, the Rexton's price tag, this car is a worthy consideration.

What is the price for new
£45,000 - but leasing is better!
Sadly the wade depth is a mere 300 mm - disastrous for a supposed off-roader! Mitsubishi Shogun Sport is 700mm and the Nissan Navara 650 mm by comparison. Deep puddles will cause the Rexton serious grief. This is a great shame as I was seriously considering this car for my next vehicle.

It is not correct. I drove through 650 mm deep water. There were absolutely no problems.

I would suggest that either you over estimated the depth of water you say you were driving though or you just got lucky - that time!
Hard to believe. The former Rexton W had a wade depth til 500 mm. And I drove some times through a depth more than 650 mm without any problems. Problems I had with my Velar if Iried more than 400 mm. After that there came problems with the electronic, and I had to dry it.
@@rainerschuster3101 Yes, it is disappointing, but that's what Ssangyong (UK) informed me. It might be that the car is capable of a deeper depth but they're 'playing safe". Nevertheless, if flood damage did occur your car's insurance company might question a damage claim if they found out you were travelling through deeper water.
It could also be the the later version of the Rexton is simply 'softer' than the older model. I noticed that here, in the UK, the 2020 facelift version of the newer model also doesn't now come with a spare wheel but has a "tyre repair kit"! No self-respecting off-roader should come without a full-sized spare as it's just asking for trouble (you might be able to still order a spare perhaps). I use my vehicles for equestrian purposes, meaning I often have to tow and travel over fields and moorland areas. In those circumstances, punctures are a real possibility so a full size spare is a must or you're potentially stranded. There's no way the AA/RAC or similar would countenance providing assistance (e.g towing) any where away from a tarmac road. Wade depth and spare wheel issues apart, I really like the look of the newer Rexton and you get a lot of car for your money.
