Thank you! I have not tested it on leather, but I think - yes, it will filter fumes out. I took the idea from chemistry lab, where simple water bubble filters are extensively used exactly to filter out any harmful fumes. Works very well in my case (engraving wood). You can cascade the filters, put two bottles in sequence, if you wish. As a final step you have to catch the water droplets (thats is what the inversed bottle is for) and you can also put an extra box of vacuum filter paper, to see the cleanness of air passing through the system. Or you can let the vacuum cleaner used as suction pump to do this final job. I have observed some colouring of vacuum filter, probably from still unfiltered wood oils, but the smoke and smell is almost completely gone. Experiment. Good luck!

great! but i have big laser 1300x900. please tell me: will it work on big power machine?
Hello! I have not tested it on huge volume of smoke, you will have to test it. It is not difficult to set up that bottle and check in your environment. Overall I will say that it will filter. Much better than conventional filters. And it is easy to change the water once it becomes really dirty. You can put two or even three water filters in series, if necessary. I found two is enough. There is some oily residue in the cleaned air, which browns the vacuum machine filter (but does not clog it) in my system. That is O.K. for me. I can even put one more box in the line with cheap vacuum bag in it, to catch some of the residue. If you use standard piping connections, it is easy to reconfigure the system and experiment. Good luck!
Remninds me of a Bong I once used :) ...😁 ...
What is that?

Looks great. Does it filter out dangerous fumes and the smell of engraving leather? :)
If it does, then why is there not an affordable solution?
