The guitarist is called Slash. It's argued he's one of the top guitarists ever. Axel Rose is the lead singer, rhythm guitarist Izzy Stradlin, bassist Duff McKagan, and drummer Steven Adler. They rocked the 80's no error.
GnR is one if fav all time bands. I love Slash. But come on. Go watch Eddie Van Halen's "Eruption" solo and Slash can't hold Eddie jock in comparison. And Eddie is one of many like Hendrix, Page, Clapton, etc. Not saying Slash isn't great, just a giant leap behind some others. :)
@@randomperson8695 good comparison as far as recognizable intros go, Lynyrd Skynyrd knows a thing or two about that and not many intros more recognizable than sweet home Alabama
The "where do we go now" part was meant to be filler until they could write some lyrics. They literally didn't know how to end the song, but it worked, so they kept it in.
Cool story. Other than the opening riff, that where do we go repeating over and over is icing on the cake. I'm glad they kept it in. That is so much part of the track that I can't even imagine it not being there. Too bad those guys didn't stay together back in the days. SMH yo, peace to you and yours bro
I'm glad you saw my recommendations for Guns n Roses. November Rain is one of my favorites and would be a good one to do next.A beautiful lady that likes the music I grew up listening to. AWESOME!!
I mentioned november-rain a few minutes ago. If we get a few people mentioning November Rain, she should eventually see it in the comments and check it off the bucket list. If she liked this, he's going to like November Rain. Peace to you and yours and I don't want to get on our nerves but if you can get some friends to just request November random maybe we will get it. Peace!
It's been said that Guns N' Roses took over rock music without even really trying, and this song might have been the biggest reason why. And the craziest thing is that the song was originally an afterthought. The opening riff was originally a warmup, while the final "Where do we go now?" lyric was Axl literally asking what the next lyric was supposed to be.
The family sing it acapella in “Step Brothers” in the car? And Cheryl Crow did a cover for Adam Sandler’s Big Daddy. It’s also in Captain Fantastic with Viggo Morgenson. The creator of Patreon is a musician and has a new RUclips channel analyzing songs. He just released a video about this song this week. Professional Musicians React. Great channel!
You are my new favorite reaction channel.. finally a reactor that doesn't pause and just takes in the content. Awesome job. Thank you for being awesome.
I saw GnR (Guns N Roses) in 1993 on their Use Your Illusion tour in Chapel Hill, NC. Was the best rock concert I’ve ever been too. If you remember Blind Melon, they opened up for GnR. Not long after, the lead singer Shannon Hoon overdosed on drugs and we lost him. Was glad I got to see Blind Melon in concert.
The guitar move is called a windmill, popularized by the guitarist from The Who, who you should make a video of - look up The Who "Baba O'Reily". Also, I'd love to see reactions to Sabaton "The Last Stand" or Great Big Sea "Ordinary Day".
True story: when they went to the studio to record the track, there was a drink machine with beer in it instead of soft drinks. Guess what happened next. And Axl wrote the lyrics about a girl he was seeing at the time - Erin Everly, daughter of Phil Everly of the Everly Bros. "All I Have To Do Is Dream" for one.
Do Knocking on heaven's door and Paradise City from the Freddie Mercury tribute concert. If you want to see the best live band ever! Which guns and roses is you'll love it
Fun fact: The lead singer is named Axl Rose and their first lead guitarist was Tracii Guns. Hence the name Guns and Roses. Though Tracii Guns was kicked out of the band and replaced with Slash before Guns and Roses became famous. Tracii Guns went on to form the band L.A. Guns, and has played in several other bands too.
the story behind this music video is bonkers. its a miracle it even got made honestly. you could probably do a whole 'behind the music' on this video alone. The song that started the end of GnR.
The guitarist, Slash, has a solo career and is touring next year. The band Plush will be one of the opening bands on tour with him. Plush is an all girl band that are all under the age of 21. The base player was the session bassist on Slash's new album. The lead singer was on the Voice and sounds a lot like Ann Wilson of Heart. The drummer is an awesome RUclipsr that has been covering songs since she was 12. The guitarist is awesome. Plush's first album will be out this month I believe. You have to check them out! I am going to see Slash and Plush next year in Boston! 😁
Every girl had a crush on Axl Rose and Jon Bon Jovi back in the 80s. I remember my bedroom wall was covered in rock posters, a good 1/3 of them were of Guns 'N Roses (though i think i leaned a bit more towards Bon Jovi).
Hey Shiloh! I love how you let the whole video play instead of interrupting it every few seconds like other reactions do! This is how you earned a new subscriber! Now as to request, well I'd like to do a reaction to Lightning Crashes by Live!

Lot of people can do it in studio that don't mean s*** check them out live. And they're doing a tribute to Queen which I know you love so it's a can't miss
Please do Paradise City(official Video) next, as it is my personal favorite G n R tune, but you can't go wrong with most things from this band. Their debut album "Appetite for Destruction" is the best selling debut of all time, so that should tell you a little something about this band.
The movie is called the Wrestler this band will never die there songs are on many movies there first was Deadpool Welcome to the Jungle 1988 the most famous of them all in my opinion was You could be mine on Terminator 2 1991
The only movie I know where "Sweet Child O' Mine" was used, is Big Daddy with Adam Sandler. Thing is though, it was sung by Sheryl Crow and not GN'R. 🤘🤘🤘
If you haven't checked out November Rain yet, do it, yesterday. As far as what movie you heard the sweet child of mine part, Big Daddy. It wasn't gnr, but I think it was Sheryl Crow covering it.
Late to THIS party, and I'm sure someone has mentioned it already in the comments but I'm too lazy to look...Honesty is important lol....Anyway, the "Where do we go" outro of the song has an interesting story, and the bandmates themselves have told. They had the MUSIC for that part of the song, but weren't sure where to GO with it lyrically...Yanno, "Well shit guys, the lyrics kick ass til the end part, but WHERE DO WE GO NOW", so, while rehearsing he just sang "where do we go now" and it stuck.
After seeing your reaction to this, I would love to see you react to more AC/DC. Know you did one reaction to them but I'm adding a couple links to their songs that will give you a completely different perspective of them. The first link is to TNT ruclips.net/video/44XYEeD1A1U/видео.html and this next link is to Whole Lotta Rosie ruclips.net/video/QMvE0yFnR0I/видео.html Between the band and the crowd the energy is amazing.
I heard that the "where do we go now" line came about because after Slash's solo Axl said " I don't know where to go from here!" Which makes perfect sense cause that line is doesn't fit in the song at all 😉
Also when they were trying to get their first album out MTV said they wouldn't play them at all. Somehow their manager or agent got them a spot on MTV Monday at 3 am...radio death time. They played Welcome to the Jungle .... over 10,000 calls 🤣🤣 came in at once and their switchboard caught fire!!!!
Omg ! I was so in and out of frame in this video! New set up guys ! I’m working on it 🤣😂

Saw them live last summer in Vegas, They still know how to rock.
I’m lucky enough too of seen them live over 10 times they kick ass everytime
Izzy, the dude doing the windmill arm on the guitar, was their secret weapon. He co-wrote so many of their songs and was cool AF
The band sadly went so down hill when Izzy left modern day gnr still rock but Izzy will always be missed
That guitar solo rocks way harder than it has any business doing on a song like this

Loved that you brought up the part that the video goes to color.... yeah Slash is real. Metal beast.
You're probably thinking of the movie Step Brothers. There is also a colorized version of this song which has more footage for the same video.
